I've been pinning things on my Pinterest board and it has absolutely transformed how I view my wardrobe and my purchases in general. No more wasted money on things I don't need. No more impulse purchases. Takes a bit of discipline, but I find it life-changing.

Love watching your videos because you encouraged me to dress up. One of my favourite things you said is if people ask you why are you over dressed, ask them why they are under dressed. As for today's video, I also buy leather equestrian boots during sale because they are classic and they will never be outdated.
Great answer! What these critics are really thinking is “why am I so lazy, sloppy and under-dressed, as your chic, polished outfit has just reminded me”? I also try to buy leather footwear, jackets and accessories during these sales, as well as high-quality tailored jackets and coats, and silk and cashmere items. This is what I buy anyway, so why not save some money on them? But only if I love them.
@@kimberlyperrotis8962 that's absolutely true and they blame and criticise you for their laziness and sloppiness. This is really strange but I started not caring about how they think.
@K E I realised that people are looking at me as I take public transport and walk jn the streets. I used to be invisible and no one noticed my presence. Now I am at the centre of their attention. I have also noticed some women wear their sunglasses and inspecting my outfit thinking that I cannot see their looks through the glasses 😂😂
That Max Mara coat looked gorgeous on you Anna. They do have beautiful coats, I modeled for Max Mara in Tokyo for their Tokyo Fashion Week show in the 90s. Their coats are amazing.
I agree, Max Mara is a pretty underrated brand! I’ve bought a pair of boots and a coat from them over 10 years ago and they held up really well! And they’re not THAT expensive either in the scheme of things.

A warm hug to our dear Anna! Always so charming and elegant. I do wish more women would be thinking the same way about clothes. Just today a friend on the phone was talking about a new winter coat. She had found one, but in a color she did not like. When I asked her, why on earth she had bought it, her answer was: " Why not, it is warm and comfy, - who will care about that strange color:" Moments like this tend to leave me speechless.
Honestly, i also do prefer the coat to be warm and comfy over any color or style. In my country we say "In the winter there is no fashion".

I never really considered buying actual pajamas. I’m a t-shirt/sweats or lounge pants kinda gal. This channel has helped open my eyes to different items to invest I went from military uniform, to scrubs to jeans/t-shirt type jobs. It is nice having those few items to feel good about myself when I go out.

Dear Anna, I learned a lot from you since I watch your videos. The latest lesson I started implementing is really making a lot of difference. In a video about what is appropriate to eat and what not, you advised us to select chocolate boxes instead of bars. You are so right. I get to eat less chocolate in fact now, but I enjoy it so much more, and is so different. Thank you for this lesson, it will stay in my heart forever.
I didn’t know lilysilk has cashmere. As I am Mongolian woman I had lived there 30 years, our mountain goats are healthy grass fed animals. And that grass curable for cancers. Rare type of plants. Because of they can live +36c in summer , -40c winter goat cashmeres are highest quality. When I started to live in Usa 🇺🇸 I bought Lord and Taylor at Macy’s cashmere sweater I felt HUGE DIFFERENCE

Where can we buy mongolian cashmere sweaters? I did buy one cashmere sweater from Gobi cashmere and it is very nice, but even with 20 % off it was very expensive. But I do have it for at least 3 years and it still looks brand new (I tore it at the armpit but fortunately did find someone to repair it so it is basically invisible).

Regarding experimenting: A lot of times things are on sale with the disclaimer **All Sales Are Final - No Returns** and then we've lost our money and are stuck with the item (unless we want to go through re-selling it somehow). With full price we can still return for full refund (only very occasionally with a small restocking fee) ☹️
If you don't love it, don't buy it! But, if you can't imagine yourself without it and can't wait to wear it and can excitingly envision yourself wearing it for a very long time because it's good quality and it has longevity that meshes well and coordinates with your already-owned wardrobe then it's a ***must buy*"" keeper! That's how I roll! ... when shopping. 😏

That’s why I’m a thrift store Junkie. Everything I have is made of quality fabrics, Beautiful cuts and vibrant colors. Designer stuff, if you ever look online for example, for second hand Chanel bags, they are tore up from the floor up… They don’t last that’s why I just get good quality items and don’t focus on the labels.

As a classic dressing lady myself, I often want to explain to Ladies in beautiful coats and jackets that the cross tacking in the shape of an X at the back pleat of said garment, is supposed to be removed before it is worn out. Love this. Many of us have grown up with this "keeping up with the Jones'" mentality where many people will buy brands to LOOK rich, but are actually in debt. Knowing what classy items to purchase and giving yourself the goal to buy things on sale is so important.
Whenever the video starts in your closet I get so excited as I know I will love the video (as they are typically videos involving fashion) as well as I love seeing your closet in the background !
Anna try to make a video about men clothing also , how to elevate our men also , some “catchy “items they should wear or to gift them .
During sales I focus on buying: silk, cashmere or merino items; leather clothing, footwear and accessories; quality tailored wool items like coats and jackets; and, if I can possibly afford it, high quality classic jewelry. These are the big-ticket items in my wardrobe, so the savings from sales can make a difference. But, I only buy items that I love, meet my criteria and would buy at full price. In the past, I wasted money on less-than--perfect sale items because the low prices are hard to resist. The Nordstrom summer sale, for example, often has made-for-the-sale items that are of lesser quality than I usually buy. They seem like good values, but if never really loved and enjoyed, they’re just a waste of money, storage space and time. (These sales often do have some good “loss leaders”, though, meaning items on which their profits are minimal or even negative, but which attract buyers, who often spend more on other items while they’re shopping there).

While I agree with you on the LV Never Full, and great neutral bags. I prefer them with a zipper closure (it is classier for people to not see into the bag, or if it falls over that nothing spills out so you do not lose anything or break your items). I also prefer 'feet' on the bottom of my bags (so the bottoms might get less dirty).
I like the way you look at it! The reason I like zipper on my bags, is because I grew up in a developing country, and it is inbuilt in me to protect myself from theft 😅
Oh and how about if it rains and you're caught in the middle of it. Zipper will protect the items temporarily. When it's all open, damage can happen. Especially if you happen to have a laptop in there

I’ve been buying most of my clothes from Lily Silk for years now, I prefer natural fiber fabrics like they have. For Thanksgiving, I’m wearing a blue and cream floral silk maxi skirt (Reformation?, I forgot) and my Lily Silk cream silk knit, V-neck long-sleeved top (plus carrying their silk cardigan in the same color for another layer under my wool coat). I always get overheated in other people’s homes or in commercial buildings, so a silk knit top is perfect. I can’t wear those thick acrylic sweaters that are sold everywhere, I’m allergic to that fiber and they’re just too hot anyway. A fine, lightweight merino or cashmere one is the only way to go.

tote bags - i have simple ones with a wide shoulder or crossbody strap. those thin straps dig into your shoulders with any weight in the bag.

Please make a video of affordable handbags like Aspinal of London or Strathberry or similar bag that we can afford to look elegant. Some loyal members also use those brands. Not always we can afford all designer bag. Some of these bags are affordable and elegant

Can you do a video with sshoes for festive occasions in cold weather? I have two 30's parties, a job dinner and the whole Christmas coming up and it will include dresses, clubbing and icy snowy streets. Hey Anna: I love your videos and find them very helpful in my level up journey. One question that has come up for me is resort wear/swim suit and cover up. How can an elegant lady choose a swim suit and cover up to help her maintain confidence and poise? Are there etiquette rules for pool side vs beach side environments? Any personal care tips for avoiding damage to our bodies and clothes? Any advice would be appreciated.
I would like to add one item to this list. Capeshawls. They're warm, cozy, wrap upper body nicely and are stylish as well. They're also kinda flowy which looks really sensual and feminine.

I personally buy clothes on sale. Although it's wise to buy makeup on sale too but sometimes makeups on sale are near expiry date. So I just buy one to save money.

I'm really curious how I can look elegant if I can't use makeup because my skin is really sensitive, even anti-alergic products make my skin bleed. Also, I can't use perfume/creams or shampoos and conditioners with perfumes because os this alergy, nor can I paint my hair (I wonder what I'll look like when gray hair starts showing...). No matter how elegant I behave, I fell like I never look clean enough hence don't look elegant. Any tips?
