For me, Nemophila is the best band around. Their songs are based in metal and metalcore but they also roam around visiting different genres: pop, punk, nu-metal, synth pop, hard rock and, most recently, an 80s/90s style power ballad that actually was recorded for an anime. For more of their metal side, check out their recent live videos for 'Zen' and 'Oiran'. For their more melodic side, check out the studio live of 'Life', the live video for 'Now I Here' and their latest release , 'Odyssey'. Other great tracks: 'Raitei', 'Adabana', 'Style', 'Hypnosis', 'Revive'.
Quick comment on the painting and all art is subjective. The song is Rise. You see five hands raising up. Some interpret this as the five band members and others their audience. Either way they are reaching for their logo, the five petal Nemophila flower. Love the aggressiveness of this song mixed with uplifting lyrics. A masterful band. ❤️🌸
Sugoi! Imo, the best pop, punk, rock, and metal for the last 10 years has come out of Japan and usually from its plethora of all-female groups. BABYMETAL, BAND-MAID, TRIDENT, NEMOPHILA, GACHARIC SPIN, LOVEBITES, ATARASHII GAKKO, DOLL$BOXX, HANABIE, BRIDEAR, OTOBOKE BEAVER, etc., etc. If you've not done so, check them out, even if just for your own edification. Nice! The members of nemophila are musicians from different bands. They are all excellent musicians. And nemophila is a very unique and diverse band, with various genres of music appearing in their catalog. I recommend《oiran》live(recent upload) as the next!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
Since you are familiar with Lovebites here are a few thoughts. Nemophila is more diverse in sound sometimes really heavy, like way heavier then this (Zen or Oiran) for example are heavier then Lovebites. Other times in songs like (Life or Odyssey) they are way softer then Lovebites. Both bands have incredible musicians and rabid fans. Also Saki the guitarist with the dark guitar is good friends with Miyako from Lovebites and recently was hanging with Lovebites founding member Miho. As for the solos Saki and Hazuki are as good as anyone in the business. Nemophila though is more a modern style with out longer solos much like Band Maid. Saki especially is famous for soloing in her old band Mary’s Blood. Lovebites if you are comparing solos to are more classic metal style with longer solos.
I can't say I'm surprised! they are today's generation of incredibly talented musicians in the Rock/Metal world so they must know each other. Thank you for the info, I will try to explore more of Nemophila's catalog to get a sense of what you mean by their diveristy in sound.
If you want more of the uplifting lyrics, try their earlier song "Revive" either MV or live. You want Anime? Just released for an upcoming movie, "Odyssey". Good listening ahead for you!
This is my favorite band. This song is just straight up metalcore. It sounds nothing like an "anime intro". I swear people just say they because they are Asian and it's terrible lol
Well, I'm not an expert and my words shouldn't be taken as such, if I made that association it means that surely in the Japanese entertainment media, this type of music has been used with Anime at some point or another, but I am not the biggest Anime watcher of all time so, no I wouldn't be able to set examples to back what I said, it's just my personal opinion.
Yes, that definitely pays off, they are worth it, masterpiece after masterpiece, and they are versatile style-wise, no waste of time paying attention to them. 😊🐺💮
The first song I listened to by Nemophila was 'Dissention' which opens with a scream and fry vocals which I NEVER really liked or listened to. But for some reason I decided to give them a chance and listened to the entire song all they way through and by the end was 100% in on this band. Something about them just resonates with me. And now I actually LOVE Mayu's screams as well as her beautiful cleans. Nemophila is my new favorite band....so much to experience with this talented group!
As you can probably notice, I'm doing a little bit of experimentation and this time I decided to flip the video to try to reduce the copyright impact on my video. Ultimately, I have to work within the confines of TH-cam's playbook, and with this video I noticed flipping the video didn't really do much lol! but hey you have to try stuff out!
