The 3 ingredient Midori Sour is my absolute out of the 5 - make sure you try it if you have a bottle of the green stuff lying around. FYI, didn't realise that 'apple cider' is the US means apple juice >_< so I used an alcoholic cider in the last cocktail when it should have been juice. I think it would be aiight with cloudy apple juice.. check out the BAMBOO STRAWS (Worldwide Shipping): bit.ly/buy-bamboo-straws
Apple cider and Apple juice are a little bit different. Apple juice is more refined/filter where I guess cider is more earthy, it's just smashed up apples. Now Hard Cider is alcoholic like beer, I knew what you were talking about. And lastly there hot apple cider which is not alcoholic but you pour Apple cider in a large pot, toss in some mulling spices (cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice and something else I'm forgetting) let it simmer on the stove for the afternoon and OMG warm, tasty, earthy. It's a fall season tradition with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I wonder why every time you shake a drink, you put on this creepy smile like you know somebody’s dirty little secret? Nothing wrong with that, just wondering...
On one of his first shakes, my heart dropped as he didn't smile and I thought 'well thats it, I'm done' but he recovered and remember about 5 seconds into the shake 😌😌
I love this video! I would love to see a whole series of where you use unique liqueurs like Creme de mure, Macadamia nut liqueur and so on to make different cocktail!

I love midori and I love Steve The Bartender. He keeps shit professional and makes it easy for anyone such as myself who's just now getting into mixology and craft cocktails!!
You are becomming one of my most favorite TH-cam channels man! I discoverd you just before I went to a Greek island so I just got to know some cocktails from your channel to enjoy there (I am only 17 so I never had cocktails before except for a few that I made myself but those are not universal recipes). I only drank the ones that I saw from your channel and maaaan I enjoyed them so much. The White Russian & Cosmopolitan were my favorites :D
@@StevetheBartender_ if I had to choose between Cosmopolitan and White Russian, probably Cosmopolitan tastes better but White Russian has a more exotic taste
My go to drink involves midori, and it is super simple. I fill a glass with ice, pour in 1 part midori, 2 parts ginger ale, and then squeeze in 2 lime slices and drop them in as well, then stir. The flavors mix so well together and it is super refreshing. If you use chilled ginger ale, it helps the ice not melt as fast as well. I make it for friends who visit all the time and they love it!
I would add the "Piggelin", named after the Swedish ice popsicle with a similar taste. 1 oz Midori 1 oz Vodka 4-5 oz of lemon-lime soda (7up, Sprite etc) Pour the first two ingredients into a highball glass filled with ice and top up with soda. Give it a gentle stir to combine.
So fun to watch your passion witch cocktails! Im on an education where i learn to be a bartender or barista.Your shelf is much bigger then mine for cocktails. I love your vids some cocktails i use to learn to others in mine class thank you for this.👍🏻👍🏻💕🌸
It's like 6am over here in California and I love watching this ahah I work overnight so when I get out of work at 5:30am and I see that you post a video it makes me want to make a drink... then again it's too early to drink ahah. But honestly love watching your videos keep it up man.
Midori is Love. Such pretty color. One drink I've come across is called Emerald City. 8 oz Malibu, equal parts (4 oz ) Midori and Blue Curacao, 1 dash of sour mix and 1 dash of Sprite.
With that glass and the colour, the midori illusion looks the best (at least to me). Also, as I like to consume lots of liquids that one would probably be the one I choose.
One of my favorite drinks is called the desert mist. Midori Pineapple juice Coconut rum Sprite It’s sooo damn good. 😋 🤤 Can’t wait to try some of these midori cocktails.
Love me some Midori.. my brothers first bar tend job he used to make these Midori Sours and Tom Collins... flew off the shelf. It was right when the movie Cocktails came out.
Hey Steve, would you consider making a video showcasing the 5 most useful/basic spirits one should have at home if they're considering making themselves or friends a drink every now and then? Perhaps make a few drinks with them, that sort of stuff! Your videos are really engaging and got me interested in cocktails a lot more than I would've thought, so I'm thinking of trying some of your recipes out for myself. In any case, keep up the good work man, much love!
Grabbed a bottle of Midori on a whim and pulled up the first Steve video I could find on it. Just tried a Midori sour and Japanese Slipper. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a very artificial taste from something so neon green but honestly? It's light and refreshing. I've gone from doubting the validity of a spirit to thinking it may possibly become a staple in my home bar.
I'm sure it tastes amazing but gosh does it look great color wise. Something about the midori and blue curacao colors attract me to them so much. Great vid steve!
The first time I ever had Midori was in a Broken Down Golf Cart 😅 very weird way to be introduced to something so tasty. I've also had it in a Midori Splice, topped with coconut cream rather than regular. Absolutely delicious, have to try the Midori Sour now!
I've always known it called a Scooby Snack for 50+ years. (I've never heard of a Midori splice or splice ice cream.) 30ml Midori 30ml Malibu 30ml pineapple juice 30ml half and half Add ice, shake for 12 seconds, serve in a high ball. (No garnish) MY FAVORITE! 😊
Yeah those bright pink neon colored cherries (or in the Japanese Slipper case one stemmed IMHO is the best) are also my choice of cherries here! As you said it, stands out better, gives it a nice contrast (green-red) and overall looks somewhat nicer, since the midori is also quite neon-y colored. Hands down the best Midori cocktail there is. I could engulf thousands of these in a single night.
Bro that illusion is dynamite I just made it thanks for the tip because I really like Midori and I needed more cocktails to make with it Good looking out homeboy..🤣👍

I love Midori, I have to get via Amazon as I live in the UK (£33!) and first discovered it when I was given a Rick & Marty link to cocktails which mainly focuses on the colour. I drank a Boston sour last night with Midori instead of Whiskey. Really nice, great video and I’ll be trying them when I get some pineapple juice. Thanks
Hey Steve, your killing it in these videos. thank you for all the new recipes and good info. I'm a new bartender and am excited to sell some of these more interesting drinks. real quick, in the description your Midori sour says 30 mL but in the video you add 60, just a small typo. anyway keep up the good work, cheers!
Just tried out the Japanese Slipper, I never had anything quite like that before. It tastes what I would imagine a green potion from any fantasy video game would taste like. Sour, medicinal, and fruity.
The Japanese slipper is a personal favourite of mine. Try throwing a splash of grenadine in on the end to make the cherry stand out and give the drink a bit of visual dimension.
I just made the japanese splitter pretty good everyone likes it!!! I did a second try and i put half oz of white rum and 1 dip extra angostura bitter to :)
