Convert Vinyl Record Track to Digital File in 24bit/96khz | Using TASCAM 70DR | JVC QL F4 Turntable

My turntable has two sets of outputs (Phono Out and Line Out), one with the preamp and one without. Does it matter which one I use? Is it better to output from the record player instead of the external preamp or from the receiver?

Hi brother.. good question you asked.. the phono out is the purest and original audio signal which your needle picks from record. But it requires external phono stage amp to boost the audio signal. If you have external PCM WAV recorder that phono output will do the job. If you want to capture the audio in your computer that also requires phono stage amp to boost the signal so that your audio capture software records the exact signal which is coming from your turntable. But you can try without phono stage amp to capture the audio in your computer, may be your software can boost the signal for you. If any issues occurs pls connect with me brother. Thanks

@@AVMAXAMAZE I have an external preamp, that I use instead of the built in record player's preamp. The external preamp then goes into my receiver.
I am thinking of outputting the rca to xlr from the external preamp, directly into a handheld Zoom audio recorder, which records on an SD card. The preamp has a gain, and it will light up if it starts clipping. I'm thinking this would be the best way to send the signal and record.
