A true masterpiece, showing just some of the talent of this band. While it is softer than their normal stuff, it gets me emotionally every time.
Thanks for your reaction! Asami's first passion (lead vocals) is classical ballet. She devoted about 16 years to classical ballet training. She started studying ballet when she was two years old. Asami's next hobby was dancing: hip-hop and jazz. And only after that Asami began to sing. Before joining LOVEBITES (2016), Asami was an R&B and Soul singer. I suggest you check out this beautiful ballad: LOVEBITES - 'Epilogue' ( 'Daughters of the Dawn-Live in Tokyo 2019')
The lyrics of 'A Frozen Serenade' and the 'Epilogue' are written by Asami. The music for these two songs was composed by Asami & Mao.

Our little Ballerina Asami, she studied ballet for 16 years and then they said she was too small (4'10"), she also came to the states and learned other styles of dance!!!!! The 3 E-Songs are a must!!!!! Thank you for what you do!!!!!!

The one song that truly showcases Asami's voice would be the "E" songs of Lovebites

Although more their typical heavier sound, Inspire really shows off her vocals as well. Especially the live version off of their Battle In The East DVD

Yes, this is another masterpiece by these amazing women and it showcases Asami’s vocals. In order to see their versatility I recommend “Edge of the world”, “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”, “Liar”, “Spellbound”, “Dancing with the devil” (all live)
I would also add in Inspire to the list of Asami's vocal show as well. The live version from Battle in The East shows it perfectly

Do the E songs... Epilogue, Edge of the world and Empty daydream.. 3 Epic Masterpieces which showcase Asami's vocals, and the band of course. The words are next level and hard to believe they are writen by a none English speaking band. Just shows we are all pretty similar and aspire to great things, no matter what language we speak.

Well, that was absolute perfection and a joy to watch. But enough about your reactions... this is a masterpiece of a song by this faultless band who are making the best Metal of the 21st century.
Not sure I would use the word "little" in connection with this song. I think it's one of their most majestic songs, and when you listen to it again you constantly hear more layers.

Another one of their masterpiece songs I have not seen a modern band that has all the members this talented and accomplished as Lovebites. Another song I recommend on the more mellow side like this is Edge of the World (Five of a Kind 21/02/2020)

GR8 reaction!!! I just subbed to your channel. I concur with the recommendations in some of the comments for doing the "E trilogy"; Edge of the World (Asami's vocals in it are just AMAZING), Epilouge and Empty Day Dream. But you also need to check out Swan Song with the Chopin intro from their 2020 live performance (don't do the 2023 live performance. It's still great but doesn't include the Chopin intro). And of course newer stuff like Judgement Day, Stand and Deliver, Soldier Stands Solitarily, Wicked Witch and Dissonance to name a few. Really like your channel and your reactions. One suggestion; when you resume a song after a pause, go back 10-15 seconds. That way you don't lose the continuity of the song. It just feels awkward picking up mid vocal line. @@boyzyu I know it's not the point, but what finally hit me about all this "LOVEBITES ARE THE BEST TO EVER PLAY THE GUITAR" stuff that people constantly comment on LOVEBITES reactions is . . . so? Who cares? I've had multiple reactors reply to me that they know it's just fanboy code for "they're my favorite," and it's not like being "the best" does anything for the band. I'm wondering if it's more of an ego thing for the commenters themselves, like they like LOVEBITES and so being a fan of LB somehow elevates the commenter in their own mind because they like "the best."

I also have quite a few reactors who absolutely agree with me that, for example, M&M are the best guitar duo today and one of the best in history, and this has nothing to do with being a so-called "fanboy" because being best can be measured given the relevant parameters. So what's your point again ? You might not "care" but others do. Blind spot much ? Let's just say that you are entitled to your skewed opinion, and the rest of us are entitled to ours.
@@boyzyu Maybe we did, I tend to forget what I’ve said on TH-cam a day or two after I’ve said it because it’s TH-cam. It’s hard for me to call anyone the best anything because, as someone else said, it’s a game without rules. Moreover, “best” is one of those words that people/companies can legally put in advertising precisely because it _can’t_ be proven. Lastly, you might call my opinion “skewed,” but my perspective comes from a lifetime of being around diverse music and high-level musicians of many genres and “best” is something I stopped worrying about when I turned 20 because I realized the pointlessness of making such declarations.

This is easily my favorite song of theirs and reminds me of another of my favorite songs, "Silent Lucidity" by Queensrÿche, in how both songs have a dreamy, foggy atmosphere at the beginning and build from there. If this song would have been released by a North American or European band in the 80s or early 90s, it would have at least been a top ten hit worldwide.
Sounds like you really need to react to "Epilogue". One of the three 'E' songs. You will eventually get to the other two. 'Empty Daydream' & 'Edge Of The World'
But Asami's soaring vocals in Epilogue will tear your heart asunder. Epilogue is a true Power Ballad. The best I've ever heard in all my 66 trips around the Sun.

If you love the voice Asami and are suckers for great vocals then you can't help but love Nightwish and the voice of GOAT vocalist Floor Jansen aka The Valkyrie Queen, this woman is not of this Earth. They are a Symphonic Metal band and I'm sure they will also blow you away. Now you have The Wolfpack on board you can have the Nightwish Army too, led by General Gabriel who will give you a complete back catalogue of their magnificent music if you react to them. There are so many great bands and songs in Japan that you missed out on. I think you need to spend at least a year exploring Japanese bands. I don’t know if anyone has recommended "Black Pentagram" (live) with Unlucky Morpheus. They are an incredible heavy metal band that includes a violinist, which sets them apart from the rest. The vocalist, Fuki, and the violinist, Jill, are two female powerhouses in the band. There are many more bands to recommend, but I go see this band the most. They have two lead guitarists, a lead violinist, a speed drummer, a solid bassist, and a powerful female voice. It’s a unique and lavish experience to see this band live. Enjoy🤘
