It really is but it lacks some suspence and excitement elements the og had. Though the ending is great. Zero is like many other anime. OG is in its own league.
I cant help but yell "Run Kurisu, run!". Thats how much I want her to be able to express her feelings completely. Dammit, I just want them to be together for real.
Puts into perspective how much we didn't see happen. While trying to save Mayuri is season 1, Okabe could've have been persisting at it for what amounts to years. Just over and over and over again.
That scene daru mentioned that the alpha line where Okabe came back as dream, that time that scene where Okabe didn't press the enter button but to listen to Kurisu which is suddenly Mayuri got heart attack. Thar is start of being sad of okabe . 🥺 Even beta line where kurisu is gone and mayuri is alive, and alpha line where kurisu is alice but mayuri is gone. In which beta or alpha he is still sad though...
Episode 8 of zero is still the heaviest episode of the entire saga for me. Just the most gutwrenching part of both shows combined in my opinion. Beats even mayuri getting creamed over and over again
The more i re-watch this series i more i fell in love with all these characters and story... it's just awesome...And i remember waiting 1 week for new ep of sg0 those felt like eternity 😂... it's truly a masterpiece

Okabe (alpha or beta?) From the original S;G series moved from the alpha (Mayuri death) line to beta (Kurisu death) and then to Steins; Gate (all is alive)? So Okabe from the original S;G which timeline was it from? Unless I mixed up something.

The Russian team succeeded in copying all Amadeus files from Brain Institute. That's the main difference between the two worldlines. The problem is that, in the anime, they put this weird story about Kurisu sending a message in order not to enter too quickly. But it does not make sense.
Charajeux the message is about kyouma's feelings for kurisu. In the earlier part of the Steins Gate series both the original and 0 shows how okabe is obsessed to kurisu. In short, it signifies that okabe should forget everything about her that will make him suffer in the other world line. Sorry for my bad english...
I know this has probably been commented before, but I have no clue why Kurisu would stop to check her mail and just enter regardless of anything, in my opinion it’s a little unnatural. Maybe she has a specific sound/vibration for mails from Okabe?
Huh, they ended on slightly different worldlines. SG EP23β is on 1.130205 and SG0 EP9 continues on 1.097302 This means that the continuing zero worldline is slightly further away from the first episode worldline than 23β
Hi so i might have the explanation to your question So here we see the steins gate 0 beta timeline to be 1.0973 but the steins gate beta timeline to be 1.1302 Now this is most probably because in steins gate 23beta episode we saw how okabe gave up on saving makise leading to the entire steins gate 0 -> he then transports back to the alpha timeline where he chose to save makise instead of mayuri->then sends a dmail to makise in the steins gate alpha timeline which makes her stop for a bit before entering ->the steins gate 0 okabe then goes back to his original 1.0973 timeline->he then send a dmail from the future to the mayuri of 1.1302 timeline to make okabe of the 1.1302 timeline go for the second time So in conclusion i can say that 1.1302 is the beta timeline where the okabe didnt experience the steins gate 0 and went straight to the steins gate timeline And 1.0973 is the beta timeline where the original okabe from the alpha timeline experienced the entirety of steins gate0 timeline which makes a complete loop of one okabe suffering till the steins gate 0 and from his experience guides mayuri to slap him some senses when he said he will not back From my perspective i think the steins gate 0 okabe is the original one and the okabe who reached the steins gate timeline only reached home there because the original okabe had to experience world war 3 so if you ask me the anime actually starts from episode 23beta-> then goes on to steins gate 0-> then steins gate 1-24 episode If you are a second or third time watcher the anime will make the most sense if tou watch it in this order

However the ending in steins;gate 0 where he save suzuha and mayuri is not. To sum it up steins;gate 0 is the beta world line where kirisu dies but steins;gate is the alpha world line where she survives as well as mayuri because he got past the 1% divergence barrier.

Ep22 was beta, Ep8 0 alpha. Even tho they're pretty the same, divergence meter will never be.
There are minor differences between those two worldlines. Regarding the hacking of Amadeus for example.
