Thanks, this video helped me a lot. I've been cubing for over 5 years now and still average times of about 12-15 secs, so as you can imagine, I have a lot of bad habits. But now I will finally learn full OLL and try to use as much of your tips as possible, thanks so much!
I find it interesting that after solving bigger cubes, 3x3 looks so much easier that it helps your mindset in solving it faster, so that's definitely a good tip you mentioned there! I've been cubing for 1 year and average sub30, hoping to get sub20 this year also with some of these tips, thanks!
Leranung 2 look will help so much haha and also practice is key with 2 hours of cubing everyday i got to sub 60 to sub 16 in 3 months haha,in 2 months i got to sub 20 in 1 month i was sub 30 Not to brag but it will be very tedious at 100 solves my fastest time was 30 and at 1k solves my fastest was a 20 so it will take some time and practice
I never comment but this was so exceptionally helpful! I’ve been stuck at a 1 min 30 second average since I started cubing in February. With your tips so far I’m down to about a minute average. Once I learn the OLL and PLL I strongly believe I can make my times go down by a lot. This video was very encouraging and helpful and I hope you keep up the great work!
Now I average 8 seconds. 6 months ago I was averaging 13-14 seconds. And I stuck at 13 seconds for like a month. But one morning I was just 11 seconds. And I skipped the 12 seconds mark. I stuck at 11 seconds for 2 months. And then one morning I was averaging 10 seconds. And I stuck at 10 seconds for a month just like everytime. Like before one morning I was 9. I feel like sub 10 is so much harder than 11 to 10. But that's just a lie. I didn't actually stuck at 9 seconds like before. For a week I was averaging 9 and on next Monday I was just at 8 seconds. The thing I'm trying to say is that improvement just happens overnight 😂😂😂
Me: Let's hope this video isn't for CFOP solvers... KADtheCuber: Before you try learning these tips, I highly encourage you to learn full OLL and PLL. Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
This video is great! And I really like how universal some of these tips are. I don’t even use CFOP anymore, but this video can still help me in many ways. Thank you!
I got my first sub 10 average yesterday and since then I’ve been pretty consistent with 9-10 second solves and I have to admit these tips are very useful
What a nice video, man! I honestly think that all of the tips you pointed out are very important and I've already used most of them and saw improvement! I really enjoyed the quality as well! You just earned +1 sub for your channel 🙂. Keep going! Cya! 🙂🖖
I was averaging 20's and now after solving Megaminx and 4×4 for some solves , I am not averaging nearly... 16-17's But it might because the scramble was good , I will try for some more days and Let's see....
the way i train is by 2-Gen which helps with tracking of pieces and slow solves to help try correct my mistakes and try to see if i could do F2L in any better way
Currently about a year in and averaging around 15-16 seconds on a good day (16-high 17 normally). PB single is currently 10.62 and PB average is 14.02. I will come back sometime down the line and update this with my progress, and add some of my own tips. (Assuming I get to sub-10)
One of dozens of videos to mention doing slow/casual solves. Here is the problem: Thing is, I can't come up with new/more efficient ways to do F2L. I've been stuck above 15s for half a decade now and it is probably my F2L efficiency that's causing it. How would I practice certain cases and their algs so that I implement them into my solves
Dang. I guess I just don’t practice enough. I’m aware of all these but I’m still at ~18s. Have been for like 10 years. Gonna be rough to break my bad habits
It took me 5 freaking months to be sub 15 why does people took almost years to even become sub 20? Why! Just focus guys! don't practice hard practice smart. Have a daily plan. Don't just memorize algorithm, know why and what does the algs do to your solves. Now i'm road to sub 10 and i'm learning new tips for me i'm planning to compete once i'm in tge sub10 level.
tysm for this video, my ao5 pb is 11.60 and my single is 7.29, but I just can't get a "global" average under 13 (ao100 for example), so yea this helped a lot
Hi! I have a little question. Lets say I tracked a pair in inspection but it results in a really bad f2l case. What is better: Should I forget about the planned pair and do another pair / Do it anyway as fast as I could without a pause? P.S. Fantasmic video!!
I know I didn’t say this in the video, but I would try my best to predict the exact f2l case in inspection. If you see that a pair would be bad, look for a different pair. I also encourage you to not use a timed inspection, so you have as much to as you want to plan your start. But if I had to choose between the options, I would say solve it anyways.... but I’m not certain. When you’re practicing, try it both ways and choose which one works best for you, cuz I’m uncertain on which way is best. Dang this is a good question 😂
2 ปีที่แล้ว +1
I know this is an old questions....... but In this case, i'd ultimately prioritise fluidity of solving the pair rather than looking for soemthing else (especially if you are on timed inspection). Sometimes you may hesitate mid solving if you consider too many options, and despite it probably being less efficient, the fluidity will overcome those pauses.
Great video! I Hope to achieve this milestone soon as I am currently averaging 12-13 seconds (11-12 on a good day)
Me too
I’m averaging 13-15 seconds just 13 on a good day

As someone averaging on the brink of sub 10, I really need this to push myself through that last 0.2 second barrier. Thank you in advance!

I love the looks of ur room, the combination of the colour between blue and white really attract my attention.
Even though Lazermonkey's video on F2L doesn't get specific with fingertricks, it still has to be the greatest basic F2L resourse of all time.
