The ladies performed this at Tokyo Garden Theatre on Sept 1st and it was even more magical, with “real” snow falling across the stage. It was an amazing experience to be there and witness these incredible women performing their art so brilliantly!

Before the start of Frozen Serenade on September 1st, Asami asked us (about 8,000) to turn on our cellphone-lights and mosr complied.
What followed can only be described as magical and many in attendence (me included) were a crying mess out of pure joy.
AGREED, I was there with many audiences (includes you). It was not easy for wolfpack to come thru heavy rain right after the typhoon, but it was rewarded by incredible performance of the band. unforgettable night. 最高でした。

Great reaction guys. I'm glad you did this masterpiece song. The dancing by Asami with snow falling was perfect with Asami's many years of ballet dance training. The only thing I wish was different is that the guitar solo was longer before Asami comes back with lyrics. I agree Jimmy, M&M are the best guitar duo I ever seen in 40+ years of listening to rock and metal.

Has there ever been heavy metal music that moves your heart and moves you to tears? I don't think we could have created such a masterpiece unless we were a heavy metal band whose members include a classical pianist and a classical ballet dancer.
Asami trained in ballet for many years before becoming a singer. They played this, complete with snow, at last Sundays concert. It was so awesome. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

ASAMI studied ballet dancing from 5 yo. to high school (16 yo.), then she was told that she couldn't be a professional dancer because of her height (4'8"), so she began to study singing and went to US to study R&B, Jazz and Gospel...

The differences: studied ballet for 16 years & went to USA after high school to study Jazz & Hip-hop dance where she discovered her singing ability & sang US National Anthem at a sports event to much praise, returning to Japan to pursue Cabaret R&B/Soul singing & backup to major music acts until auditioning for LOVEBITES, her first "metal" experience.

Such a deeply-emotive song and performance! Those who are not touched by this beauty either have a heart of stone or no heart at all.
Because the album Electric Pentagram came out in winter, Asami wanted a sad winter ballad. Miyako played the acoustic guitar on the studio recording, but Live, Midori has to play it, because Miyako is busy on the piano! 🤘
Burden of Time is the song you’re looking for where Miyako plays both instruments at the same time.
This song is a genuine masterpiece, and we all knew what was coming when you reacted to it. Fun fact - on the album, Miyako plays the acoustic solo, and Midori had to learn it for the live show so that Miyako could play the piano! Yes, Asami is a ballerina she was training classical dance for many years. She is lately Miss Flamenco in her designed stylized "el vestido blanco con la rosa blanca en el pecho" in which she has been performing since June 2024. Miyako has been studying piano since she was 3 and if you watch the older version of Swan Song it starts with her playing a Chopin etude. Can I say mind blowing?

The first time I heard this and Midori came in with the acoustic guitar I had chills.
I like to draw attention to what Haruna is doing in the last section when Asami comes back in. She’s playing sextuplets on the double kick while alternating triplets and straight eights on the cymbals and on top of that placing the snare precisely on the offbeats. Mind blown!

Yes, these women are beyond belief. Some people say that they’re angels who came to planet Earth in order to save metal. This song is a true masterpiece that could’ve only been composed by Lovebites. "Burden of time" is a must-see to see Miyako's talent. I especially recommend the live studio version of this song. LOVEBITES has a stable reputation for being the best live. However, it is worth watching a few of the live studio songs they released around 2020-2021. This series, performed in a small studio without an audience, gives you the opportunity to see their outstanding instrumental playing in close-up. I especially recommend "Burden of time" and "Eagle Fly Free (HELLOWEEN cover)".

Frozen serenade is just spectacular. Asami did all of this with Mao (lyrics, music, arrangement). M & M add some of their magic as always. Miyako hit the spot with her classical elements... Miyako is so incredibly talented, a virtuoso and maestro for real. That piano playing while wearing her guitar like a necklace! And choosing that Spanish acoustic against it was a fine choice. Nice to see Asami getting to use her skills as a ballerina too, which she used to do before letting us hear her wonderful voice. This band is beyond perfection. I bet you have a nice playlist of their songs in the car by now!

Well another great Asami lyrics example, she is always positive and usually has an uplifting message within it. There is NOTHING this band can't perform especially LIVE and to do it this well, there are likely few bands that can match this group. Lovebites usually makes epic or masterpiece songs and here you have both all rapped into one great presentation. Here Midori goes "Miyako " on the acoustic guitar before she returns to her shred Queen status!!!! BTW, Miyako does the acoustic on the studio version. 1. This is a heavy metal band - you think Metallica, Maiden, Slayer, Priest pull this off - not on your life
2. Midori with her ESP still on her, plays the acoustic
3. Miyako, nearly 5mos pregnant with her strat(?) on her baby bump playing the emotional keys
4. Asami dancing like a elegant ballerina in front of a fairly large crowd - can't be easy

Asami writes most of the lyrics for their songs, sometimes with the help of Mao who is also from "LIGHTBRINGER"!!!!! Tears? Every time. How many true masterpieces are there in the history of rock? A dozen? Maybe twenty, max? I’m not talking about merely great songs. There may be a few hundred of those (out of millions of songs). A masterpiece is much more. It combines beautiful composition with brilliant execution. It tells a story, taking you through a range of emotions until it overwhelms you. For classical music fans, the iconic example is Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. The best example of something shorter and more comparable to a rock song, might be Ravel’s “Bolero”. Among actual rock songs, I would name “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles; “The End” by the Doors; “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen; “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin; “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes; “The Great Gig in the Sky” by Clare Torrey and Pink Floyd; “Starless” by King Crimson; “Ghost Love Score” by Nightwish, and perhaps a few more. Many of the greatest rock groups never produced a masterpiece. Lovebites, in their first five years (before the hiatus) gave us several, and we probably have many more to look forward to. I think this rivals “Swan Song” as their greatest, and this performance has to go down as a high point in rock history.
