Just remember the three R's. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We need to make sure we RESUSE before we RECYCLE because the cost of recycling is huge. People who need these old parts cannot afford the new cars so it is important that they have the ability to use the old cars first and if those cars are not used then recycling can take place.
No wonder these cars still keep high prise value , most of these are perfectly fine with miner problems that can be fixed and used for more than decades after 😢 I my self can't affoard a tire of one of these let alone a full used car , i can't imagine how scrapping them help environment i tottaly disagree , this only helps maintain high prises even with after market parts it's a whole industry i get it but poor people will never able to own a car now and in far future.
... instead of a "new" rubber or mirror or armrest or ... better second hand, right!? Now it's always a "new" piece in the audi garage & it costs a lot!!!
This premature recycling is due to the German Green Party's legislation insisting that modern German cars are full of recycled plastic and non-user-fixable electronics, meaning that they are scrapped at the age that a Toyota or Honda would just be getting nicely run in with another 10+ years life ahead given decent maintenance (barring accidents). A few years ago I bought my daughters 15-year old Honda Jazzes to scoot around town in, for £840 and £1000 each, and (apart from consumables and basic maintenance) they have cost nothing in repairs apart from the one that needed a new exhaust because the catalytic converter was stolen in the night.
I guess this is what you have to do to cars that are still in fair condition but maintenance and parts are so expensive they aren't viable for a used car market.
it is an idea from the past when you're car past 100.000km it was total worn-out, this cars are very usable fore a longer time then on paper "end of live".
I almost cried when I saw the q7 getting crushed 😢

even though on the surface this looks respnsible, what it is actually is taking used parts away from people who want to fix their cars.
What a waste of goods

I like Audi's being stripped down like this. LOL
I'm rich, don't ask.
