these modded recaps really put into perspective how much more insane terraria modding has become. I remember when mods like calamity and thorium were basically the titans of terraria modding. Now, there's even more content mods that have managed to revolutionize the game in ways that 4 years ago me wouldn't have been able to believe.

They know they can release an unfinished game and launch a patch later, so they lower the deadlines for their devs ruining the quality of the game, worst part is most devs for these games still have a passion for gaming, and wish they had more time. Quick question: are the distortion biome/maybe subworld and profaned crogs biomes still planned to come out in the future? Question 2: are there going to be more large updates to the brimstone crags or are we done?
1. All biomes and subworlds except the plague biome are still gonna get in. 2. Yes, all biome ultra mega overhaul and expansions of epicness are still planned. They are just not gonna be what iban made concepts for.
@@sebasblos1 the biome tweaks they did in the "from the ashes" update are nothing compared to the true overhauls coming after the 1.4.4 port. They just set up those mini overhauls to prepare for what's to come.

For example Fab stated that he did not like what he did to DoG considering that DoG is supposed to be a giant eldtritch monster serpent, and that the one iban made was too cute and basic. Edit: I forgot to mention that Fabsol liked the phase 2 one, so we might see some similarities in the new DoG resprite for phase 2.

people who say calamity has the best sprites and animations should see literally any of these mods, ESPECIALLY starlight river which i believe will become the best terraria mod out there for a while, i believe starlight river was the first mod to use text boxes and inside areas where you cant see in until your in, and the outside becomes black, i COULD be wrong about that, but starlight river is the most unique mod out there and already has ALOT of content pre-hardmode, even if it doesnt have 15 bosses prehm like calamity does, all of these mods seem like they are just better then calamity, contentwise? no, calamity will have the most content for a long time, only mod to get close to having more content is fargos, but that would require fargos adding in biomes, structures and weapons to eternity/masomode, i could very well be wrong on this though
most of the content mods can be played multiplayer...though i'd assume this may change as we shift towards a complete 1.4.4 port and mods need to play catch up again
