Putin hated losing the cold war. In an interview afterwards he acknowledged saying that yes they lost the cold war. But I could see in his face that he was going to keep hating and plotting. Now look where this emotion has gotten him.
Well, the Soviet Union had a lot of support from western companies since very early on. Read books by Antony Sutton. The cold war was a created conflict. The world is ruled behind the scenes. I doubt that there is a single country that is free.

India purchased those planes, while Ukraine has been conditionally gifted planes - there is a difference. Some of the more sophisticated OEM bundles, the West is dictating how they can be used, implying Ukraine does not 'own' them entirely. So to be fair to reality, if Ukraine has not renamed them, the journo is entitled to describe them either by their name (which is freighted in country of origin/OEM), or at least as jointly owned.

I really don't envy anyone who takes on the job of president in Ukraine, he's got to deal with a full scale invasion with all the economics and logistics that go along with that plus he's still got to do the job of running the country and keeping their economy going strong all the while getting reports of missiles hitting civilians and dealing with that too. Our government couldn't handle a post pandemic economy in peace time just imagine how hard it must be for zilensky.

Is it true that the US or France can stop UK from giving permission to others to use weapons built and/or purchased by them to countries it donates them to simply because of intellectual property? This seems absurd to me because if the concern is that the technology will be used by the enemy if it is shot down or as it is used then isn't this always the case with any weapon. Secondly what is the point of a weapon if it cannot be used and lastly how does that affect weapon purchase and sovereignty?
I'm willing to bet that most of those POWs would rather stay where they are for now....

Any time someone tries to make excuses for crimes against humanity and says "Well IT'S WAR- what do you expect!?!?", all I have to do is point to Ukraine. You are providing an example of moral leadership to the world, one that is necessary not just for your enemy, but for your allies as well, sadly.
I'd be careful with that. The one-sided moral superiority depends mainly on nobody believing Russian media. The Ukrainian government is not exactly telling the truth on many things, and Ukraine in general suffers from corruption at a scale that is unimaginable to Western sensibilities. They are no angels. Saying any different will just lead to more condemnation further down the road.
