- Since 2013, this has been our favorite seafood place in all of Florida.
They feature an "old Florida" dining experience on the water, all outside seating, and fresh seafood right out of the Gulf Of Mexico.
That has me hungry! Anna Marie is like taking a walk back in time to the little quaint fishing villages. Loved those paintings. 🤗💕

This place never disappoints. We love it, and glad ya'll enjoyed it as well.
We stopped there for the first time this last January and loved it! The Grouper Sandwich was very good, the Grouper Nuggets were dynamite...the Hushpuppies though! OMG were they outstanding!! We'll definitely be back!!

Wow, it has been a year already, it seems like it was just a couple of months ago that y'all were there. I have been wanting some fish for a couple of days, just haven't gotten it yet. I think the last time y'all were there they were cleaning fish on a boat right beside y'all. I might be thinking of another place .
The place you are talking about where they were cleaning fish, was the Waterfront Seafood Shack, in Calabash, NC.
Yes, the fishing boat pulled right up to the dock and they started gutting fish right in front of us. Of course, I guess we should have expected it, since we were sitting right there on the waterfront where the fishing boats come in. It's just not something that had occurred to us, that we might see. That was actually during Memorial Day weekend of 2021.

@@pateberly1595 We stayed on Anna Maria Island, during Christmas week of 2020. We stayed at the Tortuga Inn, which is just up from where you're going to be.

@@NCMemoryMakers Ha! This cracked me up because I was thinking the same exact thing! I can't imagine what they were thinking when they decided to store all of those shirts in there with the fish! Yuck! They need a new marketing person, for sure.

Walt’s in Sarasota much better in my opinion. Plus, don’t have to deal with the heat and bugs eating outside. Glad you like it though
We've done 2 reviews at Walt's, as well. The first one was mixed, and the 2nd one was much more positive.
Walt's does have the advantage that you mentioned, about not having to fight with the flies. They are terrible. But we also love that experience of dining out on the waterfront. I think their cheese grits, fried shrimp, and their blackened grouper, is second to none.
