I lol’d when you mentioned PS3 because I am one of the few ancient beings (yes, we exist, all 6 of us) that still hunt for a decent third party controller that we can use as an alternative since an original, working Dualshock 3 is getting harder and harder to find in the wild. Gonna give this a shot. Hopefully the rumble works on PS3 this time! But as ive learned with these products they usually mean rumble but for PC/Steam only. Great review man!

Absolutely! For some reason I am fascinated by how brown and muddy the graphics were during this generation. Everything looks ass by today’s standards but I still find joy in playing it. PS3 is becoming an enthusiast machine and I’m here for it. As for the PSN almost shutting down, yeah that one sucks. Goes to show how valuable preservation really is. I’m not holding my breath for Sony to keep the service any longer so I’m gonna save to buy everything that I need. Oh and I got the controller! It is fantastic for its price and to my surprise the rumble works too! One thing tho, and you mentioned it on your review: D-Pad sucks!! I’m not going to recommend it if your primary games are 2-D side scrollers/platformers. Again, thanks! Wouldn’t have the courage to buy if it wasn’t for your review.
Does this have analogue/pressure sensitive triggers (not talking abt adaptive etc) ? Because I saw 3 axes (X,Y, and Z) on the Windows controller settings

@@BimBurger Well I got mine today, used it for half a day now. And I gotta day, it's a pretty solid controller for the price, bang for the buck. Triggers ARE analogue, and I personally didn't have any problems yet with the games not detecting the controller. The D-Pad is also fine on my unit, I don't have to press it hard, so it seems it may be a problem with your unit I suppose

Hey, BimBurger, can you tell us about the trigger input range? By this, I mean *how much travel does it need before it can send an input?* Because on the case of the Rexus GX100 controller, it takes half of the total trigger travel to be able to send an input. It becomes VERY FRUSTATING FOR RACING GAMES and ever since I knew about that, I sold the controller knowing I would race worst with it. Thank you!

This video is pretty good! I would recommend that you get a better mic though. At first it was pretty good but it became noticeably muffled when you dived into the review itself. But yeah, still great!!

Unfortunately, sports games are the only games I don't play. It's the one genre I don't mess with, but knowing what I know about this controller, this should work pretty well.

I think both are good for the price. I have a Redragon G808 review up as well. IIRC, I didn't like the G808 dpad so much, so I think I will recommend the WGP12 over the Redragon.

Don't get the GP12 - I have a review of that on my channel as well. I have to the Nyko Core as well, and it's okay but I'd say if your budget can allow it, get a second hand DualShock 4. However, just between those two, get the Nyko. But maybe you should consider the WGP12 as well.

I'm sorry I don't have an iPad to test it with. I can't say for certain. On the box, it just says compatible with PS3 and PC so, I can't confidently say that it would work on an iPad.

For GTA and Sekiro, you can get away with any controller, really, but for fighting games, I find that controllers with really good dpads and have a symmetrical design are great place to start. So, maybe the 8BitDo Pro 2 might be good.

Thinking of either picking this one up or the F310, my biggest factory is how accurate the sticks are. My current very bad XBOX 360 controller clone I have to push it about pretty far before it registers! do the sticks register immediately when pushed? and which one should I get for that reason alone? I've always been a fan of the Logitech F series but I admit it's been a while since I messed around with one. I do have an F710 coming soon, so I'll be able to make a review then. As for the WGP12, its accuracy is way better than it has any business to be for its price. Still not as good as a DualShock but pretty good still!
I want to ask, should I get this or just buy a Counterfeit DS4 controller that costs around the same price? I want to play games using a controller in my PC , mainly RPG and Sports games but would also try it in other games like GTA V Would also accept suggestions but my price range is only below 1K

Yes I believe so. Acceleration on vehicles ramps up nicely.

I wouldn't say there's a huge difference, no, but I do remember liking the feel of the analog sticks on the F310 slightly more.
Actually come to think of it, I would definitely say the F310 has a better stick than this.

Well, decent, yes but it's nowhere near the best. Best to probably get a DualShock 4, you can get one used on the cheap.
You should try GP13 and the upgraded version of WGP12.

Can confirm that it doesn't take much before input is recognized. Like I said in the video, the triggers are my favorite thing about this controller.

Yeah, analog triggers, you can use them for driving. Won't be the best experience, but it's totally usable.

I think Logitech controllers are generally better quality, but they're a little more expensive. The Redragon Harrow isn't great, IMO.

Yeah it does. It gets detected as an Xbox controller so anything that accepts xinput should be able to use it.

@@itzgoshen3046 I think the Nyko Core is a bit more polished but the plastic quality is just okay. I'd probably recommend the Nyko overall.

As far as I know, PC and PS3 only as per the box.

Well I kinda hate the F710. It's such an outdated design. I'd recommend the WGP12 over the F710 for sure.

I'm not sure what level of precision you're looking for so I'm not 100% sure if I could recommend this to you, but it does have analog triggers.

Origin, yes, jt should work. Origin detects Xinput controllers with no issue. 3-4 meters, no issue either. Next review, I'll demonstrate distance :)

That is such a common question. Just plug the usb cable into it. And the light should stop pulsing when full IIRC
Thinking of either picking this one up or the F310, my biggest factory is how accurate the sticks are. My current very bad XBOX 360 controller clone I have to push it about pretty far before it registers! do the sticks register immediately when pushed? and which one should I get for that reason alone? I've always been a fan of the Logitech F series but I admit it's been a while since I messed around with one. I do have an F710 coming soon, so I'll be able to make a review then.
As for the WGP12, its accuracy is way better than it has any business to be for its price. Still not as good as a DualShock but pretty good still!

It should work but sim games are usually best played with mouse and keyboard, but it should theoretically work.

I'd always recommend a mouse and keyboard for FPS, but this will work but probably not as good as a DualShock 4 or Xbox One controller

This would probably last longer than those bootleg DualShock 4s. Mine broke and now I just use it for parts.

I would image so, since it uses xinput. If it accepts an Xbox 360 controller, it'll accept this.

I just tried the controller on NBA 2K21 on the Epic Game Store launcher, and it works!

You know, I've been singing the praises of the Logitech controllers for a while but it seems like that was nostalgia talking. I recently got the F710 and there are a lot of things to hate about it.

I think the Logitech G310 is an overall better controller but it is showing its age. Both are plug and play.

if you're only connected to the wire that's its charging indicator, no full charge indicator though.

The Harrow straight up sucks compared go this one.
Okay that's harsh lol sorry. Anyway, the G808 is a serviceable controller but the WGP12 is almost a good controller.

From what I can tell, if the dongle isn't plugged in, it doesn't work. So let's say you're charging it and using it, you will take up two USB ports.
