    Coda’s animations were incredible contributions to the usual fact that everything contained within a Stupendium video is just a huge flex.

    I would describe this music as….
    NeoRetro
    Basically it takes the essence of retro music but makes something almost completely new and separate yet it’s so ingrained in the feeling of the era it’s trying to emulate even if it’s inaccurate.

    I haven't actually cared about a fnaf game since ultimate custom night but I will listen to literally anything Stupes puts out. It's amazing this person shatters the ceiling that their previous project set every time.
    Edit: Coda did an amazing job at this music video too

    The music style you are hearing is New Wave music mixed with 80's Glam Rock. Late 70's through the 80's is when it came in. Edit: Koda

    First of all, Security Breach by now is in the future. Like very in the future, so people kind of already know how to make stupidly sentient robots at this point. Trust me, the Fazbear Frights books are absolutely weird AF and Glamrock Freddy's design is not even close to appalling in comparison. Plus he is basically your himbo dad in the game so it's only natural that he is less scary. The rest of the characters though make up for the fear factor because they are either trashed, transition painfully into a different form, are huge, are tiny in a confined space, or eerily cheerful as they chase after you.
    Also, if you have never seen that one person who made a full on cosplay suit for Glamrock Freddy, omg! It is so cool!

    I feel like the "80s style" is more a distillation of the "1980s" into a style. It combines the fashion, the cartoons, the Roller-skating rinks, the arcades, the music, the movies, the toys, the games, and, for Five Nights at Freddy's Sakes, restaurants like Chuck E. Cheese or Showbiz Pizza and distills them into a "Now That's What I Call the 80s" feel. It's less that it's matching a style of a particular part of the 80s and more just makes it representative of the entire 80s.
    When a person born and raised in the 80s sees it, they get all the nostalgia for the 80s and don't realize that not all the music of that era had as large of a production value. They just see the neon, hear that definitively 1980s style of echoes, the instrumentation, and the use of vocals, and it just brings them back.
    Meanwhile for those who were born more recently, because they didn't experience the 80s, they can only look back through videos, photographs, the music, and all that and it just feels like the 80s because their only point-of-reference for what the 80s was is those pieces of pop culture, music, cartoons, games, etc.
    I could call it the "80s-in-a-nutshell" style.

    there were like ten songs that had this theme when i was a kid, i think what happened is they stood out and got remembered as that decade's sound simply because they were so different than everything else. the rest just blending into the 90s and onward.

    • @PopfulFrost
      @PopfulFrost ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much, yeah. Stuff like Push It To The Limit was something very distinctly 80's, so it's what gets remembered as being the music of the decade despite its relative scarcity.

    I think the 80s visuals wise and audio is more so what people in the 70s thought the 80s would be, the rapid technological advances as well as Sci Fi growing exponentially during that era.

  • @ForestskiesOfficial
    @ForestskiesOfficial 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'm pretty sure that the music is based on both glam-rock and vaporwave. Glam-rock being at its peak in the eighties and vaporwave being a sub-genre of electronic music and visual style produced in the oughts and early 2010s but based around 80s and 90s R&B and lounge music with cyberpunk and glitch art visuals. Which for many younger people became almost indicative of what the eighties was like. And yes. Blade Runner didn't inform people any better. And the mix of the two really fits the charicature of the 80s portrayed in security breach really well.

    ~1:00 - Um, my guess: shock factor + bring in a new crowd. They actually get QUITE gross towards the end of the game, so it's the whole crapsacrine, cute-hiding-disturbing dealy. I had asked the same thing when I first started seeing promo and fan art, trust me. Then I looked up the wiki. (Also, as a person that that has done one too many internets, I'm not going to confirm or deny what you said as a factor... :P )
    Cosmo Stupendibird. Got a ring to it, you know~ :3
    Because Synthwave became a thing, we reduced an ENTIRE section of history to it. Kinda like how we think the Greeks only did white marble statues, when really _they painted them bad boys_ like we paint DnD minis and GKs. I'd expand on how both happened, but people have certain allergies to certain subjects, so I'll not. YW, btw; that's a thing you know now.
    The animation AND the editing is so fire. The 'Sun and Moon' bit and that cut to the evil little dood in Stupe's exact pose... so good... SO GOOD~
    Coda, btw, has been animating for at least a few years. While the fandom is LITTERED with amazing artists, anytime you'd see a really neat 3D gif or vid with FNAF characters that looks nearly-real, he's usually your first and best guess as to who made it. (I do not know if he models: that's considered two different jobs, and I at least know that both are a pain-and-a-half to even learn...)

    What you're talking about with how we remember 80s music, there's a song called Cassandra by a group called The Galvatrons that is possibly the most concentrated 80s you can cram into four minutes, and it came out in 2009. Check out the video, it's on TH-cam.

      @@Osma777 In truth the outfit was kind of a last minute logistical choice. The plan was for me to wear one of the two sparkly suits on that location shoot, but after filming the studio portions in those suits it was clear they were too restrictive for me to climb around a play centre in. (We shot a lot more of me actually climbing/sliding/etc that didn't make the edit.)
      I had the FNAF shirt already as a backup costume item in case the suits didn't work out, but on its own it looked too formal all buttoned up, so we very last minute paired it with an undershirt and that's how we arrived at that look. Had I realised sooner that the suits wouldn't be suitable (pun not intended) for the location shoot I'd have given more forethought to that costume, but that's how we ended up where we did!
