If your dash is coming out but you're not swapping, your ability input is being put in before you buffer with the left stick tilt, and remember you're not holding the left stick up you're quickly letting go after the tilt. You're on track if the problem your having is that you're swapping but no ability is coming out. Since that means your swap and buffer is right. Remember that each step is it's own separate thing, the only constant is having whatever button you use to have your abilities pulled up the entire time. So a good way to practice is to do every step slowly at first, then chaining the steps together faster and faster
Thank you for the tips, I practiced all night and finally found what I was doing wrong. I found a more comfortable key for my controller, I switched my weapon change to L1 to have a better control on my tilt. Got Scatter wheel and Sliding shot to 3 after hours of practice. lol
It seems like it is patched now. I'm on the Xbox and I've tried it multiple times and it did not work for me. If it is still working for you make a video on a Xbox so I can see what I'm doing wrong.
I finally started doing it after doing flips and slides on the beach for 10 minutes. Interestingly enough, when attempting this on mobs, it gives me sword kill medals even though I haven't actually switched to sword yet
I'm having a lot of trouble pulling this off so I wanted to ask something to clarify. Should I be aiming to mash the inputs as fast as possible while not overlapping or should I be trying to input the skill command at the very end? From what I have read from other sources, jogging and running don't affect this so I tried macroing with M/K but I never got it to work so I swapped to my controller and threw myself at the task for quite a while and still haven't got it down. I've tried on 30 and 60 fps. I also get both different outcomes in about a 40/60 ratio when doing the inputs manually, between switching without dashing and dashing but not switching. I figured If I was doing it correctly I would have got it simply by getting lucky by now but I'm questioning if I am doing it correctly. I am following the order of your inputs without overlapping but I can't seem to hit the timing even once. Do I need to be using specific weapons/stats? Also does it need to be a certain level of dash attack? Rn im using a prycon and a kagi type z with 255 agi but only dash attack 1.
All levels of dash attack work. As for consistency, this glitch really isn't. The game is tied to frames and sometimes a little lag will mess the timing up. I've also made a macro for this before and it's honestly more consistent doing it myself with a controller. Even worse if you're in coop with some latency. The game is inherently pretty inconsistent because of the frame mechanics so my best advice is to just practice being consistent and getting the muscle memory down. The jog buffer seems to not be necessary but for a while it made it more consistent, at least for me and some friends, maybe because the timing just worked out. As for "mashing the inputs", I find that you can incur a very slight delay between the switch weapon and skill use inputs since the tech is not frame perfect, rather it's just near-frame perfect. Seems like having the inputs chain one right after the other sometimes causes the game to see two inputs that were done at different times register as two inputs on the same frame.
It's really not that easy and the timing would be comparable to smash melee mechanics. As mentioned, you have about 0.4 seconds to work with so getting a feel for it and practicing is necessary to pull it off consistently. Trick to doing this is performing it at least once correctly. After that you will know what to look for and work on the timing itself. If you see yourself switching weapons prematurely, you need to hit the skill faster. If you end up using dash attack or whatever skill you choose, means you're too fast and probably using the skill before the joystick movement buffer.
I got to the point where I'm just switching weapons when I perform it slowly. Yes, I'm letting go of the switch button before I buffer and input the skill as it's own separate actions However, when I speed up my input I do the same thing, but it's only the skill that's activating. Been practicing for a week now and still nothing
@@rasainothelostspirit8725 you specifically need to input the walking animation from what I've been able to do. (as in, tilting it all the way makes your character jog, which is not what you're looking for) That and from the sounds of it you're inputting the skill too fast. Try varying your timing a bit more and pay attention to what your fingers are doing on the controller.
Means your timing is too early, you need to make sure that the first input that goes through is the weapon swap, I suggest you only do the rest of the input once your finger lets go of the switch button; it still has to be quick though.
thanks it took awhile I was trying to skill swap with quick shot to bt4, u have to swap then move not do both at the same time but quick enough, if it isn't working for u
A little late to it but it’s easier on lower fps (everything that’s frame perfect) so if your on pc running the game at 60fps you may find it a lot harder vs 30fps
The buffer for pc would just be a forward input??? Have been trying for ages with keyboard inputs and not getting anywhere, currently doing: hold v(skill shift) + e(switch) + w(movement buffer) + 1(dash)

1. I have a switch, and can confirm it does work on it, also idk what a Chronus Zen is. 2. Don't give up, in contrast it took me an entire weekend to so it the first time. Once you get the timing locked into muscle memory, yhen you'll be consistent. Keep practicing.

I'm putting all my testing info here since it may be useful to someone else researching if this glitch can be done using macro on a controller. Unfortunately, I have to give up as my time to play (for now and for the long foreseable future) has already ended. I'm using 8bitdo pro 2 controller and the companion app that lets you program the macro. I am playing on Switch. Biggest problem with the app, or should i say limitation, is the absence of pause function in between simulated key presses in their macro. In the future that they include a "pause" function in between keys programmed then this glitch can be done using controller. If anyone is reading this in the future and the 8bitdo app already have a pause function in their macro then this glitch is 100% possible to replicate. It will need enough time to test/trial and error the pause time between the keys but universally the change weapon key would be at least at 30-40ms activation time. Any simulated button press specially the "change weapon" has a minimum "pressed" time of 30 milliseconds and maximum of 260 milliseconds. For reference, 30ms is almost only 1 frame in a 30fps game like this. Anything lower than 30 milliseconds will not be picked up reliably by the system as a key press. At 270 milliseconds, it does not produce any output. This extends up to 310 milliseconds. On activation time of 320 milliseconds and above, the key is registered as "unequip weapon" instead (like when holding the right dpad) I have tried to unmap a button using the 8bitdo app, making the said key null, and used that as a makeshift pause function key. It did not yield a favorable result probably due to 1. The minimum key press that can be registered is at 30ms and the required time to apply the buffer (joystick tilt up) needs to be done in less than 30ms after ending the change weapon key press, or the most possible reason is 2. This makeshift pause method that I used ruins the buffer key since the system reads a null input instead of a pause or break in the key input sequence immediately after the change weapon. This is the main reason why a future implementation of pause in the 8bitdo app would definitely make recreating this glitch possible. I have confirmed that the length from the time of the first input (weapon change) to the beginning of last input (skill button) last for 400 milliseconds per the visual interface, +/- 30ms for margin of error. Any macro for this glitch needs to be less than 400ms excluding the activation length of the last key (skill button). Sorry for hijacking your comment section and making this my info dump. you can hold forward after the skill input and follow through, otherwise the initial input of walking forward is essential for canceling the switch animation.
It takes practice, the timing isn't obvious. Also you cannot switch weapons and use a skill at the same time, it needs to be two separate inputs separated by a quick buffer movement.

nothing has been patched since February of 2019, you're not supposed to flick it, rather move the stick up a little to buffer a walking animation rather than a run
Is this even achievable on Xbox because I've been at this for at least 2 hours non-stop. So I'm holding the skill select button, switching weapon followed by tilting the stick and immediately pressing the dash button but it always switches and does nothing. Is this just a PS4 thing or do I need to just stop sucking.
I don't own an xbox so I can't hard confirm that it works, but I've had many people tell me it is possible and I don't see any reason for it not to be. The pinned comment says that it works for xbox. The timing is tricky to get down and personally I felt like doing it for the first time was the hardest.
So even if it does it as melee dmg why are you criting for 99999999999 in the first place. I don’t get how it matter if it’s meelee dmg or not. Can I do this with a rlly weak gun and it still one shot or is it because what you have equipped
I have what is considered to be the most broken sword in the game. The Gigas Cedar can do 1-2 million per crit with the right build. Add that with the fact that dash attack 4 multiplies melee anywhere between 25 000% to 100 000% since guns only deal 1 melee damage normally, your sword will hit a crit for hundreds of millions. The only other sword that I can see this do vasts amounts of damage with is probably the Kagemitsu type Z, but will deall a couple million with regular swords.
If you look at it mathematically its more like, 4075 x 1 000 x 16 x whatever other multipliers come with power field, melee booster, debuffing, dex/luc etc...
1:55 if u slow it down in the game u can see sliding shot being used which is on the right side which is circle but on the controller came he presses triangle why????? And somehow that works
i do it once or twice then i swap weapons 100k times or activate the skills 100 times there are also times it doesnt register that i am trying to swap weapons and activates skills because i make sure i press the swap first
From what I've tested it's not exactly consistent either, you could input the exact same timing twice and get different results either time. After a bit more testing I also found out that it really needs to be a walk animation buffering the switch; or a run animation buffering a walk. I'm not completely sure why this is the case but I can probably assume it has to do with how the game handles inputs with frames as almost everything in this game is tied to frames. This also makes it much harder for keyboard players since inputting a "walk" animation with a key requires a lot more timing than just lightly holding the stick forward with a controller.
Okay- it works on PC, as far as i can tell It can't be done on keyboard, but can with a controller plugged in (using an xbx remote) I did it maybe 6 times out of the 1-200 i tried in the last half hour- it's more than a timing issue lol, i feel like it almost depends on the servers to not be optimal to work- very iffy but very cool when you pull it off! have yet to hit anything with it though
Firstly, there are no servers, this game is peer to peer. Second, I think, and idk for sure, that it's all dependant on how the game reads inputs over multiple frames. Since most of the game's mechanics work off of FPS, PC performance also has an impact. As for keyboard, a lot harder to pull off, but not impossible.

So finding the easiest way to do it would be optimal- hey, i tried about 200 times on controller (200 dashes i waited CD for, many more that only resulted in a weapon swap) and got 6, 2 more in co-op PVP lobby by TP. tried maybe 150 times on keyboard, not once. But whatever works best! also note- not sure how much the R1 affects the perfomance as keyboard you dont need to option select abilities it's one hotkey.
Considering it's a frame perfect trick... It actually relies on game performance on whatever platform you are using. I would imagine people with very powerful PCs will find it more difficult to pull off, whereas people playing on consoles that have much lower spec might have a better time.

as well detailed as this i still cant do it no matter how many times i try. T^T it always just does the dash or switch weapons. practiced an hour straight n not got it once.
It will not work if any of the inputs are done simultaneously; meaning it won't work if more than one button is pressed at the same time (exception the R1 or skill select button). If that isn't the problem keep trying until you find the timing, then keep practicing till you get it consistently. The hardest part of this glitch is doing it for the first time.
@@shinra6913 the left stick can be held down for the duration of the skill, what I mean is that the switch button is pressed down and released before you touch anything

Xbox is the only console I cannot confirm this to work on. PC seems to work fine and I personally tested Playstation and Switch. Considering switch has much worse delay and a little bit of joystick drift, I would assume its doable on Xbox.

@@proteus5222 buffer just means you cancel something by doing something else, in this case you cancel the switch animation into a forward movement which allows you to use a skill right at the start if the weapon swap
@@proteus5222 as for actually doing it, its just like any other video game near-frame perfect input, just practice getting a "feel" for the timing. Shouldn't be too quick, but also not too slow.
Apparently there is a way to do it without buffering the movement. Although it's honestly sad that it's a complete pain in the ass to even do. I can get it to work VERY RARELY while using the video technique 1 out of 250 attempts. Most of the time it doesn't even register any of the inputs I make.
It's basically the same method as depicted in the video, just without the buffer. I pretty much gave up trying since it's an absolute pain to do it consecutively
Well, you don't really need buffs if you've got gigas cedar, otherwise I use melee booster 2, power field 4, viral shot 4, have an AI hit me with nano 4 and 100 medal gauge

1:38 You moved up as soon as the R1 input was still in play I thought it was R1 (hold) Right clock then move forward a bit then press witch ever button
You can hold R1 for the entire duration, that part actually doesnt really matter because that just unlocks the skills. As for moving up, I moved a little before doing the switch to position myself facing the behemoth (I didn't need to do it in this case but I just do it on impulse); that part isn't required. When you "move forward a little", your character may not even actually move, it's just the input that's important.

Start with Skill unlock pressed entire time - as this is fine to be held down. Step 1 is easy, have to press and release the button for switching weapons. Step 2 is where you changed your answers on 3 occasions... you buffer with movement but is it held forward? or move forward and release? or buffer with slight tilt and release or slight tilt and hold?? Step 3 use skill. The 2nd step is what I've been hung up on and none of those 3 things have worked :S. Can we buffer with something else?
@@TheBoricua2121 whatever equivalents you set them to. If you're using default, it should be R1 => R, d-pad => d-pad, joystick => joystick, skill button (square, triangle, cross, circle) => skill button (a, b, x, y)

Hold R1 (or whatever button you have skill unlock set to) the entire time, quickly tap the weapon switch button then buffer that with a slight forward tilt, at which you will want to do a skill right after the slight movement of the joystick (or W on PC).
Is it cool if I add you? I’m level 300 but struggle to solo any hard co Ops. I find myself putting no damage in but some 300s just solo everything for me lol

The devs stopped caring after the feburary update, I have not heard of anyone being banned from fatal bullet in 2020 and I wouldnt worry. It's more about the hosts kicking you out of lobbies for it.
@@mistressofdreams6031 you are indeed wrong, the game actually straight up lets you totally customise kirito however you like, outside of cutscenes of course. But this glitch can still be performed on FB even today, although, being frame perfect, it is dependent on game performance.

@@t0xicpanda458 for the first time I literally just went to Old South, ran off into the field, killed the sniper butterflies normally and tried to get it to work the first time. That took me over a day or two to even start to understand. Back then there wasn't really any guides and all I knew was "switch then use skill". I did that a couple more times during the week then moved onto trying it on the turrets in MT-02 room. I kept doing those until I felt like doing it on the behemoth himself. After a lot of practice on the behemoth, I tried it on some of the other hardcore co-op 3 missions. Then it started to become muscle memory.

@@Wither255 for the love of god please tell us the timings for pc macros, it's killing me, i think it has something to do with the framerate cap im running it at but i can't land it unless im running a speedhack for 0.25x speed. I'm going to swap to 30fps cap, see what happens.
@@Kentololable I haven't made a macro myself, and yes framerate does affect a lot of mechanical things in the game since a lot of things are tied to frames for some reason
0.4 seconds is actually quite slow for a series of inputs, if you ever watch any pro tournament for a fighting game, people input all sorts of combos in a fraction of a second.
I'm still unsure exactly how far you can to tilt the stick forward. From experience it can be tilted all the way, so long as it's done after the switch input.

@@HighDopamine yes, it shouldn't ever be patched since the last update was the final update for the game. As for Xbox inputs, im not sure what buttons you need to press exactly, but it will be along the lines of; weapon switch -> tilt left stick forward -> dash attack skill
It means cancelling the animation and/or input of something to input something else. In this case, you cancel the weapon switch's locking of the skills which allows you to both swap weapons and use the skills off the first weapon.
@@lordmazo616 by doing a slight tilt forward, meaning that you move forward a little bit right after you release your finger off the switch button, you'll buffer the standing switch animation which will allow you to use a skill in the small window of time where the skills are still on the screen before the switch happens.
Sword dash is just the name we give to this particular use of the glitch. What I do is use dash attack, which should be a gun skill, on a sword using the switch glitch.

I’m running into a problem. When I flick my left stick sometimes it won’t switch my weapon. Does that happen to u?
Means your timing is too early, you need to make sure that the first input that goes through is the weapon swap, I suggest you only do the rest of the input once your finger lets go of the switch button; it still has to be quick though.
Can this be done with keyboard inputs? The skill activation seems nowhere near as fast on pc due to how patchwork the skill interface is for the port.

thanks it took awhile I was trying to skill swap with quick shot to bt4, u have to swap then move not do both at the same time but quick enough, if it isn't working for u

A little late to it but it’s easier on lower fps (everything that’s frame perfect) so if your on pc running the game at 60fps you may find it a lot harder vs 30fps

The buffer for pc would just be a forward input??? Have been trying for ages with keyboard inputs and not getting anywhere, currently doing: hold v(skill shift) + e(switch) + w(movement buffer) + 1(dash)
keep in mind you need to make sure you're no longer inputting the dash attack when buffering

1. I have a switch, and can confirm it does work on it, also idk what a Chronus Zen is.
2. Don't give up, in contrast it took me an entire weekend to so it the first time. Once you get the timing locked into muscle memory, yhen you'll be consistent. Keep practicing.

Any idea how much milliseconds are the keys apart? From weapon switch to tilt, tilt to skill. A "guesstimate" will do if you don't have one. Thanks!

@@Wither255 if you are still working on it, I wish you good luck. I am unable to replicate this using the macro controller that I have (8bitdo). I'm putting all my testing info here since it may be useful to someone else researching if this glitch can be done using macro on a controller. Unfortunately, I have to give up as my time to play (for now and for the long foreseable future) has already ended.
I'm using 8bitdo pro 2 controller and the companion app that lets you program the macro. I am playing on Switch. Biggest problem with the app, or should i say limitation, is the absence of pause function in between simulated key presses in their macro. In the future that they include a "pause" function in between keys programmed then this glitch can be done using controller. If anyone is reading this in the future and the 8bitdo app already have a pause function in their macro then this glitch is 100% possible to replicate. It will need enough time to test/trial and error the pause time between the keys but universally the change weapon key would be at least at 30-40ms activation time.
Any simulated button press specially the "change weapon" has a minimum "pressed" time of 30 milliseconds and maximum of 260 milliseconds. For reference, 30ms is almost only 1 frame in a 30fps game like this. Anything lower than 30 milliseconds will not be picked up reliably by the system as a key press. At 270 milliseconds, it does not produce any output. This extends up to 310 milliseconds. On activation time of 320 milliseconds and above, the key is registered as "unequip weapon" instead (like when holding the right dpad)
I have tried to unmap a button using the 8bitdo app, making the said key null, and used that as a makeshift pause function key. It did not yield a favorable result probably due to 1. The minimum key press that can be registered is at 30ms and the required time to apply the buffer (joystick tilt up) needs to be done in less than 30ms after ending the change weapon key press, or the most possible reason is 2. This makeshift pause method that I used ruins the buffer key since the system reads a null input instead of a pause or break in the key input sequence immediately after the change weapon. This is the main reason why a future implementation of pause in the 8bitdo app would definitely make recreating this glitch possible.
I have confirmed that the length from the time of the first input (weapon change) to the beginning of last input (skill button) last for 400 milliseconds per the visual interface, +/- 30ms for margin of error. Any macro for this glitch needs to be less than 400ms excluding the activation length of the last key (skill button).

you can hold forward after the skill input and follow through, otherwise the initial input of walking forward is essential for canceling the switch animation.

It takes practice, the timing isn't obvious. Also you cannot switch weapons and use a skill at the same time, it needs to be two separate inputs separated by a quick buffer movement.

I'm not quite sure why, but its frame perfect for sword skills to guns when only single wielding sword. Try doing it with gun & sword instead.

nothing has been patched since February of 2019, you're not supposed to flick it, rather move the stick up a little to buffer a walking animation rather than a run
Is this even achievable on Xbox because I've been at this for at least 2 hours non-stop. So I'm holding the skill select button, switching weapon followed by tilting the stick and immediately pressing the dash button but it always switches and does nothing. Is this just a PS4 thing or do I need to just stop sucking.
I don't own an xbox so I can't hard confirm that it works, but I've had many people tell me it is possible and I don't see any reason for it not to be. The pinned comment says that it works for xbox.
The timing is tricky to get down and personally I felt like doing it for the first time was the hardest.

So even if it does it as melee dmg why are you criting for 99999999999 in the first place. I don’t get how it matter if it’s meelee dmg or not. Can I do this with a rlly weak gun and it still one shot or is it because what you have equipped
I have what is considered to be the most broken sword in the game. The Gigas Cedar can do 1-2 million per crit with the right build. Add that with the fact that dash attack 4 multiplies melee anywhere between 25 000% to 100 000% since guns only deal 1 melee damage normally, your sword will hit a crit for hundreds of millions. The only other sword that I can see this do vasts amounts of damage with is probably the Kagemitsu type Z, but will deall a couple million with regular swords.
If you look at it mathematically its more like, 4075 x 1 000 x 16 x whatever other multipliers come with power field, melee booster, debuffing, dex/luc etc...
1:55 if u slow it down in the game u can see sliding shot being used which is on the right side which is circle but on the controller came he presses triangle why????? And somehow that works
That's because I had triangle bound to circle on that profile. Timing and input should be the same regardless, sorry if that confused anyone

i do it once or twice then i swap weapons 100k times or activate the skills 100 times there are also times it doesnt register that i am trying to swap weapons and activates skills because i make sure i press the swap first
From what I've tested it's not exactly consistent either, you could input the exact same timing twice and get different results either time. After a bit more testing I also found out that it really needs to be a walk animation buffering the switch; or a run animation buffering a walk. I'm not completely sure why this is the case but I can probably assume it has to do with how the game handles inputs with frames as almost everything in this game is tied to frames.
This also makes it much harder for keyboard players since inputting a "walk" animation with a key requires a lot more timing than just lightly holding the stick forward with a controller.
Okay- it works on PC, as far as i can tell It can't be done on keyboard, but can with a controller plugged in (using an xbx remote) I did it maybe 6 times out of the 1-200 i tried in the last half hour- it's more than a timing issue lol, i feel like it almost depends on the servers to not be optimal to work- very iffy but very cool when you pull it off! have yet to hit anything with it though
Firstly, there are no servers, this game is peer to peer. Second, I think, and idk for sure, that it's all dependant on how the game reads inputs over multiple frames. Since most of the game's mechanics work off of FPS, PC performance also has an impact. As for keyboard, a lot harder to pull off, but not impossible.

So finding the easiest way to do it would be optimal- hey, i tried about 200 times on controller (200 dashes i waited CD for, many more that only resulted in a weapon swap) and got 6, 2 more in co-op PVP lobby by TP. tried maybe 150 times on keyboard, not once. But whatever works best! also note- not sure how much the R1 affects the perfomance as keyboard you dont need to option select abilities it's one hotkey.
Considering it's a frame perfect trick... It actually relies on game performance on whatever platform you are using.
I would imagine people with very powerful PCs will find it more difficult to pull off, whereas people playing on consoles that have much lower spec might have a better time.

You don't need a third hand, just play claw like I was in the controller cam. I'm pretty sure you can look up how to play claw for xbox controllers.

It will not work if any of the inputs are done simultaneously; meaning it won't work if more than one button is pressed at the same time (exception the R1 or skill select button). If that isn't the problem keep trying until you find the timing, then keep practicing till you get it consistently.
The hardest part of this glitch is doing it for the first time.

It takes some getting used to, took me like 2 weeks to do it for the first time.
I think there is some input delay with Xbox controllers because of their sticky keys so I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to do it on here I’ve been trying for almost 2 hours but I can’t get it to work lol
Xbox is the only console I cannot confirm this to work on. PC seems to work fine and I personally tested Playstation and Switch. Considering switch has much worse delay and a little bit of joystick drift, I would assume its doable on Xbox.

@@proteus5222 buffer just means you cancel something by doing something else, in this case you cancel the switch animation into a forward movement which allows you to use a skill right at the start if the weapon swap
@@proteus5222 as for actually doing it, its just like any other video game near-frame perfect input, just practice getting a "feel" for the timing. Shouldn't be too quick, but also not too slow.

Apparently there is a way to do it without buffering the movement. Although it's honestly sad that it's a complete pain in the ass to even do. I can get it to work VERY RARELY while using the video technique 1 out of 250 attempts. Most of the time it doesn't even register any of the inputs I make.

It's basically the same method as depicted in the video, just without the buffer. I pretty much gave up trying since it's an absolute pain to do it consecutively

Well, you don't really need buffs if you've got gigas cedar, otherwise I use melee booster 2, power field 4, viral shot 4, have an AI hit me with nano 4 and 100 medal gauge

1:38 You moved up as soon as the R1 input was still in play I thought it was R1 (hold) Right clock then move forward a bit then press witch ever button
You can hold R1 for the entire duration, that part actually doesnt really matter because that just unlocks the skills. As for moving up, I moved a little before doing the switch to position myself facing the behemoth (I didn't need to do it in this case but I just do it on impulse); that part isn't required. When you "move forward a little", your character may not even actually move, it's just the input that's important.

If you've done it before the patch back in 2018, it's the same thing but you must buffer the switch animation.

I've gone through a lot of comments and I see you've said 3 different things now :S.
Start with Skill unlock pressed entire time - as this is fine to be held down.
Step 1 is easy, have to press and release the button for switching weapons.
Step 2 is where you changed your answers on 3 occasions... you buffer with movement but is it held forward? or move forward and release? or buffer with slight tilt and release or slight tilt and hold??
Step 3 use skill.
The 2nd step is what I've been hung up on and none of those 3 things have worked :S. Can we buffer with something else?

@@TheBoricua2121 whatever equivalents you set them to. If you're using default, it should be R1 => R, d-pad => d-pad, joystick => joystick, skill button (square, triangle, cross, circle) => skill button (a, b, x, y)

Hold R1 (or whatever button you have skill unlock set to) the entire time, quickly tap the weapon switch button then buffer that with a slight forward tilt, at which you will want to do a skill right after the slight movement of the joystick (or W on PC).

The devs stopped caring after the feburary update, I have not heard of anyone being banned from fatal bullet in 2020 and I wouldnt worry. It's more about the hosts kicking you out of lobbies for it.

But this glitch can still be performed on FB even today, although, being frame perfect, it is dependent on game performance.

@@t0xicpanda458 for the first time I literally just went to Old South, ran off into the field, killed the sniper butterflies normally and tried to get it to work the first time. That took me over a day or two to even start to understand. Back then there wasn't really any guides and all I knew was "switch then use skill".
I did that a couple more times during the week then moved onto trying it on the turrets in MT-02 room. I kept doing those until I felt like doing it on the behemoth himself. After a lot of practice on the behemoth, I tried it on some of the other hardcore co-op 3 missions. Then it started to become muscle memory.

exact number, like 0.4 seconds, but its not a thing of being as fast as possible, you can be too fast or too slow, it's a sweet spot

As mentioned in the other reply, if you see yourself switching weapons prematurely, you need to hit the skill faster. If you end up using dash attack or whatever skill you choose, means you're too fast and probably using the skill before the joystick movement buffer. Also remember not to press the switch button and the skill button at the same time or in a different order because it will fail if you do so.

@@Wither255 for the love of god please tell us the timings for pc macros, it's killing me, i think it has something to do with the framerate cap im running it at but i can't land it unless im running a speedhack for 0.25x speed. I'm going to swap to 30fps cap, see what happens.
@@Kentololable I haven't made a macro myself, and yes framerate does affect a lot of mechanical things in the game since a lot of things are tied to frames for some reason

0.4 seconds is actually quite slow for a series of inputs, if you ever watch any pro tournament for a fighting game, people input all sorts of combos in a fraction of a second.

I'm still unsure exactly how far you can to tilt the stick forward. From experience it can be tilted all the way, so long as it's done after the switch input.

It's old but does it work on nintendo switch? I feel like it is not working! Or can I just keep my finger on R1 the whole time? I even tried to remap my switch weapon button to LS/L3
It works on switch, I've done it before and there hasn't been any update since February 2019

Probably doable, but you would need to find a macro that can emulate a controller's joystick being pushed slightly up in a gradient manner.

@@HighDopamine yes, it shouldn't ever be patched since the last update was the final update for the game. As for Xbox inputs, im not sure what buttons you need to press exactly, but it will be along the lines of;
weapon switch -> tilt left stick forward -> dash attack skill
what do you mean by buffer?
It means cancelling the animation and/or input of something to input something else. In this case, you cancel the weapon switch's locking of the skills which allows you to both swap weapons and use the skills off the first weapon.

@@lordmazo616 by doing a slight tilt forward, meaning that you move forward a little bit right after you release your finger off the switch button, you'll buffer the standing switch animation which will allow you to use a skill in the small window of time where the skills are still on the screen before the switch happens.

I don't see sword dash
Sword dash is just the name we give to this particular use of the glitch. What I do is use dash attack, which should be a gun skill, on a sword using the switch glitch.

It still does, the final update was in February 2020. There shouldn't be any changes to the game since then.
