THANKS for the video. We live in SW Fl (Ground Zero) where Hurricane Ian hit us. Were having to live in a Travel Trailer parked next to our home and my brother in law told me about this macerator pump as an alternative to a portable tank. Thanks
so you left out that it actually moved 200ft, would have like to see the fresh water going down the clean out. Also, would have liked to see the fresh water shot out the pump just to prove that it works. Thanks for the video #kapken
Check the specs on your pump and I'd bet it can't push 100+100. I believe the max my flowjet will do is 75ft on a 3/4 inch hose. Small hose or longer run will result in pump overheat and turn off.
@@WhyNotRV that's the reason your pump shut off I'd bet because it was pushing the fluid to far and through to small of a hose. Double check the pump manual. There's a flex version of a 3/4 hose (like the smaller water hoses) that the same manufacturer makes. That's what I am using for discharge.
I guarantee thats the reason. I made this video for demonstration purposes only. We are regularly dumping our tank via our portable tank. Which is a video from 2 weeks ago if you want to check that one out.
@@WhyNotRV I almost paid 7000 dollars for a plumber to connect RV with cleaning out by building a sewer line ? I have a clean out at my backyard. Your idea is so much better in all ways. And I am wondering if it is helpful to use a hose with more width than gardening hose ?
You do exactly like this video but put the hose into a toilet. Toilets work on gravity so as it fills up it’ll keep automatically “flushing” and drain.
In that rig I had it wired to the lugs of my inverter because it was the easiest place to access heavy gauge DC cable’s. In my new RV (I haven’t done a video on it yet) I have it literally plug and play with the plug that came with the rig that’s meant for zamp solar.
Absolutely. But when the clean out is 150ft away… this method is just one option. I mainly use my “wagon” when in this situation but the pump is another option
Thank you for just a simple practical video…
Glad it was helpful!

I will do another video on this here in a few months. Been using this type of setup for 2 years now. Thank you for the input, I appreciate it.
Good info
Thank you!

Hey Cory, thanks for watching. You are probably right on that but it was going almost completely flat so I wasn’t worried about it in this situation

Do I need to wait 24 hours after going #2 for the unique digest enzymes to break things down before draining with macerator ?
No the macerate pump is like a ninja for the black tank. It’ll chop all that shtuff up
What about using the maceratarer up hill?
It doesn’t have great head pressure especially over a long distance. Short distance it does pretty good. But not sure exact specs
So does this just break it down to fit through a normal hose??
Basically yes. As well as physically pumps it through that hose
This is so great !
Thanks for watching!

The macerator pump is designed for standard garden hose. I would say no need to do anything different
@@WhyNotRV That's good to know. Thanks
Anytime!
How do you empty the hose into the toilet instead of the thing on the ground?
You do exactly like this video but put the hose into a toilet. Toilets work on gravity so as it fills up it’ll keep automatically “flushing” and drain.
@@WhyNotRV make sure to stick the hose as deep into the toilet as you can, helps keep the smell down
Great addition here. Yes. Absolutely!!!
how did you power the macerator?

I want to find a clean out cap with a female hose attachment.
Do you mean for a garden hose size?
@@WhyNotRV yep, looking on Amazon for a female bulkhead hose thread connector right now. I can drill a hole in the clean out cap.

Yes. So did you find a fitting?
What Brand of RV Macerator pump did you demonstrate?
Hey, thanks for watching. The link is in the description. It’s from FloJet
It's easier to just dump in a clean out.
Absolutely. But when the clean out is 150ft away… this method is just one option. I mainly use my “wagon” when in this situation but the pump is another option
What’s the best option of dumping black and grey tanks on your property?
That is not true, what if you don't have a clean out/dump station. Plus, have you ever had to pull a 200lb dump tank. LOL #kapken
Not everyone has one. I live on a street without sewer drains and the housing tracks in Upstate NY do not all have outside dump access.
Maybe that was a just a demonstration? But get some gloves on! Black tank chemicals can make you absolutely sick!
Gloves definitely recommended. I prefer hand sanitizer constantly and washing hands immediately.
Shitter's Full
It was lol. I wanted that as the thumbnail art lol. Favorite movie of all time!!!
Actually it's empty.
