Im 42, a mum, and not really cool at all. Started break dancing classes three weeks ago. Never smiles, never laughed and never enjoyed doing something so much. Realised how weak/unfit I actually am but really want to get better at it. This is mint (as us Geordies say). Going to make this part of my daily practice. Thanks man
Thats freakin cool xD im also starting and looking up stuff if im too old for this. And im 21 too! But youre really encouraging me ! I hope we both run well!
Great tutorial! I’m trying to break again after 10 years, so basically I’m a beginner again. This is very helpful, since I dance on my own now and I’m not in a great shape anymore. Thank you for posting this!
It's an absolute pleasure! I know you messaged me quite some time ago but I hope you've gotten the chance to practice and train some more 😁 thanks for your comment!
I’m that kind of person who has not commented on any of the several thousands of videos I watched in the last decade. I really got to say this video is the most important asset a beginner bboy who has just started can get on TH-cam. I swear all other people are teaching so called beginner moves that a beginner can never do without first learning what you told the real basics. Until the body is not capable of doing something no matter how hard working you are it’s just not possible. I just want to say I love you and your channel because from where I come there’s not a single public place where one could learn all this so the best teacher I can get is you also new sub here yo 😋
It is not weird at all !!! It is amazing that youre into this. It is really rare and amazing when I bump into a bgirl and we start cyphering at the club ! \(^.^)/
been dancing for since 2008 and recently got back into the art after so many years of going to the gym and that feeling of being stiff is not great going into your 30s feel like i am getting more out of these work outs than doing weights thanks again. and feeling great after these exercises
I really want to come back to a real breakdance practice and this tutorial helps a lot that is so inspiring! This is exactly how my amazing bmasters taught me how to work efficiently. (Short out to bboy Laos and Bruce Wayne 😍) I will definetly include your video to my daily routine (plus the tracks and the 100 daily six steps!)
Thanks for your comment Sarah! Definitely get back to a breaking practice when you can! And for sure, shout out to Bruce Wayne and Laos! 100 6 steps daily is a good one, Love it! Hope this video helps you!
I have questions about this Tutorial: How many times at week i shuold do this exercises? What if I dance every day? I should make this exercises after training or give a break? And my last question: which typep of this exercises i should make? All of them?
djodak7 sorry for the delayed reply. If you're training breakin' everyday then it's best to train different things on different days. At least one rest day a week is advised. You have choices as to when, the really intense exercises you can perform after training but you'll require appropriate nutrition to recover so you can train again the next day. Personally I tend to do core and shoulder exercises in the mornings and will then train breakin' later on in the day then do intense exercises afterwards followed by a healthy meal or protein shake straight after. Core I feel it possible to train every day, shoulders on the other hand may require a rest. Hope this answers your questions, message me if you have any more 😉
djodak7 perform the exercises that fit your desired training goals. All will help yes but choose those that fit your future vision of the bboy you'd like to become 💪🏼

Ah brother! Thank you for your comment! I kinda wish I was around dancing in those times haha. I'll be posting a new brand new conditioning videos this week which I think you might like 👊💪
I've started doing hiphop but I never really gotten to breaking that much but I know its something that is good to learn especially with the upper body.
Those planks are wild. Not sure if I’m going to get back into dancing, but I’m definitely adding some of those to my strength training routine. Cheers!
yo brother, been following this for sit up and push ups since the start of the year, it's been dope and the transformation and strength i've built is dope. Hella appreciate you making this fam. Gonna follow your vids to learn how to break. good looking again brother.
i am 20 years old and i just star to get into bboying. your chanel motivates me to be better at breaking. curently im getting used to have a fluid flow at 3 & 6 steps, top-rock, indian step and the swipe. i can do freezes and im trying to learn the windmill even if somrtimes it gets really hard. Thank you for your video! they are really great
Suprr glad it hear that man! BJJ is something I've always wanted to get into. A crew member of mine has been doing it for some years now. Thanks for your comment! I'm gonna go to a session next weekend haha
Question; How long did it take you to reach your current skill level, and during that period, how intensely did you train? Edit; I mean the actual dance moves themselves, not physical strength. :)
It's hard to say in terms of time wise, as of 2018 been breakin' 14 years. You have to factor in the times I was injured, times I didn't have the correct information of 'how' to learn a move properly and of course the times when I'm training super intensely and the times I'm not. My crew ultimately were fast tracked in our beginnings. So we got good rather quick at the time. I'll make a full video on this story soon but the meat of is that we were trained by DJ Renegade & Storm (partly) to be the best crew in our country and represent the United Kingdom at an international level. So we've always had this format and crew culture of intense training at the heart of what our crew is about. I think it's fair to say very, very intense. Luckily in our beginnings we had Bboy's like Mouse (and many others, past and present) in our crew who were a huge part of our early development which has continued in the form of younger members who have taken the crew name ever further like Sunni and Terra. So we've always had this "must work hard because we ain't getting smoked." attiude in the beginning. More on this later in a video with some old footage I think. Mavericks has always been about training with a goal in mind "battles."
This is brilliant, thanks a bunch, Now I feel like I have strong fundamentals to work for and have a comfortable point to start from, otherwise trying moves without experience is super awkward and challenging ❤
I've been learning how to breakdance for a little over a year now but still difficult to do things. I never once considered conditioning; I'm definitely gonna be doing this everyday from now on.
Cool i'll try three points that you emphasized.!! I haven't done anything without push up before, but i think it will make my body move better! Thanks for your video!
Love it! It's very cool!! After I have watched this video, I started the training. And so I've just finished with the 5-minute plank challenge... I fallen once..but hard!!! Thanks for the video!! Peace:)

Dope! Happy to hear these conditionong exercises are useful across different disciplines. I started with taekwondo too, I believe it's what helps a lot with my power moves 🤙
I'm a young girl who recently gained an aspiration to learn how to break dance because of an alternate universe of a video-game I simply adore. That and I think the style in it of itself is very cool since it's free and not like other styles. So I thank you very much for this video so I can condition this lazy body into something I can break with :3. Though. I do have a question, I notice that there's an awful lot of floor work in the videos I've seen for breaking. Can you direct me to any sources where I can learn more steps for when I'm upright?
Good video sir. I have the perfect push would that work as well sir? Also do you need to lift weights as well sir? Fire Video!!!! Keep up the good work. Dude please don't delete this video.
