@@BT_Official2011 I'm reserving Xbox use only to games that dont have Playstation trophies, since the point of my challenge is to get platinum trophies on all possible Sonic titles. But yes, Xbox Series has a much better version of Unleashed than Ps3.
When playing as Sonic and Tails, if you hold up on the dpad while Tails is in mid jump, you can make him fly at will and control his flight as player 1. He can even carry Sonic when they aren't small. This makes collect em all doable with Sonic and Tails though, its still incredibly difficult and hellish but doable.
I dont know if I put any footage in the video, but I did do this to help get emeralds and such. And I did try it on one round of Collect Em All, but its honestly still so tough so solo Tails makes it easier.
Christ, that final gold medal blue sphere level was a pain in the arse to complete WITHOUT getting all the rings in 3&K, so I can only imagine how hellish it must've been to do while getting a perfect
I've already platinumized the game on Steam, it was a lot of fun, the only somewhat complicated achievements were the Metalic Madness boss (I had to replay the game with Tails) and passing it in less than 1 minute the act before Metal Sonic, it is one of the most fun Sonic games to get these achievements, are you planning to do Sonic Generations or already made it?
Yeah, the blue spheres were tough but manageable. Collect Em All was frustrating, but honesty, King of Speed was easier than I thought. Its such a quick route. Generations is absolutely planned :) I only started this type of content a month or so ago, so its this and Sonic Forces that is up now. I teased the next video at the end of this one though
This game made me hate blue spheres. It is a fun special stage minigame unless you ask the player to get a perfect, then it is horrendous. I just gave up pretty much right away to even get silver medals because there was just no shot I was going to have any fun in those stages after they crushed me so badly.(Tbh, that reminds me that I should eventually get back to Sonic 4. It is like, one of the few games I ever tried achivement hunting for and I never managed to get the last emerald and unlock Super Sanic because the stage was monstrously difficult. That is after I already felt like I was going to blow a blood vessel doing the "Get a perfect in special stage 1"-achivement)
Theres enough alteration to the level design that it gets away with it, but yes I'd love to see a wholly original 2D Sonic title from these guys. Excited to see Penny's Big Breakaway next year!
@@teaoftraffic well, thats absolutely true. Mania is a fantastic game, and is an anniversary title done correct. Not saying Generations missed. It was also fantastic.
Trophies and requirements are set by the developers, and sometimes smaller games or ports wont have platinum trophies. Considering the cool trophy requirements of Mania, its odd that there is no platinum. SA1 and SA2 dont have platinums either, same with Sonic 4 ep1 and 2.

i've played "mania mode" 4 times, using all 4 different characters choices, but i could only manage to get 3 chaos emeralds and 2 silver medals...
