The front 2 bolts on head that you removed 1st do you reinstall them last on head bolts and are they torqued to same as other 12 head bolts? Where are you located?
Hi everyone! Hi Ruva A.A! I have question: how can I change piston on my 2005 dodge sprinter? I lost pressure in cylinder. It's possible to pull out piston from the bottom or I have to take out head? Thx
Hi bery good video I have a 2003 dodges printer I was driving and then just stop working I check the pressure diesel is God but no crank do you think my engine is but
hello ruva, i im installing a new head on my 2005 sprinter 2.7 647 engine with new lifters i noticed that some of the lifters are easy to squeeze and some are hard to squeeze, do i install them the way they are.what do you think.
Yes I would install them the way they are, I noticed on my Sprinter, what I did in the past was squeezing them and rotating them clockwise and counterclockwise while I was squeezing on them, sometimes a little bit of black, thick , old oil would come out of them, but it's not necessarily, as long as you change oil every 9,000 k should be fine
@@RuvimAbaras ruva, the problem that occurred with my head it had 2 intake valves bent , what could of caused it. i checked the lifters and 2 of them did not squeezed. which tells me that stock the valve a bit down then when the piston went up it hit the valve and bent it. or what else can of caused it to bent.
@@RuvimAbaras NO!!! the only reason i can come up with is. my valve got bent was probably one of the lifters got stuck and did not squeezed,in when i first installed the head, before i installed the lifters girdle i checked the lifters and all of them squeezed in easily. i got the engine running started out good then in started to misfire, that's when i checked the cylinder pressure on each one they read 295 but #4 no pressure.which was the cylinder with the bent valves. im going to install the head with the fixed valve's. then turn the engine. hope this time it WORKS. ill let you know, i have 3 sprinters, the other 2 i overhauled 2 years ago no problem both running GREAT. thanks. im from south Texas, Laredo.
If I have diesel fuel in my coolant does that mean I have to do a cylinder head replacement? These Sprinters ( mine is a 2006) don't have injector cups based on the video I see the injector hole is all in the cylinder head. Any recommendations based on your expertise? I don't know what happened I don't have leaking injectors all area is clean no coolant in injector holes. Thank you and awesome video just like that!
Ruva A.A I know so strange. I flushed it all out and ran water into it for over 15 minutes, added the appropriate coolant and it’s been a lot cleaner since. I’ve ran it over 600 miles City only and so far okay minor traces of diesel in it though now it starts to look like oil. Any idea if it’s oil in coolant? Thank you for your replies. :)
Hi thanks for your video What spanner did you use to remove the injector where can i get one if you don't mind can you send me a picture please many thanks

I have an 06 2500 Sprinter and just replaced the #2 cylinder fuel injector copper seat washer due to leaking compression. I started the motor and all was even idling and let the motor warm up. Came out to drive the van (motor idling) and there is fuel leaking from a rubber hose (10MM diameter) on the drivers side of the motor and the hose is under the intake manifold. I cannot see where the leak is. What do you think is the problem of leaking fuel? I took off the black plastic cover on top of the motor and it is dry under there where I replaced the injector with no fuel leaking. thanks for your comment
minimum $2000 to do the headgasket parts and labor, re-using your old cylinder head. parts cost for new cyl head is 1500-2000, estimate at least $4k USD for this service
@@RuvimAbaras I have extreme blowby on the oil cap after replacing copper injector washer. The oil is gushing out while idling. Do you think the piston rings are shot, or a crack in the cilinderhead?
Iam in France i hear loud noise. In the engine. And car engine is of it selv. I wait 9 mint and star good but go in back Denmark noise komming back and shouting of engine. Please did i need ny engine or i kan do it.
Cylinder head from a Mercedes Vito 113 cdi 2.1 Broken cylinder 2/4 in Paris highway A1 .and they tall me you have to change the complet engine and live my car in France.... Please what cant i do? Iam in Denmark now
A Cylinder head replacement in just 6 minutes! " As simple as that!" :)
I am changing the headgasket because i have bubbles in the coolant expansiontank. Is it more likely due to a crack? It a vito 111cdi from 2007.
GREAT fast overview of head R&R, thanks!!

You'll have to take the head out,
In order to remove a piston it is way easy to yank the engine out get the head out and fix it on the stand,

@1:59 you remove those two bolts first, or after the head bolts? Any torq spec and order for cam caps?
Yes I would remove them first, as far as Cam caps I just carefully hand tighten them several times

Diesel in the coolant? Strange ... I know if there is a diesel fuel in the oil that could be your high-pressure fuel pump

Same problem here. What causes it and what's the solution?
How much does a job like that normally cost
minimum $2000 to do the headgasket parts and labor, re-using your old cylinder head. parts cost for new cyl head is 1500-2000, estimate at least $4k USD for this service
Why did you change the head, did you have a crack?
Otto Doktor The coolant was leaking from injector nest
@@RuvimAbaras I have extreme blowby on the oil cap after replacing copper injector washer. The oil is gushing out while idling. Do you think the piston rings are shot, or a crack in the cilinderhead?
Otto Doktor Sounds like excessive compression in block, I would start with cylinder compression check
Thanks for your video, you make that seem easy.
