Ladies, remember she is known as the "Girl With 1000 Voices," so this is not her new voice, but is just one of her 1000 voices that she chose to use for this song. If you listen to a different song that she has sung recently you would hear a different voice. She can go breathy, smooth, raspy, whatever she wants, whenever she wants. Listen to the 20 different songs at her back-to-back concerts in Vegas at the end of Feb 2024 & you will hear many different voices on the same night. BTW, a capella is singing without any music backing, acoustic is singing with a single acoustic instrument backing her like piano or acoustic guitar.

Angelina's toolbox is vast, she can sing almost anything. That is the amount of skill she has, she covered so many artists and genres that she can tap to them whenever she likes. I say her knowledge and her learning is so much faster than a normal person. She's intelligent beyond her years, and when you are about to hear her sing say "which voice is she going to use today"?

Angelina did another version of the same song but dressed much more as a teenager (hoody, trainers) in an open air environment in Brick Lane, London. You should seek that one out & compare 👍🤗💖
Wonderful reaction, thank you girls.🤩 You freeze... you listen endlessly to her wonderful and powerful voice with her incredible low register and admiring her fantastic musical sensitivity, it seems impossible, but every song, simple or complex, that she rediscovers becomes a great new song. She is simply unique and with an incredible melodic perception. This rendition (not a cover for me) with one of the song's writers (Toby Gad) playing the piano, is absolutely healing for your soul, while the soft background accompaniment of the piano and cello give it a wonderful silky backdrop, until that moment wonderful whispered final phrase "...but you're just a boy".💛🧡❤
Keep in mind that Angelina is still only eighteen years old in this performance. She is still growing and evolving as an artist. Therefore, she has yet to hit her ceiling. It won’t be long before she receives the world wide recognition that she so rightfully deserves.

As good as this is, clear powerful and melodic, 'Bad Valentine is levels above this. I've been saying the same. I believe this is very much Angelina's signature voice but only one side of it. 'Bad Valentine' is levels above this and is also what I would call another signature side of Angelina's voice. Rough, gritty, powerful and in your face. Iconic actually! Mother, I usually agree with your comments on Angelina. I would disagree that she “found her voice” on this song. It’s an unusual voice for Angelina, but it’s one of the “girl-with-a-thousand-voices” voice. It’s definitely a more mature voice now, but Angelina just continues to show us different voice for different genres.
I think Angelina is most natural as a jazz singer. Her very recent live performance with Toby Gad shows another Angelina voice you’ve never heard-and it’s amazing. I'm sure you've been told this already, but she *just* dropped a different version of this song recorded during the same session as this music video, but featuring what appears to be the real audio captured in the church (as opposed to the studio track we are hearing here). It sounds less processed, but otherwise very similar (well… except that she slows it down and sings the opening verse a cappella). It's on her official channel.

Mom you are wrong here. Acapella means without instruments. It can be sung by any number of voices. Singing in groups as small as one are, solo-1 voice, duet-2 voices, trio-3 voices, quartet-4 voices. All of these can be sung acapella or with instruments.
