I grew up in Tanzania and we ate Tilapia from Lake Victoria every week, mid ‘60’s through mid ‘70’s. I still purchase and grill or fry it regularly. My batter recipe is definitely spicier than my mothers (just s&p and no beer) but, I made it my own. That’s the way, right? I will rethink my chips and definitely make that salad. While growing up in Georgia, my parents cooked fish every Friday. I cook with Tilapia. You are correct. It doesn't have the fishy taste. I"ll have to replicate the Kale salad. This is cooking my friend

Nothing at all wrong with Tilapia. The problem is with restaurants using it in place of and claiming it is a more expensive fish. Florida had to tighten up on that 10 - 15 years ago. Love your tartar sauce.
