I'm 67, I was never a big fan of Michael Jackson, or the Beatles, and until I found this young lady just over six years ago, I never listened to Amy Winehouse or Adele or a number of the other singers that Angelina covers. I do however go back and listen to the original artists with every cover she does, and I have NEVER listened to any that I liked better than Angelina's version. She sings with an emotion, or feeling or whatever it is, that just pulls you in and makes you live the song. I have a vinyl album collection of over 500, and I only listen to this young lady.

I thought MJ was cute when he was little, but I'm not a Pop fan. My music taste always centered more around the Rock of the late 60s and 70s or some of the newer (30 yrs ago) country. All my parents ever allowed in our house was old Country. Also later, with all the little kids he always had at his Neverland Ranch, I didn't find a lot appealing about him. Different people have different tastes, and he's not one I was ever a big fan of, whether he was "labeled" the King of Pop or not. Elvis was labeled "The King" also, but I wasn't a big fan of his. 🤷♂

I don't believe there is a star in this mother and daughter duo, they form a balanced duo of charm, sympathy and talent. One thing that catches my attention is the total control that Angelina has in her performances, whether due to the magnificent respiratory support or the musical knowledge she has. She gives what the melody needs, she never exaggerates.

Happy New Year. Just saw an emotional video performance by James Blunt singing 'Monsters' . Have you seen it? It's about a relationship between a son and his father, but it could also relate to a mother and daughter. It is quite emotional. I suggest you view it together in private. It would appear that the father is dying of kidney failure, and they are faced with mending bridges and decide to handle it in a MANLY WAY(?) I wonder how women would handle the same situation. Adele when she sings the song it comes out as clear, but firm with no verifications in the song, But when Angelina sings it she has a way of adding to the song with her raspy, breathy voice it is as if she is finessing the song, with the changes she makes with her voice. You get part of it with her strong belting voice in parts of it then you hear it is like she is whispering in the soft spots where she needs it to be. She has total control of her voice and uses it to make it into her song without trying to copy the original singers style, because she always has her own style to add to the song.

Always nice to see another person seeing and experiencing the real deal. Nothing fake, nothing diva-ish, just pure, humble, honest, loving genius. She has already raised millions of dollars for children's charities. All the profits she made from her book "Between Two Hearts", which she wrote at age 9 (and hence, became Norway's youngest published author), went to charity. I would be very surprised if Angelina will not be considered the GOAT before she is finished as an artist. She is simply TOO good NOT to IMO.

I don't believe there is a star in this mother and daughter duo, they form a balanced duo of charm, sympathy and talent. One thing that catches my attention is the total control that Angelina has in her performances, whether due to the magnificent respiratory support or the musical knowledge she has. Happy New Year. Just saw an emotional video performance by James Blunt singing 'Monsters' . Have you seen it? It's about a relationship between a son and his father, but it could also relate to a mother and daughter. It is quite emotional. I suggest you view it together in private. It would appear that the father is dying of kidney failure, and they are faced with mending bridges and decide to handle it in a MANLY WAY(?) I wonder how women would handle the same situation. I'm hoping you both have already seen it and are ok.

Adele when she sings the song it comes out as clear, but firm with no verifications in the song, But when Angelina sings it she has a way of adding to the song with her raspy, breathy voice it is as if she is finessing the song, with the changes she makes with her voice. You get part of it with her strong belting voice in parts of it then you hear it is like she is whispering in the soft spots where she needs it to be. She has total control of her voice and uses it to make it into her song without trying to copy the original singers style, because she always has her own style to add to the song.
I believe Angelina is a persofriend of the Crown Prince of Norway.
BTW, the piano player is the Grammy award winning chief of Republic Records Los Angeles studio.

It's worth noting that "I Have Nothing" is one of the most technically difficult songs to sing. Very, very few persons, adult or otherwise, can even come close to Whitney's masterpiece. At age 13, Angelina's vocalizations in adapting Whitney's song to her own style isn't better or worse than Whitney Houston's original. She is in fact on par with this great artist. If you had only one chance to hear a single Angelina Jordan song, this would be it.
