The Calamity Mod is a large content mod for Terraria which adds many hours of endgame content and dozens of enemies and bosses dispersed throughout the vanilla game's progression. The Calamity Mod also features several harder difficulty modes, such as Death mode and revengeance mode five new biomes and new structures, a new class, a new leveling mechanic, more than thirty new songs, over fifty recipes for previously uncraftable vanilla items and other assorted changes to vanilla gameplay.

ddmod is one of the best chinese mods there is, definitely a hidden gem
there are the two calamity extension mods called Infernum and catalyst mods

2. catalyst was on the last spoiler recap, and I'm assuming that the reason it isn't on this one is because it hasn't released any spoilers so far.

That means 50% of the video is still spent giving a spotlight to more obscure mods.
@@purplehaze2358 The only genuinely obscure mods on this list are Luna Veil and Vitality mod. I think it is nice that he covered them, but they were pretty much just side notes compared to the time spent on the big mods.

The hot spring water in the underground inferno doesn't damage you, it h e a l s you. If it damaged you, the numbers would be red, not green
A lot is happening in the modding scene and it makes me very happy to see the upcoming changes, especially the rework of Borean Strider. I remember seeing what I think were concept art for the boss, but that concept was never realized until now. Glad that it's getting a glow up
Wow... The Luna Veil mod looks insane! It's so cool to see you talking about it. Also Vitality and Secrets of the Shadows are so fun to play.
That elemental saw launcher looks so good, i hope it gets added

it doesnt really look like a good idea if thats actually going to be the firerate ingame
@@bruhgod123 Most likely will be a "high risk, high reward" type of weapon, where you have to get quite close at the right timing or you will miss your attack and have to wait for the cooldown to end, but if you do hit your "shot" then you will deal plenty of damage (from the weapon's animation, it looks really powerful, spinning around very quickly)

Is the mod out? do I need certain mods to download it? how much is done? when do you fight bosses? Is there a wiki I can use?
@@wingedflyingforce5139 we do not have a wiki, it’s pretty much made by me and my friend so we didn’t have much help with that, yes it’s available on the latest version of tmodloader

Secrets of the Shadows is VERY underrated, the pyramid boss has gotta be one of my all time favourite pre-hardmode modded bosses. Shadows of Abaddon is also really high quality, I recommend them both. Luna Veil looks very interesting.
all of this is very exciting, I do wonder how sga, enigma, polarities, and elements awoken are doing, they all seem to be really lacking spoilers or updates though I'm pretty sure they are all working towards 1.4, I hope all is going well for them. Same goes to split mod another mod I am very excited to see in 1.4, though I understand why there are time problems with the devs of this mod. I am excited to see what tmodloader will be like in a year from now

SGA was killed off officially. Polarities' coder got bored (though someone else is doing a fanmade port.) Idk about Elements Awoken.
@@jimboanimations4041 I know elements awoken has been quiet but I'm sure progress is still being made. I know polarities wanted to end it here but I thought it was going to port before leaving it, and SGA it's sad that it was killed off but it was fun while it lasted

I only ever use Stars Above, Calamity+Catalyst, and Thorium but it’s cool to see how much other stuff that’s out there to try out later.

While mods like Joost mod was left to dust and remained in Legacy tmodloader, Shadows of Abaddon is still keeping up with the happenings. I'm glad it's not forever abandoned

I always play Calamity, Remnants, and Stars Above together. This news made me want to play them immediately! Too bad my laptop is still fixing.

There's one mod i wished to see here with a teaser uploaded yesterday by Dominic Karma, seems like a really cool mod and i'm interested to see what it's about
dom has been posting alot of teasers of what seems to be xeroc, one of the final superbosses in calamity lore. Its not finished but I will showcase it once its public

it sucks that all of these are so cool only because i cannot do 14 playthroughs at once... though i will say i am especially excited for mod of redemption, cuz nebeuleus fight is super cool now

Hey awesome video, could you make some type of mod guide for 2023 terraria ? As someone who only know calamity i felt very lost when hearing about the other mods because I don't even know what they include.
Stars above somehow attracts Weebs and normal/Calamity players since the mod itself is an add on to calamity
so cool to see mods that isnt calamity growing and becoming appealing

Most mods should work with Boss checklist, alchemistNPC, and other mods that add small features like that. In fact most mods are compatible with most other mods, back on 1.3 I had a massive modpack composing of every single content mod out there at the time... they played nicely together, spare one detail: worldgen.
With big mods come big additions to biomes and structure placements. The more content you add the more risk of important modded structures colliding and messing with each other. Other than that though most mods don't hassle each other. Game balance will be ruined but that's the price of modding.

I feel like I've been staring through a tunnel the past year of my life. Since when were there so many cool mods??? I thought Clamtitty was unique for have very beautiful structures but now you have other mods that do that.

Calamity has released plenty of new bosses. Thorium has not released a single boss since the 1.3 era.

Stars above is a good one, since it adds plenty of side content to let you explore without taking over calamity's progression.

Calamity and Thoroum go well together. The balance no longer matters since Calamity fixed their weapons.
So how compatible are any of these mods with calamity infernum I’m trying to make like a super pack with a metric shit ton of content and bosses hopefully having post scal bosses too
Okay the two new mods I'm going to install my next large content mod playthrough when they're ported is spirit and I'm going to install starve light River when it's more finished there now I have 10 content mods I'll name them off and October
I cant find ancients awakened in the mod list anymore along with a lot of other mods. Has anything happened to it?
Can always consult their discord type like terraria "x mod" discord and join their server they usually have the most update to date versions. Some smaller mods take a while to port to latest stable versions of tmod

Dude I just played calamity and there was nothing new
I DONT FINISH when the mods are finished they turn into blackhole of sh** so if i go i die also the number is above the screen whe,n i die the boss is too op calamity for the new theme thats get a lot of very vbery very goods music theme my friend told i couldnt get the zenith but i get it during the night my sister is very nice when i talk her back the mod is a big weapon i dont like mcdonalds terraria link get borred for the first time and no one react but also everyone just overreact when they win agianst the boss rush but still too easy for me my stuff just too overpower against the normal mods available on the store so please somone just create a very high difficulty mod on the game with t mod loader
