I found underground hip hop of the 90s from “Nikola” I believe. If you’re into golden age of hip hop from the east, great tracks from the underground of big stars and artists you didn’t hear of.

Really puts into perspective how far advanced Led Zeppelin was when they came out in '69. Light My Fire and All Along The Watch Tower were hard stuff too, but Whole Lotta Love was like absolutely NOTHING anyone had ever heard before. They completely turned rock n roll inside out bringing in heavy blues and soul with the hardest guitars and drums anyone ever heard at that point. Really amazing what they did.

I'm a huge fan of the Floyd but, in 1979, I would have chose Message in a bottle by The Police, which is more "rock". (and yes, Comfortably numb is a masterpiece).
Academically, scholars cite 2010 as the year Rock died, and the last minute and a half of this video supports that. It had a great run from 1955-1995 and ran on fumes for a bit after that but we cant argue that rock is dead and bands nowadays are just parading its corpse around.
Rock never died those scholars clearly haven’t been paying attention and neither have you. It will never die even if it’s not as popular as it used to be. Academically, scholars cite 2010 as the year Rock died, and the last minute and a half of this video supports that. It had a great run from 1955-1995 and ran on fumes for a bit after that but we cant argue that rock is dead and bands nowadays are just parading its corpse around.
