Weight is not our friend, as we age. I went from 240, to as low as 155, before settling in at 175. Health is something you need to work at. Very glad you’re healthy Ken. Keep the videos coming 🎉

Good work on the weight loss. I hit 378 when I was competing in power lifting but as with any sport you can get injured and I did to the point no longer being able to lift. So in 8 months I have dropped 50 lbs and still working on more.

While your banging away those ball joints and a arm bushings a nice 4 wheel disc brake kit sure would be a nice addition.....along with a new dual master cylinder!! 👌
Then ya got a nice turnpike cruiser!
Damn.....those tires are a mess. Go for a better brand with more uv ray protection.
Never had Michelins crack up in the sunlight. BF Goodrich hold up well too.
Never had any luck with them thar Hankook tires.
    Great seat upholstery price!!
Keep up the good 👍 work Ken!! Soon you will be on the road to see Mr Heavy Chevy!!
Drag that International Dump home!! I wish ya would have opened the hood on that!! Had the original orange 🍊 color in the door jams too....awesome!! 👌

Hey Ken. I had a64 impala that would slide a back axel out when it felt like it. It would take the brake drum with it and the only way you were stopping was the whitewall destroying itself on the wheel house. Do the brake swap and preserve your underpants 😁

It’s always a shame when you gotta replace tires due to rot-not tread wear. You know what that means though; needs more burnouts! But that usually don’t happen on a nice cruiser like that!
Glad you’re tackling that front end. She definitely needs it and it’s gonna be one sweet ride across the country when she’s done 😎
Keep up the great work Ken and congrats on the weight loss! 👍🏻👍🏻

One thing that I added in my shop, is a 2 wheel dolly to help move things around. I wasn't sure if I would use it much, but it has come in very handy for me. I'm 64yrs old, and if I can do something easier I will try to. I do agree with you about walking, I try and go walking every day. John

Good for you Waylon, I am 64, I've lost right at 32 lbs in the past 7 months. Slow and steady lifestyle change, not a diet. It's gotten a bit slower now since I tore the meniscus in my left knee so my walking has backed off considerable...there is a chance it'll heal up on its own...Gonna go that route before I get it cut on, last time they scoped my right one they told me I'd need new knee(s) about now. Gonna put that off a bit longer.
There ain;t no reason not to puts discs on the front of that car. If someday some purist wants to put it back to "stock" it isnt like you torched the car in half, it can be put back...I'd put the discs on fer sure.

Very thankful you are doing well !! On your 63 , I would definitely get a dual master cylinder on it Ken . If one line starts leaking you would still have two wheel brakes without having to use your parking brake all the time. Just my two cents Brother . Be safe and may our Heavenly Father continue to bless you, in Jesus Name !!! Eddy

@12:20... I'm glad that spring didn't fly out! (Which is why you chained it up) 😉😉 Yessir, upgrading to a dual reservoir master cylinder and front discs is a good thing! I lost the brakes on my '66 Mustang, because it had a single reservoir master cylinder and the o-ring broke! I wrecked, sliding sideways on I-78 in Allentown, PA (October 1991). I'm glad you're healthy. I need to lose weight myself. I figure I need to lose at least 40 pounds.

Hey Ken, looks like the Impala is well under way to getting some new suspension, i know the feeling having to through away tires that are 10 years old with like new tread, i just had to do that on the 53, and i'm afraid i will have to do the same thing on the 55 in Eastern Washington, but i know the side walls will blow, ask me how i know, glad you found a upholstery shop you like, they are hard to find, i had some work done from Johnson's in Ellensburg, they did a Tonneau cover for the Dune Buggy, nice job and reasonable, glad you are feeling good you look good, i care about you Neighbor Ken

  • @lateefcarrere1649
    @lateefcarrere1649 ปีที่แล้ว

Don't think about it, just do it. That's what I did more than once, which is how I ended up with 7 cars at home. My neighbors loved that, but not as much as I did😁
If I lived closer, I would find it hard to resist buying the International, because I was a fan of them as a kid, and the Pontiac, well they really don't build them like that anymore. I believe I could get them to run again, even on this so-called gasoline. I also believe you're doing a good job on the Impala, but my #totallyunsolicitedadvice is that you need a support under the rearend to compensate for the loss of weight up front, and you should wear eye protection because of all the dust, dirt and corrosion you will encounter underneath.
Alright, I'm getting off of my high horse now. I appreciate ya!
