Lol I read the title too fast and thought it said Chanel trays and i thought man that’s fancy! Doing some winter sowing today with my little man and we are also doing some lupine and hollyhock and possibly some veggies. I already have lettuce and tiny tom tomatoes growing inside.

My winter sowing is going well so far, but we had a drop of 56 degrees in 24 hours from a high of 87. It's hard for plants and people to adjust. I have bachelor buttons and lettuce already in the ground. Maybe they survive here in Austin, TX. If not, I ordered a lot of seeds and can try again. I'm just a home gardener, but I've learned a whole new respect for farmers who depend on successful crops. Farming is hard work!

I'm excited to grow stock for the first time. I'm just growing them all, not worrying about doubles this year.

Nicole love you, your family and your channel. Amazing TH-cam channel. I have grown many plants from seed but to sell as plants in Montreal as a grower to garden centres (not far from you) and I cannot believe the amount of work you do! From transplanting all those seedlings, to planting bulbs to plants - you are amazing!

This is my first year growing flowers. We are mainly veggies. I just discovered your videos probably two weeks ago and I literally can’t stop watching. Yey for lupins 💝 I collected seeds from a plant I got from a garden centre and it was a total surprise to see what color will the babies be. I got 3 that flowered and one was gorgeous sunset colour, one was lavender colour and one was pink :) I was so happy with them that I will do more this year. Growing delphiniums from seed for the first time this year. Will see what happens :)

So excited to have reserved my tulips in time!! Already looking forward to them for next year. Right now I’m enjoying my first ever tulips here in zone 8A southeast Alabama. I planted 200 and they’re almost all blooming!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’d really like to just sit and watch them! but cannot so think I should bring some in to enjoy. So. They cannot overwinter here so I pull them up? Then cut off the bulb??? What??

I toured a nursery near me once and something they had mentioned was, once their seeds germinate they will cut them in half. The part with the root will send up another shoot and the severed shoot if replanted will grow new roots, (rooting hormone is optional). I have never tired this myself, nor have I witnessed it being done, but seeing you cutting all the seedlings like that reminded me that this places does that. Maybe you could try it out as an experiment.

Question. Possibly a dumb question but I can never find the answer. When you soil your trays do you really pack in the soil or is it more loosely packed? I see some people say really pack it and others say just pack it… 🤦🏻‍♀️ Help please. I’m super new to growing anything lol. 😅

Hello from Canada Nicole Love watching your channel !! Always learning something new. I have a question for you. In one of your bouquet bar videos last fall you had Euphorbia "Snow on the Mountain". I absolutely love this for filler in All wht bouquets. I was hoping to seed an area in my back forest this year ...zone 5 but having trouble finding it from a seed supplier , any suggestions ? Do you grow this on the farm? Would love any growing advice you may have. Thanks so much for all the great videos!!

I bought mine from Johnny's. Just so you know there is a sap that comes out of the end when it's cut that some people are allergic too so I always warn my customers. It's currently in stock www.johnnyseeds.com/flowers/euphorbia-snow-on-the-mountain/mountain-snow-euphorbia-seed-1274.html

@@FlowerHillFarm Thanks !! They do sell it ...and in bulk. I only checked Can suppliers as so many U.S. companies wont ship to Can. Johnnys does. Very happy !!
Yes I know the plant is poisonous so can't seed anywhere in the yard where my horses might take a bite out of one...hence why Im sowing in my back woods area only. My horses love flowers !! Thanks !

If you can, please tell me if the cells you're planting the stock seedlings in are full of potting soil or seed starting mix again. I'd appreciate the answer. I'll be doing the same soon & can't decide since mine are very small.

I only use Vermont Compost in my pots. I don't use anything that's specific for seed starting. Those tend to have zero nutrients for the plants.
