- I have a love/hate relationship with Kaiyodo's Amazing Yamaguchi line. They are so awesome when you get them into poses, but man can it be frustrating to move around. And seriously, several times while taking pictures of Psylocke I actually muttered "never again." But I came back around. Learning curve, and I 'm an old dog.

Awesome review as always. She looks good but I am still on the fence about her. I am still not really sold on Revotech marvel stuff, excited for Gambit though. Congrats on 50g's man, you deserve more!

I just got the Spider-Man Amazing Yamaguchi and he's my favorite Spidey figure of all time... well, after the Secret Wars Spidey of course. I'm old school bc I'm old.

I like it, but that face is eh. If Legends had the added sculpt detail of this, it would be perfect. This is cool too, but I'm 50/50 with this line.

My favorite part of a Yamaguchi release is finding out which non sequitur quotes were selected for the box art.
I like that with each new figure as you say they try to change something, I would like to see what they do in like a year for a spider-man/deadpool 2.0
I totally agree. I feel like the Spider-Man is becoming more and more inferior, and I would love to have an update with their current skill.

Man, when will someone make a Psylocke figure based off of the CAPCOM fighting game version?!?!
As i said on another review of this fig - no rachet revo joints will make it much easier for scammers to sell bootlegs at full price of legit figure (it will be a lot harder to spot on pictures if the figure is a bootleg). For people who want to make sure they are getting legit figure i would avoid ebay with this one.

Great review as usual. I have a hard time picking up amazing yamaguchi stuff. My cap has a frozen shoulder joint and it always feels like I need a plan before playing with him.
Weird, my Cap had a frozen shin that I broke, haven't had that kind of thing happen to any of the others. Wait, Carnage has a frozen hip.
Great review Robo, I echo your sentiment about how hate and then love revoltech. The revoltech joint in my wallet is worn out of spending to much cash on over priced Mezco exclusives, however, this Psylocke figure rings my bell.
My dad's legs were different lengths until he got his hip replaced. Between Storm's hair and her cape(s?), I'm not sure how well she'd turn out, but I'd still like to see them try.
I'm glad I waited for the reviews to come out first.
I really liked this figure when they showed pictures of the prototype but seeing the actual finished product is just ...okay-ish.

I know the comics are trying to switch Psylocke back to white, but I thought this fig would've looked more Asian. I've always liked Psylocke when she had a more "sun-kissed" skin tone & Asian features. While her swords look cool, her psi-katanas are supposed to be composed entirely of solidified pink psi-energy (not regular swords with glowing blades). I like the Mace Windu reference, but Holdo would've been a better fit, since she too has purple hair (bad character though).

Btw - many joints on her work like spider gwen ones. Shoulders are the same engeenering (joint + ball). Except the fact gwen had rachet revo joints (awesome fig byw, if you dont have it i can highly reccomend it)

Nice looking figure, but Psylocke has never been one of my favorites, and I can only afford a few figures. Already placed an order for their new Gambit figure though.
I can totally understand that. I'm more of an armored British Betsy kind of guy but this fit with the Wolverine and Gambit, had to give it a shot.

This figure has issues, but she's quite nice, I think there's a lot more good than bad going on here.
I'd have liked faceplates with more expressive mouths for Betsy. I know the British have that whole "stiff upper lip" thing, but having the differences being so minor is... meh.
The only other Amazing Yamaguchi I have is Spider-Gwen, and my major complaint was regarding the unmasked face: too small for the scale, and her hair is too static. Here, we have dynamic hair at last, and it makes Psylocke look _amazing_ .

Robo, I know you are loaded with figures at this point to review, but it would make my winter season if you ever get around to reviewing the NECA fugitive predator. Mainly because it's very different compared the standard colors, plus you only a single Kenner wave long ago.
I actually don't buy the NECA Predator stuff. I got a few early ones but the line just grew beyond my interest. Too many Star Wars and Marvel figures out there, haha.
@@TheFwoosh Fair enough, plus you wouldn't really have much a place to put it. On top of being 7 inch scale, it is actually 8-9 inches tall. Great to look at, but takes up space.

No, since the articulation attaches directly to the hair, it seems like it won't flip over.

Hmmmmmm...interesting, indeed. I'm generally NOT a fan of anything Revoltech, but I absolutely LOVE me some Psylocke (favorite Marvel heroine).
This figure, however...is a stark reminder why I don't like Revoltech. Fugly joints, and something about her proportions seems WAY off to me, too.
I wonder if Bandai Japan & Tamashii Nations took a stab at her in the S.H.Figuarts line...

That facescuplt is just wrong.
Awesome figure, love mine, but agree the face is flat. And word of warning for anyone tho, my sash broke (probably because I was an idiot and didn't notice the ball peg piece that you put around the sword) and broke off the part that's attached to the figure itself. On that note any one have any recommendations on adhesives? lol Never fixed a figure before.
Some plain old super glue gel should do you up. I recommend gel because it's a little easier to work with.

I swear something about the yamaguchi packaging just reminds me of chinese bootleg figures for some reason.

I mean, you kinda know what you're getting with Revoltech. On a character like Psylocke or Gambit I'd much rather have the butterfly joint for action poses than prettier shoulders.

The packaging is as ADHD as the figure, lol. I am in-between on Amazing Yamaguchi figures. I think some look great (posed correctly) and some just look oddly disjointed regardless of the pose. Overall, I respect what they are going for, though. This one...the faces are cute...maybe too cute...need to be a little more scary and mysterious or something. I got their Wonder Woman recently...finally...and she'll be the only Wonder Woman figure I ever get. She looks classic and modern all at the same time.

Yeah, I absolutely hate that hair and the face. Just not doin' it for me.
I don't know why nobody reviewing this figure is pointing it out but there's a secondary face that looks far better and more Asian than the standard Anime girl mug that comes on her.
That fucking hair though....
I did point it out but I don't like it as much as the face that's on it in the package. The smile isn't very prominent and she just looks kind of bored. The wider eyed angry one is more exciting.
