actually most of the filipino singer they are not trained by voice coach but rather they are born talented in singing with good voice, powerful voice until they are discovered as a professional singer that is the time they are trained but in the case of Gary V. he come from a boys choral group from Ateneo called " Kundirana" which was professionally trained by a musical director and to mentioned a few from the same group was Ogie Alcasid, Randy Santiago and others. He is a composer, singer and producers as well.
i first saw gary v sing live when he helped his brother-in-law's campaign for president of our student council in uni. the thing that hit me is the realization that he sounds almost exactly the same live as when you listen to his recordings! note that there was no special equipment and all he had was an ordinary mike that everyone used for speeches.

I watched another channel with two American vocal coaches who listened to Gary sing Spain on the Wish Bus, and I was so shocked and appalled at how disrespectful they were while watching Gary. I guess I should be grateful that they killed their audio, so viewers couldn't hear what they were saying while watching him, but it was so obvious from their smirks, dismissive looks, and rolling eyes that they disapproved of how he was singing because it didn't line up with their understanding of how people should sing. The Hansons never stopped and are still touring (I think international not just in US) as a group and still releasing records. Hey Guys maybe it would interest you to know that Mr. Valenciano is very very sick. Several times he underwent major operation that no one expects he would still recover. But by the grace of God and his childlike faith in Him he recovered. Right now he is using his voice to bring the message of God's love and mercy to all who would draw themselves nearer to His God. His testimony is a classic witness to one and all that God is still in the business of touching lives to for a greater purpose of living.

When I saw you guys traveled to the Philippines and worked with some of the P-POP groups there, I knew y'all are legit. Even if the concert you were supposed to attend was postponed and your lost luggage, you made the best of the situation. I especially enjoy the banter in your videos and have learned quite a bit when you geek out about the production and technical aspects of music as well as the current state of the music industry in the US. Anyhow, great to see this reaction on Gary V. He's one of the icons in Philippine pop music, with a career beginning back in the 80's up to until now. These songs are actually covers of original songs by Stephen Curtis Chapman and Twila Paris, respectively. He did rearrange them and were included in his album "Revive" back in 2000 (and yes, that album came out as a CD; I also have an autographed copy of it). Anyway, he does have a unique style as a singer and performer. His head movements while singing that you mentioned are reminiscent of Al Jarreau, one of his self-professed musical influences. I've seen a lot of his concerts and shows back in the day and there are quite a few that have been uploaded on TH-cam (although the quality may not always be optimal). Actually, both songs are Christian Contemporary songs from the 1980s. The first one, “I Will Be Here” is by Steven Curtis Chapman, and second one, “The Warrior is a Child” is by Twila Paris.

I especially enjoy the banter in your videos and have learned quite a bit when you geek out about the production and technical aspects of music as well as the current state of the music industry in the US. Anyhow, great to see this reaction on Gary V. He's one of the icons in Philippine pop music, with a career beginning back in the 80's up to until now. These songs are actually covers of original songs by Stephen Curtis Chapman and Twila Paris, respectively. He did rearrange them and were included in his album "Revive" back in 2000 (and yes, that album came out as a CD; I also have an autographed copy of it). Anyway, he does have a unique style as a singer and performer. His head movements while singing that you mentioned are reminiscent of Al Jarreau, one of his self-professed musical influences. I've seen a lot of his concerts and shows back in the day and there are quite a few that have been uploaded on TH-cam (although the quality may not always be optimal). Actually, both songs are Christian Contemporary songs from the 1980s. The first one, “I Will Be Here” is by Steven Curtis Chapman, and second one, “The Warrior is a Child” is by Twila Paris.

He's one of the OGs. I think he's already in his 50s or 60s in here, but you can listen to all of his whole album non stop back in the day. If you're a male singer, youd wish to have his skill, not to mention that he has a very powerful voice but of course when you age, things change
