Who is "The Lord" in Advaita Vedanta? Why is the word "God" used all the time? Who is this Lord God Swamiji is petitioning for help? Please don't think I am being flippant -- this is a central issue for me with Vedanta -- I've been interested in Vedanta for 30 years but I'm trying to find a spiritual home that avoids that Man in She Sky Who Can Make or Break My Life Depending on My Devotion to Him. Can anyone point me to an explanation of this in the texts or elsewhere? Namaste.
