Take two young mothers and a female body builder in their early thirties, a cute 4ft. 9in. twenty-seven year old female clay model maker and a twenty year old in her second year at university, no tattoos, no piercings, no drugs problems, no torn jeans or t-shirts, and what do you get ? Just the best metal band in a generation, male or female.

It could be worse: They could make business with bad guys mixing their outrageous music in some top studio and distributing it into the world, so regular innocent people with excellent taste of music get addicted to it. 😁

The biggest surprise is Haruna. You'd imagine a drummer 6 foot tall with bushy whisker and a chunk of muscle, and wearing no shirt but a black leather vest only to beat such brutal sound.

Never seen a drummer like that. However, Mike Portnoy comes close. There are a few drummers like her and size ie my fav Japanese drummer Senri Kawaguchi

Here's a link for a video of Edge of the world/We the united a double whammy I think you'll really enjoy, Edge of the world shows just how good Asami's vocals are and it's followed up by We the united which is regarded by many as their anthem and has an awesome duel solo.

As always: Lovebites play and arrange highly demanding music, and let it look easy. Smiling along, having fun along. Just incomparable.

The phrase "Stand & Deliver (shoot'em down)" seems to have been thought up by Asami for when the COVID regulations were relaxed and she could sing with the audience.
Currently, audiences are required to wear masks at concerts in Japan, but cheering is finally permitted.

    • @BMR86
      @BMR86  ปีที่แล้ว

it's actually kind of sad they are being held to those restrictions to this day! Japanese people should free themselves from that already!

    Thanks for responding to LOVEBITES.
    Please continue to support LOVEBITES.
【From an interview with Asami(Vo) and Fami(Ba) for a magazine project in Japan】
When Covid19 subsided and the audience was able to speak up, Asami thought it would be nice to have a song that everyone could sing, both on stage and in the audience.
Asami wanted to use the sound of "river" in the lyrics, but thought it would be strange to use "river" as the chorus.
Asami found "deliver" and thought it would be cool if everyone shouted it out instead of just telling what the word means.
For many Japanese, pronouncing and hearing the English "r" and "l" is difficult.
From there, Asami arrived at "stand and deliver.
"Stand and deliver" is a pirate term that apparently means "Leave all your money!"
Asami thought that if he wrote the lyrics as they were, it would be a song about a "pirate king.
    Asami wanted to avoid that.
Asami learned that "deliver" can also mean "to carry out" or "to be free" in addition to "to deliver.
Asami uses "Stand and deliver" with the following interpretation and meaning.
    Stand up and be free!
    Rise up and be free!
    Arise and be free!
Let's get up and be free!
From there, Asami put the following thoughts into the lyrics.
    Nothing satisfies me.
It's boring to be like this every day!
    Let's go more bouncy!
Let's be bold and do something different!
Let's break out of our shell!
    P.S.
The mic stand setting that Miyako(G-Piano-Black hair) used was too high for Asami(Vo).
    Asami is very cute.

The lyrics have a meaning in reference to what is to come. It's very similar in essence to " raise some hell" where it references every member of the band. However, this song references what they are doing musically from here on in, there is a change and can be heard throughout the new album!!

Some people say that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Lovebites always delivers. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist and founder of the band) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity.
