Mini twist vs mini braids.
It’s mini braids for me!♥️
Twist unravels or tends to lock my hair.
If it works for you my sister, that all matters. As for me I will choose mini braids over twist, even though it takes longer to take it down but I love it. When it comes to mini twists, it locks my hair and causes me breakage . Every protective style have their pros and cons.

Keep your hair moisturised.
I do a mixture of both. Braid for the first inch. Keeps the base looking fresh. Then twist the rest of the hair. Easier to take down.

First of all for mini twist
Pros
Easily to take done
Fast to do etc. But if not properly done it is hazardous
Cons
-Can loc easily and gets old quickly.
-Needs to retwist it often.
-Easily loses moisture for high porocity people like me .
-Easily loses shine. etc
How to maintain to
Moisturizer more often than braids eg every two days max three days
Most importantly moisturize before you takedown to avoid breakages and more to the ends
For braids
Pros
-Does not get old easily and Does not loc easily.
-Maintains shine longer than twist.
-Maintains moisture much more than twist like 3days, max 4days, moisturize more to the ends
Cons
Long to do
Long to take down.
Pls moisturize before take down for both styles, to the end of braids more moisture, pls twist the ends for it to not breaking.But if not properly done it will be hazardous
This is all my own advices from doing both hair for years, pls how to know what sue you is to check the cons and the pros of each style and know which you can tolerate more eg I love hair that I don't need to moisturize soooooo much so I go for braids.some one else can go for twist because they love to moisturize more often that's is so beautiful any thing that you like .

I swore up and down mini twist for life until i installed mini braids. I was able to get through a whole month. Usually with twist im done in two weeks. Summer time coming up and mini braids for the win. They wont unravel when i go swimming. :)

@@WLHMCALLNATURAL I prefer mini braids because I tend to keep them longer but I don’t like taking them down 😩
I find that it depends on your hair density and strands. I like to do small to medium size braids. I braid about 70% down and this two strand twist the hair so the take down is actually not that bad. If you have fine hair you will probably need larger sections. The smaller my parts the more my hair would tangle.

My strands are fine and the best twist for me is medium twist which grows my hair. I also re-moisturize my hair when I re-twist my hair. My hair loves the LCO method. God bless you!
Yeah when the strands are fine it’s a bit difficult when taking it down.
Put hair grease on the ends of your hair .It’ll stop the knots.

I don't think there's anything wrong with mini braids especially when comparing them to mini twists.i love mini braids.
I think twist will win. I have started my hair growth journey myself. My hair loves the twist. It grows super fast and I drink a lot of water and massage my scalp 2 sometimes 3 times a day but I do a medium twist, not a mini twist, my hair doesn't like that
You cannot stay in mini-braids for 3 months. They must be re-done every 6-8 weeks and the edges have to be redone every 4 weeks. Keeping your ends trimmed will also help keep knots at bay.
You can stay with mini-braids for 3 months without rebraiding.
I love them but someone have to put them in for me and take them down again that's were my mother comes in

No Not at all. The braids dosent lock at all
I use mini braids and my sis exclusively uses mini twists. She retwists alot, but it stays done for the most part. Mine will unravel :(

There is no dark side to mini braids lol you just don't know how to take them down. Hydrate your hair with water, add leave in conditioner then boom easy to take down.
You must keep your hair moisturized for it not to break

You are detangling dry hair that's why there is a lot of breakage, akaa😂
They are keeping mini-braids in for too long without re-doing them. Mini braids have to be re-braided every 6 - 8 weeks and the edges and back have to be rebraided every 4 weeks or so.

There’s nothing wrong with mini breeds, just don’t do them too small. I would say, medium braids would be better.
