Thanks for the reaction! This was from a Taemin solo concert, not a Shinee concert, so he was sweaty because he'd been performing song after song himself

This one actually is from a Taemin solo concert, so it was almost 2 hours of just him singing and dancing.. :)

Soldier (which you only heard a small part of here) and Rise belong to my favorite ballads from Taemin’s solo discography and he has many amazingly deep and emotional songs. Only watching a performance like this one you can tell why Taemin is referred to as King of Kpop and Idols’ Idol. It’s because of performances like this that one starts to realize exactly why he is so special… Like someone already mentioned it was not a SHINee concert. It was one of his solo concerts (he’s done more than 60 in his career) in which he was dancing intensely and singing live for over 2 hours. That’s why he’s sweating so much here, because he was performing all by himself in front of this huge audience.
Taemin is one of those rare artists who have it all - his dancing is absolutely sensational, but his voice… his voice is mesmerizing and transmits so much emotion that sometimes I want to cry - it’s unique and beautiful and incredibly versatile. Taemin is really one of a kind, my favorite pop artist by a mile and I’m really happy you give him attention on your channel. Thank you for a very enjoyable reaction.
Oh and Sirius was a title of his Japanese tour - and the name came from the brightest star :)
Wow you explained it so beautifully. I'm really new to Taemin so I don't know much about his work but someone wrote in the comments he had like 30 concerts that year, you r saying he has done like 60 till now, so I'm curious since when did he start doing solo tours?

I’m happy you found my comment informative :) His first solo concerts took place in 2017 - First Budokan Stage in Tokyo and two months later his OFF-SICK concert in Seoul (he promoted his Move album then). A year later in the fall of 2018 he had his biggest tour so far (I believe it was more than 30 concerts) in Japan and it was called Sirius (this performance comes from this tour). Then came 2019 and his mini album Want, which he promoted with 3 concerts in Seoul in March (we call these concerts TMI, but the official name was T1001101). The same year he had another big tour in Japan (all together 17 concerts) in much bigger venues than previously and it was also another different production. Those concerts are called Xtm Arena Tour. At the end of 2019 he came back to Japan for 3 Christmas/New Year’s Eve concerts - he wanted to present TMI concert to the Japanese audience. And finally his last solo concert took place shortly before his enlistment, in early May 2021 (it was an online concert called Never Gonna Dance Again). So yeah, all together he had more than 60 solo concerts :)

And I can tell you from my experience (I discovered Taemin in early 2018) that he’s an incredible artist and even more amazing human being, who will capture your heart completely and forever. We’re literally 2 months away from his military discharge and we’ll have him back with us for good! You can’t even imagine how excited I am, just wait for his first Instagram live, he’ll melt your heart :) Also by all means watch all his solo concerts (you can find the vast majority of them on YT. Just type Taemin 2019 and you’ll see most of them pop up!). And if you have any questions I’ll be more than happy to help :) Enjoy your Taemin journey!
Taemin's natural talent is dancing but he worked so hard to improve his vocal skills.
when he was a trainee people called him "tone deaf", people told him, he should be focus only on dancing

Just for everyone who is new to taemin .. his still member of SHINee/SuperM but he has a lot of solo stuff too ( this performance was one of his solo japan tour) he had totals of 29 concert in that year (to be exact in 2 month)
Rise (ikarus in korean) is a very strong and beatiful song
These NEVER fail to give me chills. Also, this was part of his solo concert…not a SHINee concert. He puts on EXCEPTIONAL solo concerts that run just as long as many groups’ full concerts.
Taemin our amazing WonderBoy in one of his most memorable vocal performances. Every time I watch this, I am blown away at how incredibly brave he is to belt his voice out like that in front of thousands of people. I mean how do you psyche yourself to do that?? Rise , indeed...

Check out Taemins monologue which he wrote specifically for Jonghyun after he passed away. It held all of his emotions and feelings of that time. There is no mv for monologue you have to watch the live version

This is proof that Taemin is not just a pretty face and an amazing dancer, but also he has amazing vocals and gives us raw emotions to his performances. Every time I hear him sing Rise I get goosebumps.

Taemin is such an amazing ARTIST.. he give 1000% every time he is performing as a solo or with SHINee and Super M
Taemin wrote the lyrics for "Soldier," so that is one of the reasons why he feels so passionately about this song when he performs it, because it's all his own words and thoughts. And because this concert was part of Taemin's solo Japanese concert tour, you heard him perform the Japanese version of the song, but if you listen to his Press It album, or watch a Korean performance, you can hear the Korean version. :D
In Taemin's "Rise" performance, I interpret the dancer to be Taemin's inner self, and the dancer is portraying Taemin's inner feelings and emotions. Fun fact: The dancer is a fairly well known young Japanese dancer and choreographer named Santa Uno who has been a professional dancer since he was a teenager. In 2020 Santa participated in a Chinese idol trainee competition program and he became a member of the international Chinese boy group INTO1.
When it comes to TAEMIN, his prformances are GOD TIER! SHINee is just nsanely good when performing live.
I can't even begin to explain just how much these two songs and the performances to them resonate with me. I become so lost in them, the emotions, everything is just so beautiful and captivating. I always end up tearing up as well with these two songs as well.
I can’t wait for Shinee’s back in 2023 and also for Taemin solo and also for Shinee’s concerts I hope they can perform in Europe!

thanks so much for this...now i wannna rewatch the whole concerts of Taemin, essp Sirius Concert, yes the name of concert is Sirius, he has some solo concerts and the concert has its own name, and this concert Sirius mean the brightest star, cmii, all of his concerts were so uniq, artistic and fantastic, and in this concert I really love all of the transition from song to song, sooo nice (so better to watch the whole concert), just like this performance, before soldier he was performs Thisrty and ended by laying down then continue with soldier then rise... God, his stamina is trully in athlete level ! hahaha..

I can not say enough on how much I love Rise!! Also, this is not a Shinee consert. This is one of Taemin's solo concerts. I said in another post that trained vocal coaches told Taemin he would never be a good singer and he should quit. Yeah, there is a video someone put together of him starting out in Kpop and being just the dancer for the group and he was never given solo parts in songs bc he wasn't that good. In the video you see the progression of his vocals and the video ends with this performace, Soldier and Rise. He never gave up and he worked hard and look at him now. Simply, amazing! I hope you will react to Taemin's dance compilation videos. They really show why Taemin is called the Idol's Idol and so many are in awe of him. Oh, and I hope you will react to SuperM's Jopping. Taemin is apart of that group as well.
I couldn't stop tearing up during the first time it was posted and so depressed for weeks; I missed out seeing him LIVE. Everytime I hear these it I can't control the feeling of sorrow he feels.

One of my favorite performances of these songs. Taemin in concert is...a different beast altogether. This is from his solo Japan tour in 2020. If you want to see/hear him lose his shit, watch his concerts. No one's doing it like him, NO ONE. 😌

This was from his solo concert (Taemin Japan 1st Tour 'Sirius'), and it was performed near the end of the concert, so no rest at all. I highly recommend a full song Soldier performance from another of his solo concerts: "Off-sick on track".

Ohhhh and the car Live videos with Key and Taemin are hilarious! There are also some with the 4 of them in Lives and you really get to see the duality of their personalities. Taemin always comes across in concerts as sexy, in control, etc. But when you watch their Lives...Taemin is just a nut LOL and sometimes a bit clueless lol.

This the songs you can hear his emotions too because it was the first solo concert without Jjong so that’s why it’s even more emotional for us and HIM especially he showed the world that he is just a dancer. And he was vocally trained by Jjong and Onew because at the start he was called tone deaf but Jjong told him not to ever give up and he is showing the world that he is more than a pretty face.

Teamin and the other members went through a depressive phase after Jonghyung, passed away, one of the members of Shinee, he was his best friend. This song he wrote in that phase, and the song "Ander my Skin" was dedicated to him.
