To reduce the chance of contamination of the brake shoes I use a half inch brush to paint grease on, rather than spraying liquid grease from a can.
Yes, copper grease can react chemically with an aluminum wheel. Therefore, if copper grease is used on aluminum surfaces, it is necessary to monitor operating conditions and regularly check the condition of parts to avoid undesirable consequences. More precisely, what lubricant is recommended to use should be found in the technical documentation for repairing your car.

And also if only changing the shoes as the headline says you’ll need to grind the drum on its inner outer side to remove the little edge that’s left where the old shoes has not worn the drum down. My suggestion, look for another tutorial for this task if you want to succeed.
