Ah got some dust in my eyes 😭 at the end when folks were crossing the finish line. Well done to every runner no matter the distance you covered. Amazing. 💪 🏴☠️
That's great to hear 😊 I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. I think it definitely shows the highs and lows of ultra running and what it takes to push through and get to the finish line 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏

Fantastic film. I wasn't fit enough and was unfortunately timed out at Penzance. After saying quite clearly to my crew "never again", I will be back to put thing right. There is something very special about this race!
Thanks for watching 👍🏻 You’re right it is a very special race that’s for sure 😀 I’m sure you’ll be back to finish it off next year and you might see me in the start line to 👍🏻😀
Watching this bought back great memories as my friend completed it two years ago, and I was part of his support crew. I also know what a beautiful but brutal race this is. Great video
Thanks Graham I’m really glad it brought back some good memories! 😀 It really is a brutal race but it’s a special event for sure 👍🏻 Thanks for watching the channel 🎥😀
Great production! Well done for your film and a big shout out to The Pirate for his well deserved and awesome result! Well done for supporting him. This video has been some time coming but well worth the wait! 👍👍👍
Cheers Paul Yeah sorry about the wait bit it had to be right! We put in about 40 hours of editing so I feel like I’ve run the AoA after making this video 😂 Thanks for watching 👍🏻
I watch a lot of running content on youtube but your films are by far the best i've seen lloyd. The production & editing on your films are excellent, brilliant film. Thanks & keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for your kind words Will it means a lot 👍🏻 We put a lot of time and effort into our videos so when we get feedback like yours it makes it all worth will 😀 Really glad you’re enjoying the channel and thanks for watching 😀
Brilliant vid , as always , Loyd . I have been a keen supporter of the Arc since its beginning in 2015 , and was an Arc Angel at St.Ives CP this year, whilst also crewing for Gary Richards who finished the 100 miles. Following the race from the start , I thought your film captured the essence of the race very well , and it was very interesting hearing Steve's comments and thoughts. Was great seeing you at 4am by St.Ives lifeboat station on the Saturday morning , and I'm glad that the tea with 2 sugars I made for Steve in The Guildhall went down OK. Thanks very much for compiling such a high quality production which I enjoyed very much Loyd ; and huge congratulations to Steve on an epic achievement.
What a film! Thank you for making that, Steve you are incredible. What an inspiring performance, to keep going after you were over taken and to take the lead back through sheer grit. Awesome. And a hug from Jane as you cross the line, what a lovely ending :-)
Thanks mate really glad you liked it 😀 We put a lot of hours into this one! It was probably one of the best races I’ve ever witnessed. Steves focus and determination where amazing and they had to be because Ashley didn’t stop pushing the whole way! 🏃💪🏻
Superb video loyd and brilliantly put together. This is your best one to date.A great insight into a brutally tough event.keep up the great work and I look forward to the next one👏👍
Thanks Mike It’s definitely an epic race! In the 6 year history of the race we’ve never had snow but that’s about the only thing it hasn’t had! 😀 One year the race was run in the middle of a hurricane, 70-80 mph winds and it rained the whole way round 😀 Thanks for watching the channel and don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date with future content 👍🏻😀
SUPERB production, content and editing Loyd ..I did plan to park up in my little camper and aid any runners in any way I could .. but wife had other plans and we had a week away in Tenerife .
Thanks for your kind words Alan and I’m really glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻 Tenerife sounds pretty good but you should definitely do that in your van one year!
Thanks very March and thanks for watching 👍🏻 Really glad you enjoyed it 😀 It sure is an amazing race, the support out on the route is pretty epic! The running community in Cornwall is very special 😀
Wow thanks very much that means a lot!! 😮 Really glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻 Don’t forget to subscribe to our channel to keep up to date with new content 🎥👍🏻 Once again thanks for watching!
Run 4 Adventure oh don’t worry, I subscribed after watching it this evening, planning my 1st ultra this year and your video was the motivation I needed to get my current injury problem (groin strain) sorted ASAP!!! 👍🏻
Soupy Runs So glad you found it inspiring! That’s the main reason we started the channel to try and encourage and inspire people to run 👍🏻 Sorry to hear you’re having injury issues at the moment, I’m in a similar position with a calf issue! But I’m dealing with it and should be back running next week hopefully 🤞 Awesome that you’re tackling your fist ultra this year! What race are you doing? Anyway best of luck with the groin issue, hope you get it sorted soon and are back training to smash that ultra 🏃💪🏻
Run 4 Adventure being injured is a complete downer, took me a good 2 or 3 weeks to convince myself it wasn’t the end of the world and I’d be running again at some stage and the best way to get over it was plenty of rest and plenty of cross training to make me stronger when I get back so it hopefully doesn’t happen again. If fit in time I’m planning on doing the Causeway Coast Ultra, it’s “only” 40 miles going from Portstewart around the north Antrim coast here in Northern Ireland, beautiful part of the world so hopefully the view will help with the mileage 😂
Unfortunately injury’s are part of running but the strength and conditioning is super important and becomes even more important when you start running further! I must get over to Ireland it looks stunning so I’m sure you’ll have some beautiful scenery to look at while running! 👍🏻 All the best 😀
Thanks Marc, glad you enjoyed the video. It's an incredible race that's for sure, definitely one for the bucket list! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
49,000 views and I think most of them are me!! Thoughts now turning towards Arc 2022 and I suspect I'll be wathcing this again a few more times in the next few months. Top work Loyd, love this film :-)
Awesome Nick, thanks for watching all those times! 😊 Hope training is going well and you are looking forward to the event. I'm just hoping I can sort the calf issues out by then!? Thanks for supporting the channel 🙏😊
Walked the South West Coastal Path from Lands End to Looe in Cornwall.. Self supported doing it in 5 days.. Absolutely fantastic part of the country and a superb path!!
It sure is a fantastic stretch of coast path! I'm very lucky to have it as my play ground 😊 Well done on your walk and that's for watching the channel 🙏
Thank you for creating this movie. Unexpected but one of the best race movies out there. I didn't even know about this race and now I wanna hop on a plane (apparently will have to get a UK visa to get from EU next year) and run it next year!
No problem and thanks for watching! 👍🏻 Really glad you enjoyed the film and I’m glad you discovered our channel 🌵 It’s an amazing race and it would definitely be worth a flight over. Just so you know it normally sells out in a couple of hours! 😀
I've been long time watcher, first-time commentator ;) Thanks for the heads up for registrations, but with organizers wanting to be a WSER qualifier I think it will be even faster :D
Thanks Mick, really glad you enjoyed the Pirate 😊 The AoA is an amazing race down here in Cornwall. I'm very lucky to have it on my door step and I'll hopefully be on the start line next year. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 😊🙏

I'm from Canada and have lots of family in Cornwall and have been wandering what if any Ultras might be in the area............this has me very interested. What an epic set of trails, great video thanks for creating and sharing it.
Hi there Thanks for watching our short film and I’m really glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻 There’s a massive ultra scene in Cornwall with some great runners and amazing races! It would definitely be worth a trip over to have a run on our stunning coast path 😀 I’m sure you’ve got some awesome places to run in Canada! 😀

Thanks David that's really kind, I'm so glad you're enjoying the channel! Thanks for watching mate and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏😊
Thanks Adam, really glad you enjoyed it 👍 It's an awesome race that's for sure, if you don't leave Lands End you don't get to the finish 😉 See you on the start line next year and thanks for watching the channel it's really appreciated 🙏
Fantastic movie again Loyd. Steve was awesome. One thing i have been looking at a lot is nutrition during 100 milers amongst the elites. I was trying to study what Steve was having. Looked like he had 1 bottle of coke and 1 bottle of maybe plain water or Tailwind/Maurtens? whilst he was running. I'll have to ask him at next years Arc :D
Hi Andy Thanks, I glad you enjoyed it 👍 He was having one bottle with 3/4 coke/water and one bottle with water 😊 He also had soup at the 4 main check points but not a lot else really. He does suffer with his stomach quite a lot in long races! Hopefully see you on the start line next year 😉
Ah brilliant Loyd. Yes i know all about stomach problems but luckily for me i'm only ill once during a race and i recover quite fast. I do love coke but only a small amount of it. Soup is a great idea. I may give that a try on my next race. Thanks for the info.
Thanks Richard 👍 Really glad you enjoyed, we put a lot if time and effort into this one! I think it was around 40hrs of editing 😲 Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙏
Awesome Sanf really glad you found it inspiring and thanks for watching 🙏 You have to carry two head torches it mandatory kit for the race. The race is in winter so you are running with your head torch on for 13 hours! When your first torch runs out you just grab your spare out your running pack 😊 Thanks for watching the channel and don't forget to subscribe to our channel to keep up to date with future content 🙏
It sure was an amazing performance!! Thanks for watching the channel 👍🏻 Don’t forget to subscribe to our channel to keep up to date with new content 🎥😀
Hi Richard Thanks glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching 😀 The camera I filmed most of the film on was the DJi Osmo pocket. It was attached to my iPhone as a monitor and had an external video pro mic 😀 The little Osmo camera will shot 4K video and it’s got its own gimbal. It’s an impressive little camera ! 🎥
Great video Loyd, always enjoy your films. So pleased to have finished this race myself this year. So want to go back and improve but I’ll be crew monkey instead. Can’t decide if this is my favourite 100 or does Thames Path pip it 😉🤣
Hi Zoe Really glad you enjoyed the short film and thanks for watching the channel 👍 Here's a link to the results, I hope this helps 😊 results.opentracking.co.uk/event/arcattrition20
Run 4 Adventure Thank you! I always like to see how the women do - not that I have any chance of ever competing with them but I can fantasise! (The men’s times are just silly, just like they are at parkrun🤣)
Hi The No he's wearing the Evo Jawz 👍 I personally wouldn't recommend it for long distances, it's very stripped back when it comes to protection and cushioning! Steve can get away with it but I've got a pair and 20 miles is my limit in the Evo Jawz 😊 It's a great shoe for shorter winter runs though. Hope this helps and thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙏
Hi Marcelo Thanks I’m really glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching the channel 🎥👍🏻 Don’t forget to subscribe to our channel to keep up to date with new content, happy running 🏃😀
Yeah sorry it’s been a while 😀 We put about 40-50 hours of editing into The Pirate 😮 But we’re back on track and the videos will be more regular, as always thanks for watching and thank’s for the support 😀
Well I'm a local runner and I can assure you I've never taken a short cut on the AoA! 😠 Obviously I can't speak for everyone but I don't know of anyone doing that 🤔
Hi Neil I’m sure Steve would love to run western states! In fact we’d all love to run western 😀 Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to get in the race! I’ve got friends that have been putting in the ballot for 7-8 years and still not got a place!! Thanks for watching the channel and don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date with new content 👍🏻😀
I made the short film about Steve Wyatt (The Pirate) I can't be in two places at once! It was just me filming so obviously I couldn't film Steve's race and the women runners. Over the course of 100 miles the runners get really spread out and the race is on the coast path which is really hard to access 👍 If it was that simple we'd of got more footage of the other runners 😊 Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment 🙏
This is amazing, as a runner myself I couldn't be prouder you used my music as soundtrack in this video. I'm really grateful, please use more of my music in your future videos if you wish :)

Great video well done. Me at 30 mins finishing best feeling ever :)
Thanks mate 👍🏻
Well done on your finish and we’ll done on making the final cut 🎥😉
Fantastic movie again Loyd. Steve was awesome. One thing i have been looking at a lot is nutrition during 100 milers amongst the elites. I was trying to study what Steve was having. Looked like he had 1 bottle of coke and 1 bottle of maybe plain water or Tailwind/Maurtens? whilst he was running. I'll have to ask him at next years Arc :D
Hi Andy
Thanks, I glad you enjoyed it 👍
He was having one bottle with 3/4 coke/water and one bottle with water 😊 He also had soup at the 4 main check points but not a lot else really.
Just fantastic.... cracking video. Love your channel
Thanks James that means a lot 👍🏻
Really glad you’re enjoying the channel and thanks for your support 😀
Great film!
Thanks Richard 👍
Really glad you enjoyed, we put a lot if time and effort into this one! I think it was around 40hrs of
editing 😲
Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙏
Magical
Glad you enjoyed the video Pat and thanks so much for watching 🙏😊
31:27 Always nice when Borat completes a race...
😂😂😂
So so so so inspiring film , súper motivating ... thanks for sharing this ... one q’stion , how Many headtorchs he used/and why??
Awesome Sanf really glad you found it inspiring and thanks for watching 🙏 You have to carry two head torches it mandatory kit for the race. The race is in winter so you are running with your head torch on for 13 hours! When your first torch runs out you just grab your spare out your running pack 😊
Thanks for watching the channel and don't forget to subscribe to our channel to keep up to date with future content 🙏
Really enjoyed that 👍

Mate what a video!!! 👏👏👏
Cheers Pal, so glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻😀
Great video. Can i ask what camera you used? When i saw you it looked like an iphone with a microphone on top but not sure thats right? Richard
Hi Richard
Thanks glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching 😀
The camera I filmed most of the film on was the DJi Osmo pocket. It was attached to my iPhone as a monitor and had an external video pro mic 😀
The little Osmo camera will shot 4K video and it’s got its own gimbal.
It’s an impressive little camera ! 🎥
Great run, great Man!
Great video Loyd, always enjoy your films. So pleased to have finished this race myself this year. So want to go back and improve but I’ll be crew monkey instead. Can’t decide if this is my favourite 100 or does Thames Path pip it 😉🤣
Thanks Spencer and thanks for your support of the channel 👍🏻😀
A big WELL DONE on your finish this year 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome stuff guys!!
Cheers Harry, thanks for watching mate 👍🏻😀
Очень качественно!
Omg is he doing the entire 100 miles in the hoka evo jawz??? That’s insane 😳🤘🏽
Yeap he ran the whole 100 miles in one pair of Evo Jawz! 😲
#feetofsteel
@@Run4Adventure that’s crazy 😝
It’s almost a barefoot shoes
@@themaisi84
It was a brand new pair! 🤪
@@Run4Adventure well it has to be a brand new pair, because the jawz lasting not that long. Habe also a pair of them! Love them 🙌🏼
Very well produced. Subbed.
Thanks Eric and thanks for watching the channel 👍🏻
Really glad you enjoyed the short film 😀
Welcome to the channel 🎥
So funny to see the dog dip him at the finish line
I know Mark, the dog should get the buckle really! 😂
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the short film 👍
Great film, but can you tell us who the winning women were? You showed their presentation but not their names? (Or did I miss that?)
Hi Zoe
Really glad you enjoyed the short film and thanks for watching the channel 👍
Here's a link to the results, I hope this helps 😊
results.opentracking.co.uk/event/arcattrition20
Run 4 Adventure Thank you! I always like to see how the women do - not that I have any chance of ever competing with them but I can fantasise! (The men’s times are just silly, just like they are at parkrun🤣)
@@zoewilkins2896 No problem 👍
Never say never 😊
Great documentary 👍 I might try and get over from Spain to try it one year!!!
Thanks Paul 👍🏻
You must try and get over, it’s an incredible event you’d love it 🏃😀
Is that the Evo Mafate shoes the Pirate is wearing? Just interested what would be suitable shoes on that terrain for long distance.
Hi The
No he's wearing the Evo Jawz 👍
I personally wouldn't recommend it for long distances, it's very stripped back when it comes to protection and cushioning! Steve can get away with it but I've got a pair and 20 miles is my limit in the Evo Jawz 😊
It's a great shoe for shorter winter runs though. Hope this helps and thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙏
Wow amanzing vídeo...👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hi Marcelo

Hope you enjoyed the short film and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Sorry to sound silly but what does DNF stand for?? Im new to running aha
It's not a silly question Shaun, it stands for - did not finish 👍
Hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 🙏
I missed your videos, dude!
Yeah sorry it’s been a while 😀
We put about 40-50 hours of editing into The Pirate 😮
But we’re back on track and the videos will be more regular, as always thanks for watching and thank’s for the support 😀
Is this the race that locals take shortcuts rather than running the official route along the actual marked coast path?
Well I'm a local runner and I can assure you I've never taken a short cut on the AoA! 😠
Obviously I can't speak for everyone but I don't know of anyone doing that 🤔
What are you doing to me Loyd!!! ‘It’s been emotional’. Just got to get through the first 2 years worth of videos now.
Hope you enjoy them but maybe leave out the really early videos! 😂
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel its really appreciated 🙏
Would love to see Steve run Western States!
Hi Neil
I’m sure Steve would love to run western states! In fact we’d all love to run western 😀
Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to get in the race! I’ve got friends that have been putting in the ballot for 7-8 years and still not got a place!!
Thanks for watching the channel and don’t forget to subscribe to keep up to date with new content 👍🏻😀
凄いキツそうですね。
Could you follow the female runners next year as well?
I made the short film about Steve Wyatt (The Pirate) I can't be in two places at once! It was just me filming so obviously I couldn't film Steve's race and the women runners. Over the course of 100 miles the runners get really spread out and the race is on the coast path which is really hard to access 👍
If it was that simple we'd of got more footage of the other runners 😊 Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment 🙏
Run 4 Adventure no probs - I really enjoyed it. Make so more!
ungh... 10.4 Miles in 45 Minutes??? oh my g....
1hr 45mins! 😀
That would be even more impressive if it was 45mins!!!
Thanks for watching the video, really hope you enjoy it 🎥👍🏻
