I think a lot of fragrances like these aren't made for the immediate thumbs-up from other people, like "Hey, I love you smelling like that!" I think a lot of them are made for the wearer's own enjoyment, an atmosphere that really touches or moves the wearer on some deep level, and perhaps, subtly worn, and over a period of time, helps establish a personality in the world as well. Some of these fragrances require time and discovery...not to mention dry-down and chemistry on the skin.
Yes, very true. I would also say that these fragrances are so weird that someone might start a conversation with you because you smell so different. But one thing that annoys me is fragrances being judged on strips. There’s notes that will push through on a strip that are more subtle on skin and vice versa which really ruins the chemistry of the fragrance. But it’s also almost impossible to test more that two fragrances at a time on skin, which doesn’t make for a great video. Also, I’m a red head and I can tell you that for sure, things smell very different on my skin compared to other people. Most vetiver on my skin smells like burnt rubber and almond/heliotropin will completely take over all the other notes on my skin to the point that it’s all you can smell. But those notes don’t do that on my blonde girlfriends skin and the fragrances smell completely different on her. Apparently redheads have a different skin PH than most people, it’s more acidic…
Its funny how people perceive scent and what they like can be so different me and my friend tried the sample set as well and loved many of the ones that were rated pretty low like macaque and trex nonetheless great video and thoroughly enjoyed hearing a different opinion
😂😂😂 it’s so funny 🦥 sloths are known to move so slow they green moss starts growing on them so they nailed the scent by your interpretation 😂 love I really wanted your take on 🐝 bee
You are very nice but the guest comes off really rude just for be above stuff. A lot of these do not smell like literal poop & pee in a bottle. It was really annoying how almost every perfume she said she thought it would smell like poop, pee and ass before even opening it.
I have a bottle of T-Rex and I absolutely love it. I wear it for me. I get a lot of the florals and incense
