Great videos Thank you Loyd. You mentioned muscle mass / strength training. I’m would be interesting to know a bit about this and how it fits into your training plan. Many thanks
I love watching the prep for these races, so motivating in the darker months. Got my first ultra of the year on the 13th of January. Sadly the 100 miler I was aiming for in January 2025 has been cancelled so I need a new plan. Not really alternative events at that time of year !
Happy New Year Loyd and Liga. Another great video building up to the Arc. I saw someone running on Dartmoor in appalling conditions with a full Salomon vest, poles stashed and my first thought was “Arc training”😂 It’s that time of year that thoughts all turn to Cornwall and that brutal route and I doff my cap to anyone who signs up and toes the line for the 100 or the 50. 😮
Thank you, another great boost as I build for the start line. This series has helped me feel more positive about my own training and has aided in reminding me of what is coming in January. Good health with the remainder of your training Loyd.
Great content Loyd, seeing you prep for the Arc. Really does hype me up during this period where I tend to take it easy. And I need that for my 1st 100 mi (Quebec Mega Trail) in July. Thanks again for the motivation.
Hey Loyd, another wonderful video, thanks. I have a quick question if I may - the green top you’re pictured running in the video, is it a Soar top ( windbreaker? ) if so, how has it faired when worn with a pack? I noticed the trail top you reviewed a while back had issues when worn with a pack so was keen to see how other garments have performed! Cheers, Louis. P.s hoping to do the Arc in 2025!
Had a walk out on the dunes this week sure got to keep an eye open for them rabbit holes , started picking up a few bits for the campervan , pop noodles, hand warmers
I’ve actually mentioned the shoes I’ll be using in several videos lately Todd? I’ve been using the Merrell Agility Peak 5 for all my long runs and it’s performed really well on the coast path so I’ll be using them in the race 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏
Great film as usual , I would be interested in your strength and conditioning to outline also starting to train for my second 100 miler ( Lakeland 100 ) so be nice to get ya thoughts , all the best for the new year and of course for the arc ( on my bucket list ) 😅🙏💯🏆😋
My strength and conditioning is all pretty simple exercises I do at home but it seems to be helping. Good luck with your training for Lakeland and thanks for watching Mark 🙏

The tip of try eating solids at meal times is very cool, thanks

@@Run4Adventure Yes mate, all good my end. Not long to go.
curious what will be your shoe choice. Do you wait till race day gets closer or does your training center around what is you #1 choice

Great video as always, what was the gilet you were wearing on the Hell's Mouth run?
The gilet was from a brand called Doxa Run Mark. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏😁
Great video, thanks for sharing your training and positivity 😊 I have been out on the route today and struggled to stay upright in the wind! 😳💨
