This is a nice balance between anime and comic book versions of Harley. I love this figure and just may scoop her up.
Yeah, it's different, but recognizable, I like it even more after the review and messing more.
Just got her this past week, and I'm glad you mentioned the tape thing at 2:00, couldn't remember if these figures came sealed with tape or not. Great video!
Yeah, it always throws me, I even usually have a blade out and ready, only to realize there's no tape on these.
I feel like Jobbythehong is gonna have a *Fun* time with that figure if he ever gets it

7:49 I saw your elbow joint is cracked, my EVA Natayanagi's shoulder joint also cracked like this.
Maybe they use new material to made these joint.

I really like that figure actually. I am not normally a fan of the Revoltech figures.
Actually there is a quote, although not as crazy as per usual. The Japanese characters in white and red on the back of the box, 要しのプリンちゃん,来たわよ♡, roughly translates to "I'm coming, puddin'! ♡"

I've never found amazing yamaguchi that hard to pose.
This costume reminds me of her appearance in the Harley Quinn series on DC Universe Streaming App. Now I need a King Shark BAF with custom hoodie and pants.
This is her look in the New 52 (comics)
And the look she has in the new animated serie "Harley Quinn" is basically the Rebirth look (also comics)
The background wee cardboard poster thing, looks like t connects to the death stroke one, good touch but it doesn’t really connect to the left more like diagonally

What do you do to prepare for your videos? Is there anything you do to prepare yourself before talking to a camera or do you just jump into it?
It is a great figure. Best from revoltech IMO, with Deathstroke not far behind her.
She can do all kinds of great poses and still look natural
Where do you get that cloth cape for that Batman? I've been wanting to get him for a while but that cape just terrifies me.
That was a custom job a friend gave me, but you can usually find wired capes on Ebay.
Actually, there is a quote for the big fonts in brackets that says “I’m here pudding ❤️ “ in Japanese .

**Wilhelm scream** No, Robo, what's with the eyes not lining up from inside to outside??? That's a crime against man and nature!!! ;) Seriously, though, that's bugs the heck out of me, yikes! I've never had a figure with moveable eyes but that's something I can see making me sit for hours obsessing over "now the LEFT eye is too far right and the RIGHT eye is looking down and now the OTHER eye is... wait, how many eyes does this HAVE anyway???" :P
Thank you for this review because, well, I'd intended to do some scrimping and saving for this one and now I'm not quite so sure whether it might be better for my sanity to pass. ;) Also, I admit to being kinda confounded by the Revoltech joints. I only have Spider-Gwen but I've never been able to tell if her right knee doesn't want to bend very far or if its just that I can't seem to figure out how to bend it properly (despite watching videos on how to work these joints and getting out my old lady lighted magnifying glass and the whole nine yards ;) ). It feels like I'm going to snap it completely off every time I try to move it more than a little bit so I've just left it a slightly bent and work around it. She's still a great looking figure but it's a bit of a bummer that I KNOW she's got a lot of articulation that I just can't seem to make use of. :S [/lots of words]
The dc villians has this same costume design and had tbvh aside from the skates (which roll and peg into the bottom of the feet no switching required) and the socks having a more thick sock texture. This figure blows thecde villains out of the water. Also the dc villians has a handgun and soft rubbery holster

The Iron Man drives me crazy cause it's so damn hard to switch out the accessories, which are the main draw of that figure
this might be my first revoltech, it has what they do best, and drawbacks is getting less and less relevant. not to mention that this is a very diffrent, (but very cool) look for harley.

Can I ask a really dumb question....Who or what is Yamaguchi? I always thought it was an artist or designer like McFarlane, but after looking it up, I couldn't find a particular person.

MacFarlane's harley was pretty disappointing so this was a pleasant surprise to end the 1st month of the year

She's really cute and I admire the sculpt/posability but this thing was what, $70 on release? Now it's typically >$100... It's really not worth that.

That is a really cool figure!...Of a really bad design. Yeesh. But, it is nice to see Revo getting better.

Just a "Meh" (at best) issue by Revo IMO & an easy pass (for me anyway). Looks more like a doll for a little girl than a badass DC action figure IMO. Not sure why they somehow decided to issue a Harley in their DC line before a Superman, Joker and/or Catwoman.
Hate to tell ya but they're all dolls. And you don't think an AY Catwoman wouldn't give you the same heebie jeebies?
@@TheFwoosh No, not really. A cool looking Catwoman with a whip, cat & some recent stolen booty accessories + multiple face expressions along the same lines as the terrific AY Batman would have been a much better seller than this issue IMO, which I presume is still readily available to purchase & a likely discount/sale item in the future. But I'm not a huge fan of this character so I may be biased. I'd also never replace the stock cape on the AY Batman as that's what makes it a unique fantastic Batman (IMO anyway).
@@vnishpt7036 yeah it's the bias, this sold well enough to get TWO variants, only other Yamaguchi to get a variant was deadpool so pretty safe to say this was a profitable venture for them.
@@toedpens4954 Or the original didn't sell as planned so Kaiyodo elected to modify production (via the variant paint jobs) to try to move product to meet their initial sales targets. The original was heavily discounted on the Japanese sites not too long after issuance (& same for the variants) - which doesn't align with your assumption re: sales
