At 7:29 it must have taken decades for that road divide to wear that far in, I've never seen a road that worn in. The original would have been as high as the divider where the trees and grass are growing.
We have the same issue here in the US. People buy a 4x4 Nissan (ours is the Armada, formerly the Pathfinder; Australia has the Patrol) because they're typically cheaper than a Jeep. Then they try to take it out on the trail to do Jeeprat Stuff With Their Friends, which usually ends with a Jeep pulling them out of a rut. Nissan made (past tense) great, rugged and reliable vehicles which were good for an occasional blizzard or soft road. We call them Post Office 4x4s here: good in all terrain and weather, but not something you want to rock crawl or go mudding in. Unless you drop several thousand dollars into them, they're not going to perform as well as a typical stock Jeep, and even fully kitted out, they can never compete with a built-up Jeep.
And if you have a winch you should be able to get out of any situation you get yourself in using only the winch. But then again you guys aren't using it right you have to Anchor to something or else it'll just pull you forward
That's why you don't jerk straps , generally good for 3 hard jerks then they are dangerous.. deadly. try looking up Bubba ropes military uses them in recovery. and learn how they work..
