After two months with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, I'm convinced: it's the best foldable phone on the market. It's not just about one feature - it's the entire package that makes this phone stand out. In this video, I'll share my in-depth review, covering everything from the stunning display to the powerful performance and unique foldable experience. If you're considering a foldable phone, this video is a must-watch!

Finally, someone has realized how important foldable software and multitasking are. Reviewers are too focused on the outer display and the cameras.
Seriously now. I don't give a damn about cameras. I consider buying this phone for that inner display, multitasking and general internet/media consumption. All of the reviews I've seen telling about how cameras are the same for 3 generations.
@@andrzejwojciech3840 OnePlus "Open Canvas" blows Samsung out the water for multitasking. Where it falls to Samsung is in wireless charging and DEX. Everything else, it easily beats the Fold. Better cameras, more storage, faster wired charging, bigger battery and lower price.
@@jimmcnevin9367 Device itself is not the only thing to consider when buying. OnePlus fold is not available in my country and even if I wanted to export, I will have difficult time later on with services and customer support if needed. And trust me, all thise features beating one another are the things %90 people will not be using.
For me the Honor Magic V3 is the best and I have the fold 6 too.
@jimmcnevin9367 I prefer the multi tasking experience on the Fold over the Open actually.
Im watching this video on my fold 6, and Im loving it. The front screen has been widened just a bit. Honestly, it's not groundbreaking but much easier for texting and swiping as i preciously owned a fold 4. I am agreeable and open to having a wider screen, but I am satisfied with this phone and its capabilities; camera is ok for me, videos, speed, multitasking. It is solid enough for me. Im loving it thus far.
No other company has trade in values better than Samsung. 1,000 for my Fold 4 with 200 more off was insane.
Yea $1000 off my fold 4 was pretty good
i just trade my z fold 4 yesterday they had a promotion for like a day for the z fold 6 512gb after taxes 700
Here in the UK, Samsung offers £330 for a Fold 4 and deals as a whole are far less appealing. To purchase a 1TB Fold 6 here would cost £2099 since I don't want to trade anything in. I am considering an Honor Magic V3 but the fact that they don't have a 1TB Global version is off putting.
@@fooey1 the 1t. Pink color was $853 off plus the trade but was out of stock when I went to buy it was crazy deal's the other day
Good deals are US only.
Shift from 15 Promax to fold 6 and i love it
What about iMessage?
I did the same, and i message is useless, doesnt make a difference@@joell927
I've had my ZFold6 for a couple weeks now... upgrade from a Note10+ ... I've been around a while. Worked at AOL in the late 90s as a software tech. I have to say that I think Samsung is the best & I'm always in awe of the progress that has been made. Having a phone with so much power & capabilities ❤ I've never complained about any of my phones because I remember when ... no phones and laggy 486s with 4 mb of RAM 😂And I stick with Samsung...I upgraded mostly because I'm getting old and wanted the bigger screen 😂 everything else is new to me too because my Note10+ hadn't been updated in forever so I'm loving this phone! No complaints! ❤
Have you owned any of the iPhones in the past 5 years? If so, what do you think of iPhone vs Samsung?
@potatoes1234 I only owned one in 2011... I had experience with Apple when I worked at AOL... had an iPad also in 2011... Switched to Android in 2012 & always Samsung.
One thing about the Samsung folds many reviewers overlook is the ability to have 2 different home screens. My cover screen is setup for candybar single hand usage. My inner screen is setup as a mini tablet. I don’t believe anyone else does this.
Same! I have mine setup that same way. I love it
Thanks Mark! You are one of those RARE tech tuber gems out there that takes a practical and real-world approach to analyzing design philosophy vs others who only care about outer screen, weight, and other specs. I love my Z Fold 6 and am so glad I got it when I did instead of waiting for the others that have come out since. Great job!
This is one of the best videos about the zfold6 and the main reason that I upgraded from the zfold4. The thought about the pixel for a brief moment but none of the other folds can match it.
I have a ZF5, completely satisfied with the 1 year usage, and the many ways I have and continue using this phone for personal and business use, no other phone would/could provide what my ZF5 has,.... ever. In fact, I'm expecting my replacement ZF6 coming this Wed, for which I trade my current ZF5 and I was happy to get discounts and finally paid only $550 for the new ZF6 with Samsung cover. I know that I will continue using it for a lot of things, editing video for Real Estate, I use Canva, Capcut, InShot, and also editing pictures with the stock Gallery or Google Photos. Multitasking, and using DEX almost everyday while working with Real Estate clients. It is absolutely not only a phone, but a movile device that has no compare. Thanks again for such a great review.
Correction: Mobile (not mobile)... And I am just writing from my new ZF6, and loving it already.
I've always had Samsung Ultras and this Fold 6 is my first folding phone. I love this thing. I have an S24 as my work phone and since I've been using the Fold 6, the S24 seems too wide for my liking. I hate using the S24 now 😂😂😂 . The front narrower screen is a good thing, you just have to try it.
I switched over from my iPhone 14 Pro Max to the Fold 6 upon release, and I absolutely love it! The narrow front screen is large enough to enjoy it as a standard phone, but also easy to hold and navigate with one hand. It handles games and apps like a champ, even if you decide you want to play multiple games at once. The phone has adapted to me and my habits as well, which is a nice plus. Overall, it's been a great experience and I can't wait to explore more as time goes on.
I agree with you 100%
Finally, a reviewer who has done justice to the fold 6!
Great video, and I agree with everything you said. Watched from my zf6 (navy) and I love it
Most of my life on iphone and im 2 days in on my fold 6 and i love it. Only thing i do not like is the battery and that might be, because im coming from an iphone 15 pro max. I got spoiled. Went with it due to the sharp corners and the fact the i personally feel samsungs software is great. Camera isnt terrible. My iphone was better but honestly the camera isnt bad. I think it takes oretty good photos
I've got the Fold 5, very similar, but I love it so much. The ecosystem with my giant Ultra S8 tablet is amazing.
Had mine a week and absolutely love it. An amazing phone
Do you know if the torras case works with magsafe charging?
they do! :)
Completely agree. Love mine. Best cameras? Maybe not, but only when subjectively you compare; day to day life, they are great! Biggest outer display? No. Do I wish it was a little larger? Sure. But I'm already hearing from folks with Pixel Pro Fold and OP Open that because outer display is large, they hardly open it; then what's the point of having a folding phone? That is after all what Samsung has said from the beginning and why they're so slow to make any major size changes. Pen, Dex, multitasking, trade-in, overall experience, durability, etc. - overall to me this is the best folding phone out there.
I also like the form factor.. Front screen isn't too big and gives purpose to the inside screen.
I'm watching this on my Z Fold 6 that I got three weeks ago, and I couldn't agree more. I was a bit skeptical before I got it, but it proved me wrong. I love it. The only thing that bothers me is that the front camera, under the display, is terrible. I'd rather have the round cutout that I'm used to than an invisible camera I can barely use. Apart from that, this is easily the best phone I've had.
I am using fold 6.
I currently have the fold 3 and just order the 6 and it just shipped. The fold3 has been great until recently when the speakers went of the the warranty expired. I hate spending so much on another fold but I love all the features and full web pages with easy tab options that I can't see myself going back to a "normal" phone. Here's hoping it won't have any issues down the road 😅
Watching this now. As of yesterday afternoon I ordered a 256gb crafted black fold 6 and after discounts and trade ins I paid $497 plus tax. Pretty nuts. Have the Book 4 ultra with the ultra 9 and 4070 so I opted for a lower storage phone since I can unload files via quick share. Phones arriving today and can't wait to get it!
I love the fold i traded in my s24 ultra for it with np regrets!!!
i own f6 and loving it and totally agree with you!
Do you have the 1tb or 512gb fold?
I currently have the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, the OnePlus Open, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, the Honor Magic V3. I also Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the Samsung S23 Ultra. I have also previously owned the Samsung Z Fold 4 & 5, as well as most Samsung devices since the S3 and the Note 3. That's how.
Watching this on my Fold 3,will be getting the Fold 6!
My mobile is paid off near end of year, then planning on taking promo for the Fold6 ^^ Cheers for review
Samsung Dex is so underrated, I swear. I thought the outter display would be a little too narrow, but I had 15 days to decide, so I got it. I actually feel in love with this phone and I've actually gotten use to the outter display and kinda like the smaller, narrower form factor. I did not think I would be saying that when I 1st purchased it a few weeks ago.
My daily driver is the OnePlus Open but my bedtime foldable (I'm in bed. Done for the night.) is the fold 6. It's great for virtually everything except its camera. I'm sorry, but I just like the Open's photos far more but the fold 6 is a great kindle/gaming foldable. I'll drive it once in a while and love it until I have to use its camera and then back to the open my sim card goes. Glad you love it though!
Which one do you use on the toilet?
@@rogue350 iPhone 15 pro max. Shit phone so it might as well match the theme lol.
Really, that's the one reason the OnePlus open can never be my daily driver the pictures are terrible! I hate my fold 6 too, way too narrow and sharp. I definitely made a mistake by buying the fold 6. I like the Pixel 9 fold way better than any of them I hate that it doesn't have a 1tb option.
Dam you got money.
@@Nestle245 ehhhh...just good with it. Lol.
Loving my Z Fold 6. However the thing that's bugging me is theres no night mode on snapchat. Yet my fold 4 had it where you could do night photos with the snap cam. Why is this?
I agree with you. I had the OG pixel fold and loved it. But this z fold 6 is another level. With the trade in value, Samsung won me as a customer.
Great review thanks for sharing❤
Just ordered mine today. Got the crafted black for $469 brand new from Samsung shop app.
It's honestly an amazing deal, and cannot be beat. I sold my Pixel 9 Pro Fold today and bought me a new ZF6. Off the bat I can tell the software is much better and smoother. Camera is probably a bit inferior but this phone is really more polished.
It comes natively with 512 for less than the Z Fold's 256. It also has better cameras and for it's multitasking, you can open three apps side by side or two apps in spit screen with a full sized app either above or below. Plus then you could also open a floating screen on a screen that is larger than what the Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers. The Z Fold 6 measures 7.6 diagonally, whereas, The Open measures 7.82 inches.
Don't use magsafe if you want to use Spen. It messes up the digitizer and after long enough usage the pen will always be off even when you stop using the magsafe. It's a cool feature but doesn't work well with S-pens
My biggest concern is the fold itself. I have to send my fold 4 in to have the screen replaced. This will be the second time this has happened. Why is the price still so high?
Waiting for black Friday to get one. Hopefully they have huge deals on it.
Correction about the S-Pen:
The Fold version of the pen is only a stylus without Bluetooth functionality like the Ultra phones. You also need to use the Fold specific version of the S-Pen on the Fold.
The $100 for the S-Pen Pro will have Bluetooth functionality and can be used on all S-Pen compatible devices.
Great Review. Just like the S10 back then this is another Gem from Samsung that folds
Just a clarification, the fold does not support the bluetooth functions via the FOLD EDITION S PENS, only the S pen PRO, which is big!
After staying away from android since like 2014 I switch from iPhone to the fold 6 and I'm not looking back haha way easier of a transition than it seems.
Mark!!! Long time no see buddy. 😂😊 Keep doing ya thang bro. Been watching since day one
Best phone ive owned. I moved over from an iphone 15 pro max and have zero regrets. Been in the apple ecosystem for the last 10 years too. These folding devices are the futute of mobile computing and samsung is quietly leading the charge. Software is the futute
Nice, I’m also looking to switch from iPhone, but am a bit skeptical. How’s the crease holding up for u? And how do u use the alternative for iTunes?
Actually all folding phones do it. OnePlus with Open Canvas does it best. You can either choose 3 apps running side by side or 2 apps in split screen with a full screen app either above or below the split screen. Most others will run split screen with the ability two open 1-2 more floating windows, making 3-4 apps open at once for multitasking.
Between Pixel 9 Fold and Z Fold 6- Which fold has better fluid animations?
The deals are still there, right now my s24 ultra trade in value is 1200. I didnt even pay 1200 for the ultra. I picked it up on sale with trade in for about 450. The price without trade in on sale was like 1000. So the fact i can get MORE than the phones value let alone waht i paid for it is insane. Im very tempted to grab this device, as with the sale/trade in its 500 bucks
Love it!
Using multiple apps is so useful when it comes time to pay bills and you don't want to write down the banking information from another app and copy & paste is not an option
Nice review... one to share to everyone. Also, about being worried about 'expensive and fragile'... but the general public goes and pays $1300 or more for an iPhone that as soon as it drops.... well.. you know it. LOL.
What widget is on the front cover with the picture
Watching Lost on my z fold 6 and I love it!
Ive been usingthe Fold 6 for about a week. I traded my Fold 5 and got a better deal on this six with double storage than when they did the preorder promotions.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this phone
Im enjoying my Z fold 6
great review keep up with ur fantastic videos, love my z fold 6 ,coming from s24 ultra, I love the compact size and build quality front screen is the perfect size for me and brilliant software.
Those are usually problems that have been ironed out long ago. However, there are many other foldables that are better and less expensive too, such as the Honor Magic V3 and the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. Both of these phones have bigger batteries, are thinner, have less if a crease and better cameras, Vivo is best in that department, it also has the largest battery at 5700 mAh.
Great video thanks
Exactly. Galaxy AI and the Samsung UI make the Fold 6 a multitasking champion.
The Z fold 6 was the first fold I felt like I was gonna skip. I ended up seeing one for under 1300 at Best Buy and cashed out lol. Definitely underrated device. Samsung spoiled us 😂 and the z fold 6 deserves a lot more respect
It overheats in the UK and the screen dims ridiculously. This has ways been an issue with Samsung. Trying to fly a DJI drone with DJI Fly on a mobile is neigh in impossible because the screen always dims to a point where you just can't see it in bright light. Sorry, but I've switched to Honor. Just gives me everything I need where Samsung now falls too short. If they had a 45W charge, or 4750mh battery, or better zoom, I'd consider these reasonable compromises. But it's a chunky, low powered device with cr*p cameras, smaller screen with a trough for the inner crease. 6 years on, that's not good enough I'm afraid. Vivo does better Multitasking. Honor does better screens and cameras. Everything (apart from the Fold Pro 9) has battery performance. I just couldn't find enough in the Fold 6 to keep my order. Hope they start to innovate and lead this space again but for now, they seem too complacement on having great software, but all the while, others are catching up and even overtaking Samsung in some areas.
I don't understand what the complaints are about this phone. I had one I bought brand new and I've had it for 2 months and it's still excellent.
The KING of foldables, period! I keep telling folks.
I for a pixel 9 pro fold I like it but I do want the Samsung software
Indeed the software keeps me back from getting the Magiv v3, but there is also a hardware item that these folds need - s-pen support. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the Pixel fold or Magic v3 can use a stylus
v3 has stylus support on both screens
@@kunalamratlal4566 thanks, good to know
I use my z fold 5 for school, I use dex and it better than my chrome book. Also in bed I'll use it for Math with a calculator up, my notes and my assignment. Using the stylus to breakdown equations
I’m waiting for the special edition🔥
I still get my head around the fact that these folding phones are still in beta testing. They cant figure out a way to get rid of the crease in the middle? Fingernail leaves trails on the inside display. Which is crazy for a phone that cost 1500
Great review
I guess someone who is a non fold user couldn't understand how the fold phone works, but once addicted then welcome to the fold phones world.
Fact it's a great phone🎉
Ok no trade in value is pretty AWESOME!
SAMSUNG BOY HERE!! 😎, JUST LOVE❤️ FOLDABLES PHONES AND GRABBED THEM 😂😂😂 SPENT A LOT OF MONEY, BUT LOVE TECHNOLOGY TOO 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😎 ANOTHER EXPERIENCE ZFOLD6 AND ZFLIP6.😊
But I want a super thin phone with a huge camera bump! I may need a hammer while out in the wild.
Kidding aside, that was a good overall assessment. I feel the same about my Fold6.
I'm really struggling between the Z Fold 6 and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
I have had both and can honestly say the Samsung is better.
The trade-in deals are great, especially if you have a Samsung. I traded my Z Fold 5 and got 1200 deal plus the 512 upgrade. Google doesn't have that deal. The Z fold 5 may not be the best folding phone, but it is a good phone with deals. I have the oneplus open as well and use them both.
I'd have to go pixel 9pro fold
Lost, one of the best TV shows!
The dual homescreen mode is unerrated for folding phones, kudos to Samsung for it
7:20 mark is the truth: What's the point in all of the real estate (ex. Pixel) for just two apps?
Get an Otter case.
Completely agree with a lot of what you said.
Software is by far the most important factor when making a foldable device.
It’s the reason the Z Fold 6 was my first foldable and why I am hesitant to get the pixel 9 pro Fold 🥲
Yeah I'm back to my z fold 6 after one plus open and honor magic V2 global .Yeah Samsung has best trade in.
Please, if you can buy me one, or if you have a Z Fold 5, 4 or 3, don't use them, give me one, mobile is my dream, and I have an iPhone 7plus, I bought it using it because my budget does not allow me
Not being able to use the pen on the front screen sucks.
You can use a basic stylus for both the front and inner display if you don't care too much about the extra features the s pen has
@@Qmac24 yeah, that is what I do, but it isn't the same.
Nah thin and light is very important for me and Honor Magic v3 takes the cake. FYI: ANy Android phone still sucks when it comes to DJ mixing software compared to IOS.
This phone is 🔥 .
Brilliant phone , gave the iPhone to my kids....
sold.
The cover display is too narrow to be functional for me. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold and OnePlus Open are much better cover displays for my money.
Grt video(leather belt😂)🎉
Samsung's software is the best on any foldable phone
King is Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.
Even though I'm disappointed with the Fold 6 because it tried to refine the Fold 5 and, after so long in the game, did relatively little in comparison to Honor or OnePlus (and secretly admitted it by making the slim/special edition),
The only reason I didn't get another folding phone is because I don't know what the software experience is like on the others and their ecosystems.
What you got wrong is that the Bluetooth functionality with the S Pen is not yet available (I've been waiting for years for it), and believe it or not, the others have stylus support, even on the front screen, which would have justified the thin front screen if it were supported.
What I'm trying to say is that the other companies are addressing and improving these issues quicker than Samsung, and almost everything that you've mentioned in your video will most likely be improved upon next year. By the others except Samsung.
Samsung is no longer the king of foldables, and they have to catch up.
I hope the fold 7 will be the fold that we've all been waiting for, because honor, Huawei, one plus and even Google are listening to the consumers and are giving us what we want.
Front display too narrow, the phone is sharp, battery terrible! Terrible wifi issue for no reason! Honestly I've bought a ton of phones since 1999 and this 9ne is probably my biggest regret!!! If i was dumb enough to buy that iphone 16 pro max 5hat surely would've been my biggest regret 😂😂😂 I dont even use the fold 6 anymore i just charge it every once and a while to make sure it still works. Currently using the pixel 9 fold. The battery life sucks, charging sucks 21 watts is egregious especially in 2024 for a $2000 phone, no 1tb option, video recording quality is really bad especially at night. Honestly if the oneplus open would have came out initially with a 1tb option i wouldnt have bought another fold until the open 2.
Lost, the best series ever..... except for season 6. We don't talk about that season
Galaxy fold 6 display model at the spectrum store head a huge black spot already on the inner display.
Compare its thickness with Honor 3 before you buy.
The honor 3 is impressive, but software, support, google, all is basically non existent
@@MarksTech I can transfer (clone) all Google apps and data from my old phone to the new Honor phone.
This brother really called the most outdated foldable phone the King.... LOL
Fala Mark, eu recomendo a película anti reflexo da Samsung, é muito boa
I love pixel devices but I’d have to go Samsung here…. Software which is where google should win, Samsung comes out on top
Mark... I hate to break it to you but the fold 6 is not even on the top 3 of the best foldable phones available. Check out the Honor V3 as well as the latest Vivo and Xiaomi devices. They make Samsung, especially hardware wise, and look a couple of generations behind. Samsung they has a slight advantage software wise, so bit the gat is very quickly closing.
Samsung wins in software utilization and optimization, 7 years of support, app compatibility, monthly software updates, customer support, durability (higher IP rating). To many people, those are more important especially when spending a lot of money for a phone.
The phones you mentioned are good for sure - but they don’t come with the entire package like Samsung does
