Fisheries have done a study on the mangroves in the shire. They recon they are dying off because of too much rain the past couple of years. Chuck lures off Jibbon beach for bream, top water over Mainbar ,but best place to bait fish is the mouth of SW arm.
I love that you're getting into the lures! I just posted a vid at one of your fav spots near Kurnell, and I used a hardbody lure that cleaned up. Would recommend you add it to your tackle box come spring
I was in Kurnell on Thursday and didn’t get a single bite. Today,Wednesday in Mosman ,nothing happened either . I don’t know what’s going on with the fishing

Thats just the way it goes sometimes…I have couple good sessions then maybe 3 bad ones especially in winter ! Keep casting and they eventually come
Try not to look down if prone to seasickness.plenty gd spots around the hacking for plastics
