I love steak/roast and potatoes with gravy. I never tried the fried potatoes with gravy though. It does look delicious. I can only imagine how great this dish is. I do like to sprinkle some lemon pepper on my fries/fried potatoes. Here's another great recipe for me to add to my list. Yum Yum😋 Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏾
I guess we're more alike in some ways than different. This reminds me of Canadian Poutine with the cheese. I love to smother my potatoes, and then turn up the heat uncovered and crisp them. This is as Southern as it gets! (Meat 'n Potatoes!) Great job!
Hell yeah. coming in before its time for dinner. Love your work sir. Your videos bring a light in this dark depressive hungry world. Bless your heart and your family. Local Texan
I needed this video because I can't cook a steak at all, thanks for teaching me how to cook easy to the point recipe another great video carry on love it❤
I watched this after eating Dinner and now I'm hungry again. Thank you. Looks wonderful. I do the 'blend the veggies' trick for quite a few recipes that I make because one of my kids doesn't like the texture of onions, and another doesn't like mushrooms. 😆
I've never heard of placing gravy over fried potatoes. The way you make your gravy is unique, blending the veggies and then adding your roux. This is definitely a good comfort meal. It looks absolutely delicious. Will have to try. I know that most of the time ppl use butter and flour to make their roux, but I see you used olive oil. Learn something new every day. I just started watching your channel and saw some interesting meals, meats, and veggies you prepared. Your presentations are on point. TYFS. Be blessed. Fantastic!!!🕊
Great knowledge right here and thank you. I would have never thought of blending the veggies for the gravy. I would normally drain the broth to make the gravy and serve the steak over a bed of veggies smoothered in gravy . Excellent idea that I will be trying, thank you so much for sharing your take and style.
What a great idea for a Sunday afternoon meal. Looks amazing! Your cooking skills are off the charts but your plate presentation is great as well. Thanks for the upload! Thumbs-up 👍
This looks delicious. I love the idea of the vegetables in the gravy. I like my gravy a little darker brown. What can you add to make the gravy dark brown.
I don't know how I cooked beef or beans before I got my Instant Pot back in 2016. Since it's just me and the wife, I buy just a small chuck. I season and sear the chuck in the Instant Pot, then deglaze with water to remove the fond, before adding the chopped veggies. When I make fries from fresh cut potatoes, I add 1/2 tbsp of baking soda to the water and let them soak for a few minutes, then drain, pat dry and deep dry. I started baking flour and oil for roux a few years ago, it always seemed that I would get distracted stirring the roux in my cast iron skillet, and it burnt.
Wow! I hate this channel. I now have to buy a pressure cooker!! In all seriousness where’d you learn to cook? Guessing a school and mom. This looks fantastic, sir!!
I hate you, I hate you. You're the Torquemada of Cooking! I can't cook, don't have the kitchen equipment, so RESORT to packets of "gravy" made with H2O in a sauce pan. Seriously, this looks over-the-top delicious, I can taste it, sort-of, through my PC screen. WAAAAAZAHHHHHHH.

Roast and potatoes uuu laalaa. I like that leather apron you have there too. and I bet your wife eats good.
Thank you so much!
I’ve always been hesitant to purchase/use a pressure cooker. I know they’ve evolved into a safer machine. What brand are you using?
I own a few I like the power xl 10 qt.
@@bbqsouthernstyle I just googled it and found it has been discontinued. Even a class action lawsuit ☹️ However, your recipe is awesome 👍🏾
Someone sub to this man! This channel is nuts.
LOl thank you!!!

Lol thank you. You can use a pan to braze the meat to in the oven also and flour is cheaper than packet gravy.
@@bbqsouthernstyle OK. Thanks. Good Luck.
Could beef broth be used instead of water, or would it be too salty for the meat)
6 pounds of beef makes more than enough broth and it's all fresh. Save your money and time.
Don’t mean to cuss but damn that looks good 👍🏾 😂
Thank you!
Yummy 😋
Thank you.
Food looks delicious! However, mashed potatoes would have been top of the line!!
