- Ahoy legends! This week I head out chasing summer pelagics and testing some new lures! This new lure changed the game! What a day!
I managed to catch a huge variety of fish and headed home early with a full bag! It doesn't get better then that!

I know this all happened in one day and triple hookups don't come by that often, but I still reckon the most epic thing you have done, is catch a black, blue, striped marlin and a sailfish solo, in the one calendar year.
Very proud of the effort you put into that, and finally pulling it off.

Nice video . FYI, as you brought up the safety lanyard issue when trolling. I also have this issue and Santa was nice and delivered a wireless saftety lanyard for Christmas. a Fell Marine MOB+ system. Install parallel to the existing lanyard kill switch. . You wear the FOB as a watch or clip it on your vest. If you hit the water it stops the motor. I used it every day since getting it. So far so good. Love the videos. Good work .

Looks very similar to the Grassy Sweetlip we catch here in Central Queensland and they are not bad on the taste buds as far as I'm concerned. Some self proclaimed conoseurs poo poo them, I do not.

I think its great you emphasize the importance of safety gear epirbs ,pfd ect i have a rule on my boat you wear a P.F.D at all times if you cant oblige please step ashore as i dont want to be the one who goes and tells your family you aint coming home , i envy you blokes in qld sucjh good fish in the tropics and sub tropics take care .

FYI there’s a heap of awesome sea gar at a certain island in the bay. The one you do to a banana. That in itself would be an interesting ep. I’ve been having a ball bait collecting.

That's an old garfish troll jig, have been around since I was kid. They work a treat.

hello my friend i really like the trolling and jigging sessions much more than the lakes and other stuff. i would like to ask u 2 questions my friend i start trolling cause of ur videos and i figuree out that is better at summer months for that technique from ur videos. i want to ask u about how much far did u let the lures and about how many knots u cruising the lures ? thanx and much love and big hello from greece!! btw i had some bites but i didnt catch the fish it was about 100m away of boat and the speed was like 6.5 to 7 knots. i d love ur advice !

Not sure how available they are here but have seen them mentioned on the qualified captain page that guys are using wireless kill switches in the states. If you go over engine gets killed as soon as its outside a certain distance.
Yeah I’ve looked into them before. No one really does them here unfortunately!

Hey Sammy! Great video but I’ve been interested in getting a fish on stickbaits. I can’t seem to get any bites although it seems like the mahi are all over yours. Any tips or lures?
Hey mate, they can be very hit and miss on the stickbaits, as you can imagine they see a fair few of them!
I use a few different types, Zerek Zapplin 140mm, 160mm Maria rerise and some sinking ones. I try to work them quite quickly. Seems to work well from time to time 👍👍

I love your keel weighted sea witch lures and have purchased a few from your website. Could you please go over your trolling speeds for them rigged with gar and or with strip baits. Basically your trolling speeds all together I guess really. Your top waters and your deep divers.

That was my dad and I in the black boat when you were trailing past for dolphin fish. I got a 1.1m Dolly, doesn't compare to your monster though!

Depends on a fair few things to be honest mate. Have converted plenty but also lost plenty as well. Sharks are the main problem 😤😤

It’s a bit of a catch 22, if you don’t show a bit of exciting stuff at the start some people don’t watch, but it you do it can be a bit of a spoiler. I try to never show what gets caught landed and still keep plenty hidden so there’s suspense through the video 👌👌
