As a massive Yakuza fan, I'm starting to get a bit cross with Nagoshi. Judge Eyes was supposed to be a fresh take from the team, but still felt like it was too attached to the series. And now 7 has come out and it's the most sequelly sequel ever. Completely shat on 6's ending just to bring back the old protagonist as fanservice.

Not gonna lie, I'd be down for a Sonic 06 remake. I feel like the comparison is unfair since Sonic 06 did have a clear vision but because of Sega's overall bullshitting the development cycle was a complete mess, breaking up teams and deadlines forcing them to rush it out. Whereas Banana Blitz didn't go through the same fate, the game doesn't look like a glitchy unfinished shitshow, the creators knew what they were doing. The part when he murdered the CEO of Sega was the most powerful moment in film history I have ever seen.
Ok

SEGA wasn't going to listen so I booked a flight to Japan and took the CEO hostage, only releasing him if Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 were remastered, it was a risky plan but one I was sure would pay off for Monkey Ball Fans.
Damn he changed that much from a smiling happy guy who is nice to a hard as a rock that doesn’t smile really break my heart. I wonder if somewhere after the first 2 games did he mix with the wrong group of people.
2018 Nick: I booked a flight to Japan for answers
2020 Nick: I booked a flight to Japan to vandalize a random person's desk
Four years ago I never would have wanted to install Driver San Francisco, buy Monkey Ball 1-2 or visit Japan, but I can safely say that after these past two years of Nick videos, I would gladly do all three of those things.
Imagine a SEGA employee sees this in their recommended
If I was an SEGA employee that saw this there’d be a big problem
Imagine if the only person that saw it was the security guard who ripped it off
Oof
Lennystudios 3.14 yeah
Honestly, I think they'd be far madder that he exposed those Yakuza stories to his english-speaking audience than they would be about the picture and would probably use trespassing laws to get payback without resorting to their alleged underworld connections.
JUSTICE IS ARRIVING
What if they don’t even recognise the image because of all the edits
Gonna go out on a limb and say that's part of the joke.
@@someonecool8533 The joke that is for Nick's audience, not the fictional joke that is for SEGA employees.
"Excellent question."

This man tortured himself with putting up a sticker against a wall. Legend
4:07 This guy, literally went from looking like a humble Japanese developer, to a rich Latino-looking guy.
I swear this guy just changed races.
Aight imma micheal jackson
Not really far fetched considering Latinos are half native american and native americans crossed the Bering Strait from Asia to the Americas.
Everyone: You can't just change races.
Nagoshi, Rachel Dolezal, Martina Big, Oli London: *don't believe me, just watch*
oh god oh fuck hes switching cultures
Being serious, it’s quite depressing. He looked like an actual developer back then and now... he looks like he’s a member of a crime gang.
Nick: doesn’t like game * books flight to Tokyo *
*Nick now knows Sega’s location*
He could straight up just live there but the problem is that there's no Bojangles in Japan

Charissa Dubin are you saying smp isn’t quality?
Agreed
And maybe the 3rd one
Or at least port Super Monkey Ball Deluxe
@Alexander Tijerina (student) you mean the oragami king?
I love everything that you've done here... but I think in trying to form the most powerful middle finger of an image you could, you transformed it into something completely unrecognizable, and I'd be very surprised if any SEGA employee had any idea what they were looking at.
they’ll eventually know about the video and the sticker was probably already taken by some security guard bit after nick left
Ye I think thats the joke lol
it's likely a way to protect himself from legal trouble. since the pic isn't recognizable as monkey ball, he's not stealing any intellectual property and therefore can't be sued. that's just my opinion though
Knowing the insane plot twists that happen on this channel, I expected Nagoshi to be driving the taxi.
I expected the car to just take him back to sega
Thanks for telling me what to do for Pac-Man World 4.
@Richard Lucena gonna do this at Mattel and post a huge sticker showing HOT WHEELS BEAT THAT. To get across a message showing that I wnat this game given a remake from criterion. That, or noe Three Fields Entertainment.
Wait it there was only three of them right?
This channel is the highest quality shitposting and I love every second of it.

I would say you should move to japan, but it seems you got the Sega yakuza after you
"So what was the most interesting thing you did today?"
"I watched a video about a guy who put a sticker on a wall."
A 28-minute video.
This man literally traveled to Japan because a few people spent $30 on a video game
Including himself
I honestly wasn’t expecting him to book a ticket this time.
You fool
He booked a ticket because of a video that got taken down
at 14:18 I quickly paused the video and jumped on my bed, punching it like a madlad, after I found out he did just as I expected.

"I arrived in Japan and started devising my plan"
You bought a plane ticket to get back at a company for charging you 30 dollars without even knowing how you were going to get back at them.
Maybe if we had more people like you boycotts would actually work.
It's so interesting seeing Nagoshi from the point of two different fandoms. The Yakuza fans who are delighted to see a serious story about men breaking out of difficult situations while also having some of the most silliest shit i've ever seen and the Monkey Ball fans who see him as someone who abandoned his beloved series and even questions why the series was so popular in the first place
totally! i was nervous to even bring him up, because i know how much Yakuza fans love him - but seeing him from the perspective of a Monkey Ball fan, it hasn't always been the best relationship
@@babylonian I've been angry about the shift to Yakuza for 15 years from the perspective of both a massive F-Zero GX and SMB nut both. Preaching to the choir here.
i was a latecomer to F-Zero GX (just played it for the first time last year) - but man, that game is straight up incredible. it's nuts what they were able to pull off with that engine.
btw, if you're interested, here's my first time playing F-Zero GX: th-cam.com/video/vingsEnaF6M/w-d-xo.html
@@JayAreAitch Don't forget about them trying to sell the NG+ as DLC.
Should've had text on the sticker that read "Super Junky Ball: Wallet Blitz"
I started wincing when he walked inside, I could never do that
I cringed so hard in the Dominos video when he walked into a cramped elevator shoulder-to-shoulder with a bunch of old businessmen.
I had to try so hard not to just skip the whole thing, because it stressed me out so much
I like to think that Nick was so ashamed of purchasing "Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD" that he made his entire steam library private.

Whether it was the Devs themselves or Sega to blame for the design. But watching this video, I would guess the latter.
06 is the sonic game i most want a remake. And i mean Ratched and clank style. The game had a lot of good ideas and great potential.
