Dead cells probably has the best free post-launch game support ever. Never seen a game that just keeps getting better, flawlessly

I'd definitely have to disagree and say Terraria and Path of Exile are absolutely at the top of them all. Minecraft probably but i don't know much about that game. Vampire Survivors, No Man's Sky, damn that game got so much content.. all for free. now one could say a lot of it should been in at launch, yes maybe.
Most of Dead Cells content is in paid DLCs and the free stuff is just ok i'd say. while other devs just keep on giving for free..
I gotta say No Man's Sky is also incredible,
That game gets consistent, DLC-sized, free updates.

No Mans Sky gives out free updates because of their failure that they made when the game launched. Terreria is I suppose okay but I personally had a really boring experience and PoE is a free game so paid DLC would literally be a bad move

Only 3 months. Updates come every 3 months. Playdigious need to release clean cut and after 3 month they need to release this one. They said castlevania was big so they cant take a bit long but still.

@@jarretirish7281 they changed all affixes before castlevania. Playdigious admin said they need to rest a while after releasing castlevanie bc its very big update. I think start of next month they gonna release clean cut then 3 months later start of november they gonna release end is near.

If I remember correctly, for those who don't know, a Misericorde (A name derived from the Spanish word Misericordia, or "Mercy", pronounced as Miss-air-ree-cor-dya) is actually a dagger, with an almost needle like blade, used to kill still alive, but gravely wounded soldiers after a battle to put them out of their misery, so the effect is pretty apt.
I'm not sure why the weapon in Dead Cells is a hammer and chisel, but if I had to guess, it's because we have a fair few types of daggers already in the game, and killing enemies with a hammer and chisel is both metal as hell, and unimpeachable in its badassery.
it's also a French word pretty close to the word "mercy" but with a little bit of a "divine" tone added to it. and devs are French so it must be why
also, anathema translate in French into Anathème and also carry a religious tone (it's basically when someone get excluded from a cult) and I think indulgence have the same meaning both in french and English. I love how they added lore to the curse. Now it looks like something coming from a cult seeing the new monsters and names related to it.
I think the reason is a hammer and chisel is because in japan, is believed that nailing a straw doll with a hammer will curse a person with illness and injury
well its a hammer and nail, which gives crucifixion vibes, but also cuz a hammer adds some umph the attack
It is also a brazillian word, the only difference is the accent: "misericórdia"
Misericorde pronunciation is Mi-zeri-kord. It’s supposed to be a long narrow knife for quick painless deaths. The name translates to “the mercy stroke” which makes sense because it was used to kill people already near death who wanted to be put out of their misery.
Bro infinite flasks with cure on demand has so many possibilities
Imagine if cursed sword changed from always being cursed to just having an increasing damage boost depending on the boost. Then the gameplay would be finding ways to build your curse up for damage. (kind of like how the syringe you try to build your cell count up)

I was very scared initially with the new enemies but after hearing all that the devs are adding I'm super hyped for this update!
I am hyped for weapons like Misericorde that serve more of a secondary role hope we get more of them.

The thing I love mot about the update is how they are working player interactions into the curse system instead of just having cursed setpieces the player runs into.
This update really shows the potential of the curse system and I hope they keep expanding it a bit after what's shown is released.
Yay for more Dead Cells content, but I'm so close to having a 100% file, but more stuff once the update comes out.
Side Note: I feel like they could have made an achievement for doing a boss rush with all 12 bosses and possibly have Mr Spoiler Boss be included for it on 5BC and call the achievement "The Ultimate Showdown" or something like that.
This probably won't happen but it would be cool.
Can't wait!! Love seeing more Dead Cells content. I keep hoping for some kind of crossover with Nier: Automota because of the portrait in the castle.

I can see alienation synergies being so good, also acceptance has a use now
Very excited, though the ominous title is spooky for sure.
With the routing changes, I wish they added a path from ancient sewers to mama tick, or some way to fight mama tick in general if you go to toxic sewers. Your first decision in the game is based on your early build which can change very quickly, so I'd like to see toxic sewers lead to mama tick to give more options if you take that route.
Cursed sword + corrupted power + taunt + tainted flask + cursed flask + extended healing = the highest damage boost on demand with the highest dps independent melee weapon in the game
or
Emergency triage + cursed flask + the strongest turrets you can get = spammable invincibility on heal while your turrets kill everything for you

I'm not a fan of the new enemies. Curse was a fun mechanic imo due to it being a risk you can *choose* to take in order to get stronger. Risk reward. Having monsters just randomly give you curse just isn't appealing. There's no reward just risk.
Imagine having one of them pop up right in the end of a biome before a boss. Just sounds like feels bad rage fuel.
The recent update notes mention that there will be cursed biomes, like incentivized biomes. So you have to choose to encounter cursed enemies with the reward of stronger loot.
20 curse that I can use to buff my holy light attack. Sounds good to me

Cant you just use death vigor with cursed flask and be basically unkillable, you die to curse, heal back up, die again, heal back up. Provided you find an enemy to kill every time
I figured it out. Damed vigor plus indulgence plus cursed flask
if you are between levels, take infinite flasks (lets say you are at 0 flask) and you have inifnite of them, you heal max hp and then get rid of the mutation will it recover your flasks? or is this mutation like wish or yolo and it stays?

yeah taking cursed flask + triage just gives you infinite invincibility, so they might want to patch that..

Not a huge fan of all the curse stuff tbh… always thought curses were a fine optional risk/reward take, but this makes it seem like cursed will be an inevitable part of a run you can’t plan for.
If this is the design philosophy they’re going for I dunno about it

so earlier I played dead cells and I was in the bank and I my coins are short to get out of the bank, and I broke the vault door after offering 2,000 coins only and it gave me 90 curses ;-;

I think i already have an exploit for infinite money. If you use cursed flask with damned vigor and midas' blood and you get hit, activate damned vigor you lose all your health which gives you money, and then since cursed flask gives infinite heals technically you get infinite money.
Combining the infinite flask charges that give you curses with the 2% damage buff from every curse will destroy the game
combining infinite flasks with the weapon that fires multiple beams is OP you shoot like 20 beams and need only kill 7 for a free heal

You may have one of the other 2 fonts on (Arial or Dyslexic friendly). I prefer those font's but unfortunately bigger Combo is only on default font I think.
@@Veedotme nope i tried all three fonts, i tried to change the font size in the accessibility settings i even changed the LANGUAGE BUT NOTHING CHANGE, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, none of the in-game settings do anything
