@@ragames7320 Because of this win he hit his seed and got an Upset, he probably would've gotten 5th if he lost here (Gluto would've played Shuton). IMO that's an already great result.
@@SeriousStriker I agree, but I was rooting for him the whole bracket and after his 1st set win against Miya I thought he adapted and could beat Miya again in case of a runback. I was disappointed when that wasn't the case. I also have hope that Gluto will beat Acola with enough adaptation.😊
Matchup is only slight GnW favor or even. The fact that Wario is both super heavy and really fast in the air are both great qualities to have against GnW’s advantage state. Not to mention his Bike can let him bypass Chef ledgetrapping with ease
The differences between this set and losers finals are interesting. Glutonny showed here that he will punish any unsafe aerial from Miya, whereas I feel like a lot of players let Miya get away with poorly spaced aerials because they aren't sure how to punish it(or possibly literally can't, for some characters). Any time Miya would do a nair or backair anywhere close to his shield, Gluto would up-b. And if Miya tried approaching with his aerials, Gluto would simply retreat and dash attack, down tilt or f-tilt at the perfect moment. In losers finals, Miya started spacing better. He'd only hit Gluto's shield with the tip of his backair or forward air(and there was that one time where Gluto tried rolling through the forward air-grab set-up, and Miya read it with an f-tilt) and he'd mixed up his nair and forward air better when approaching Gluto. He also started being more willing to be ledgetraped, instead of trying to always come back on stage, which Gluto punished with perfect backairs of his own several times. Edit: And the dash attack to cross up the shield is also something that Miya stopped doing in losers finals.
Gluto had to beat Miya in a -2 MU, to fight the winner of acola (-2 MU) and KEN (-2 MU), or else he would've been sent to losers to fight Shuton in a -2 MU. He would then proceed to lose to acola in a -2 MU, and then Miya in a -2 MU.
@@sympathy_for_strays GnW is fair, and you can argue Olimar (I wasn’t even considering Aegis lol) However, it is inarguable that Europe vs Olimar is -2
Glutonny is GOATed for winning this matchup against the best Game & Watch. It's so hard for Wario.
Yeah but he lost the runback when he needed it the most...
@@ragames7320hey I mean that first win guaranteed a 3rd place I'd say pretty amazing already

Miya is the last player I expected Gluto to beat, holy shit
It seems to be Sonix level of difficulty for him. Congratz!
