- Rematch Drag Race! AMG GT63 S vs. Tuned Jaguar F-Type R. In this video I race my F-Type R against an AMG GT63 S, we are doing this rematch because I have tuned my car with a VelocityAP tune and pulley.

Great Vid! Didn’t realize how much power that Benz was putting to the Ground! Even though it’s heavy it’s a torque monster. There aren’t any issues with the speed you were going in Mexico!

Really enjoyed this! Awesome to see the leg stretching your R is able to do with the tune and pulley. Mine was stock, and I was able to beat basically every single car off the line (AWD is magic like that), but on the pulls I've had issue with...a BMW 760Li. That's right a 5000lbs luxo-barge! That twin-turbo V12 turned out to be very strong at the top end. He was pulling away from me - not walking me, but you could tell, he was faster.
I’m curious to know how an AWD tuned f type would do, I’ve heard that AWD system is fantastic at getting the power down.
If I ever come across a 760li, I’ll try to see how my f type compares!
@@skrrtgarage3922 I'd imagine off the line the difference would be very pronounced between tuned AWD vs RWD, just like stock. And just like stock you'd win the pulls...

Fastest 0-60 (1-ft) - 2.51 secs
It’s a beast off the line and on the highway! Looks are subjective but I think it looks pretty mean

I normally find the drag race videos a bit boring, but watched this beginning to end. That C63 is impressive and it's a 4.0L vs the 5 L ! They are two very different cars though one being a sedan and the other a sportscar. I'm sure that the Jaguar's extra cubic capacity and suspension "should" in theory outperform the C63 on a track as opposed to a drag race - and I'm not recommending you do this. Thanks for the showdown !

Those gt63’s rip off the line. I did do one standing start but the audio wasn’t working, he is still faster until about 70-80mph. The AWD of that car is wild

Yeah slap a Capristo or Armytrix on the Gt 63 it sounds brutal too is just the oem restriction on the exhaust makes it sound nerfed

Once I get my F type.Im gonna do a nitrous spray nozzle to lower temps.Small,tiny shot at that. Also gonna look into a water,air intercooler setup with a spray bar.Eventually move onto researching turbo setup for it as well.Thinking way ahead but that's what I do with every car I own..lol..Not a single stock car! Even my Brabus Smart car is turbo and boosted to the moon with an air to water setup and all..lol

You can’t miss a shift in an automatic. Using paddles will be slower, not quicker too.
You’d have to own one of these to know. I doubt you do.

The RWD and AWD F-type would loose all together. A tuned RWD would loose until about 80mph. I’m not sure about an awd one... that would be close!!

Quick question, have you contacted jokers performance to have your supercharger ported? Have you looked into upgrading the throttle body and injectors. No reason these cars can’t be modified like the hellcats etc
I’m sure they could be handled like them, but I worry about the block not supporting more than 750-800hp
Hey Bro, I legit thought of a cool video you could do that I am generally interested in. Would you be able to show a how to launch f-type video? I know it saids it in the manual but I have seen so many people fail to setup the launch
Yea I that’s a good idea, my 2015 f type doesn’t have any sort of launch control so there is only a couple ways to launch my car but I could try!
Yeah, what happens when you just floor it at the launch from a stand still with TC off. Does it spin up the tires or does it go somewhat smooth by it self?
It roasts the tires like there is no tomorrow! You really have to modulate the throttle if tc is off on a hard start.
I have a 15R myself. Who did your tune if you don’t mind me asking?

I know you don't have the car anymore but hoping these comment notifications still reach you. Curious why you didn't do the upper pulley as well, as it's only an additional 200 bucks or so. I'm thinking about doing the stage 2 upgrade with 200 cell cats but have heard mixed opinions about the upper pulley
I would do it man, initially I didn't want to because I read that it could cause belt slip if you upgrade both. But I wish I would have back then because the belt Velocityap supplies is a little too tight for just the lower pulley. upgrading both would allow the belt to fit much better. The 200cell cats will be a must down the road because all the back pressure from the pulleys will really burn your OEM cats.
@@skrrtgarage3922 I was worried about belt slip as well but I've heard vap has great customer service so I think its worth giving it a shot. I agree, I'd definitely need the downpipe to preserve my stock cats. I'm in California so if I get stage ref'd or can't pass smog thru someone, I'm going to have to revert to stock briefly to pass. Headers do not fit. These are already great flowing manifolds. Ported supercharger will help.

@@skrrtgarage3922 You shed about 10-12 lbs from the down pipes and reduce heat soak in that area.

AMG got the jump but you had to reel him back in just flex on em. Bet that amg wont be stock for very long.

AMG 63 won. Telling yourself stories to smile - the Merc won fair and square. I just ordered the 2022 Jag F-Type R as a daily. That’s all it is, an exciting daily. People keep on sugarcoating this

About 650
Turbos sound so crappy. Plus they cost $50 MSRP and drive even worse. If you can deal with the mail truck sound, horrible throttle response, and paying $100K too much, then ok. But its so ugly, too. I would consider one, at half the price.

Hey dude, great videos. I have a 2019 ftype svr and thinking of doing the VAP tune with pulley upgrade. How does it feel? Is the power delivery smooth? Does it feel like too much power? Has the sound characteristics changed? Any other thoughts would you do it again?
What’s up man, the power difference is insane, you will 100% notice a difference. I would do it again, but this time I would get the upper and lower pulley. Not for the power... but because the supplied supercharger belts a made to fit cars with both.
