I bought a Chair One when they first came to market and I still use it. I had to replace the material as it got blown into a fire but it’s a great product. Plenty crappy Chinese knock offs around now though.

I bought one of the Chinese knockoffs for review purposes and love the quality of Helinox products. They are expensive, but to me, they're worth it.
Could you use the tabletop as a tray (without the legs… i.e., put it across chair arms)?
No, the lake structure is what makes it rigid.
