After my two most recent videos I have seen a lot of China hate on social media. Why is this? If you hate, dislike or have any negative feelings towards China please tell me why in the comments. Happy to have an open and frank conversation. If you don't care or even like China feel free to comment as well 😄.

I live in Chengdu, too. Been here for several years now. I love it. But where I'm originally from the media was unanimously anti-China. No positive impressions were ever voiced about China. It was a real eye-opener to actually experience what real life was like here.
Same here! Although I would say the UK was not entirely anti-China but rather mixed in the views
There are two haters of China who are TH-camrs and their names are Laowhy and Serpentza.

It’s shameful,both have Chinese wives,how can these wives let their husbands trashing their country like that? They claim they are not racists but everything they say about China are not in a positive way,their anti videos of China make people hate Chinese people as well as their wives,how idiots.They claim they do not hate Chinese but they hate the CCP,but in the eyes of the world,people cannot differentiate who are CCP and who aren’t.

The dude behind him with the jeans and glasses follows him to 6:13. During that time, he never had his hands behind his back. Most of the time he had his phone out. The moment he quits following "Our" TH-camr, the phone goes into his pocket and his hands go behind his back. Most likely there was a hand off to another "Handler".
I just checked that, it does look that way but he walks away at a crossroads, think it’s more likely he was just walking that way. Don’t think any professional “following” me would be so bad at their job😂
If I say I don't like the Democrat or Republican parties, does that mean I hate the USA? If I say I hate the BJP or Congress, does that mean I hate India? Similarly, if I say I hate the CCP, does that mean I hate China? Do you see the logic? You are mixing a country with a political party. Any person has the right to criticize their own political party. Whether it's right or wrong depends on the individual's viewpoint, but fundamentally, we all have the right to express how we feel about our political party or leader.

CCP has done many things to make China great. So people have few reasons to hate CCP then like it with an average IQ unless you are biased.
How about the disputes over islands and sea with neighbor countries ?

I read a lot of media, a lot Its part of my job. Western media by its nature is critical. Its critical of western governments as well as China . The truth is China isn't portraded as poorly as the CCP wants its people to believe. I don't remember the last time I read an article about Chinas treatment of religious minorities but Im sure it still goes on. Chinas enconomy is mentioned quite a bit because it effects everybody in some way. Chinas territorial claims in the south china sea are rarely mentioned and tibet never. All in all China gets a pretty easy ride. I can't read Chinese but my wife says shes embarrassed at some of the things she sees in chinese media concerning western countries.
When read some "reports" on China in western Media I am also embarrassed, how can they be so stupid to write such trash? Furthermore, how can the people in the west countries be so stupid to believe it ?
read a lot of media? are we on the same planet? no idea how many folks in the West literally make a living by talking trash? bashing China is one of those things that had been a cottage industry.

If you don't understand Chinese, how can you say "The truth is China isn't portraded (i think you meant portrait) as poorly as the CCP wants its people to believe"? I mean you don't know what the CCP tells its people about how the western media describes China, how can you say what the Chinese people heard from their own government about China is worse than the China depicted by the western media and foreign governments? And your wife's opinion about how Chinese media talks about western Countries can't be generalized to the whole China. I lived in China for 30 years and China's government has been protecting its people from seeing how the West smears, slanders, and stigmatizes China and Chinese for decades. Since more Chinese people from China mainland have come to foreign countries and encountered racial discriminations toward Chinese, their perception about the world has changed. It is Chinese people find out that how the west view them by themselves. And here I am not trying to make people like China or CPC. I just hope people can be more reasonable and better informed.

We've been living on borrowed time since 1962. If not nuclear holocaust, then a deadly pandemic. No surprise Western media downplays the warning shot across the bow by Covid that next pandemic can pose existential threat. The West simply has no answer.

How could an organization that's very huge and with access to all the best accountants in USA not able to track the funds and could only offer a weak answer that's it's *UNACCOUNTABLE* .
However, we know that it was the sum that was paid world-wide to thousands of of hands, like news organizations, people, influencers, etc, for last couple of decades to carry out its anti-China propaganda and that's a fearful revelation because a country that needed to use such vast sums to spread anti-China message means that it would never go down without a fight.

I think that is an important issue, but this is what I have seen: I know and play football with Uyghurs here in Chengdu. Nice people and really good at football. I have never been to Xinjiang itself, but would love to go. I would film and post anything I saw there, whether it be good or bad.

China is the largest market in the world, about 800 million middle class, so Starbucks, KFC, McDonalds, GM, Gucci, John Deere, Airbus, VW, BMW, BASF..... are making a killing and keeping their shareholders very, very happy! Western manufacturing companies have signed contracts to manufacture their products and sharing of their IT; not happy? don't sign! But they still signed and make more money using Chinese manufacturing companies than is possible anywhere else in the world. The US and EU have the largest protectionism and state subsidies in the world, for example, especially in agriculture. China has 14 neighbours and China is their largest trading partner, so there must be excellent goodwill, but there will always be minor irritants (that the anti-China western msm seizes to claim the US bad-China publicity $500 billion bounty). The UN & the US all recognise Taiwan is a part of China, they are related by blood so you will not see relatives killing each other. Hong Kong does still have its autonomy, and China has stated the unique one country, 2 states may be extended past 2047, (the National Security Law the rioters went amuck is a weaker version of that of the US, UK, ). You need to visit China to see for yourself.

The individuals in china are not terrible, but when you go along to get along you become part of the problem. Not to mention all the scamming and intolerance of the chinese people that seems to be flagrant. Certainly you can and although you make a valid point, that is the same for a lot of countries around the world (I’m actually surprised how many) and yet not much hate goes their way.

I also live in China being married to a Chinese woman and have been living here for the last 13 years. As far as the people go, in my experience, the educated ones are usually fine and really no different to people all over the world. The poor and the ones from more remote areas can be nice but there are many that are suspicious of foreigners are very ignorant about what is really going on inside China as well as the rest of the world. However when it comes to the CCP we only have to look at the way they behave, not only to their own people but to the rest of the world. They really expect everyone else to kowtow to China. Just look at the way the little pinks behaved with Brendan Kavanagh in London a short while ago. Day to day life is fine here, certainly better than being back in my home country, England; but there is more to life than just the everyday stuff. You have to remember the people and the party are very different animals.
I never understood the China hate either. Ignorant as heck, too. My roommate has stated some racist remarks as jokes and I immediately shut them down. I don't tolerate it, at all.

I think you made some intelligent observations, but here's what I think is wrong with China:
1) Salami slicing territories and economic zones from it's neighbours.
Everywhere China fishes, nothing lives anymore. They don't throw back female, they just indiscriminately take everything. China is fighting India, pressuring Bangladesh, etc, trying to manuever themselves to gain access to rivers and waterways to build huge dams to artificially control water to leverage political pressure on their neighbors. Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, India, etc. Not to mention backing despicable military junta in Myanmar.
2)Friendship with war criminals and adversaries to US
Unlimited Friendship with Putin. Negative points.
3)Aggressive diplomatic tactics
Wolf warrior envoys. Does not inspire confidence in cooperation, especially in tangent with who they align themselves.
4)Compare China to other Chinese nations like Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong which have flourished without communist rule. One can only imagine a China without the shackles of dictatorship.
5) Chinese military swears an oath to the communist party, but not to the Chinese nation or it's constitution. Before you say I'm lying here is the English translation:
It is my will to join the Communist Party of China,
uphold the Party's program,
observe the provisions of the Party Constitution,
fulfill a Party member's duties,
carry out the Party's decisions,
strictly observe Party discipline,
guard Party secrets,
be loyal to the Party,
work hard,
fight for communism throughout my life,
be ready at all times to sacrifice my all for the Party and the people,
and never betray the Party
Considering all this, why should USA continue a partnership with a country that wishes to be it's competitor AND does not hold the same fundamental ideological values?

Thank you for taking the time to comment like that. Some really interesting points. You know despite all of the above points, America and China continue to work together on a number of issues and are I would guess the most important countries for the world economy. Point two is also very interesting and here is why: with the recent developments in the Middle East and the Houthi’s who are rumoured to be funded by Iran, America has publicly called on China to leverage its relationship with Iran to in turn leverage its relationship to retrain that group.

@@TobyChina Yes most people do. All China needed to do was to report the fact there was a new disease when they knew about it but they didn't and the whole world got effected by it.

I like the chinese people . But they are not aware of what there government is doing. I talk to family in China and they have a whole other side to what is happening.. free uncensored Internet would help.
