As we all know, the price of petrol is all time high at or around Rs 100 per litre whereas the average price of electricity is around Rs 6 per kWh (Unit in layman’s speak).
Due to this low cost of electricity, the owner of an electric scooter saves most while riding it on a daily basis. Watch this video to understand the min number of KMs to be ridden for electric scooter to make sense economically.

1. company has tested the range in ideal condition and not on Indian roads so actual on road range is less.
2. battery decays over a period of time and hence the range also drops every year.
3. you have to change the battery after atleast 5 years for a smoother and longer experience and the cost is like 40% of the entire EV.
conclusion: just by showing a table won't answer the debatable qst "EV vs Petrol". Math is not everything, thoda logic bhi zarori hai

The comparison done on price is good. I appreciate your work. But it's not only the point to consider for buying the vehicle. Their are others too.
1. Charging station that are not readily available, only at specific location. In case of petrol vehicle stations are available at every place.
2. Time for charging the battery 2-3 hr. In case of petrol vehicles it may take 5-10 min for fueling the vehicle.
3. Even if you charge for full we cannot use it for long distances
4. Speed of vehicle is also restricted.

Battery replacement and servicing costs are way off. You should probably see owners who are struggling with this service costs especially ather. A break pad costs them 600/- every 10kms so 1200/- for rear and front pads. If not you will have to buy subscription plans, they are costly too. Coming to battery replacements they are 80% of the vehicle cost. So as of now EV’s does not make much sense.

it's not mandatory to replace battery after five years. Batteries in bikes from reliable manufacturers last much longer. Also, most manufacturers provide additional warranty for batteries typically that is longer than the bike's warranty.

The number of charging stations atm also needs to be kept into account
U haven't accounted for petrol prices going up. And servicing cost going up. And battery cost going down. So finally electric bike would be cheaper to have over a period of 5 yrs. Also, save India from petrol imports.
And you haven't taken battery deterioration, range problem into consideration . Plus once electric bike's battery discharges , you have to wait till it recharges , which renders your bike useless atleast for an hour , on top of that it won't be fully recharged.
@@adityabhor8935 yes brother, these issues are right. But i believe these technologies will improve over a period of time. And its a small way contributing to this growth of these technologies. We have to be part of our nation if we want get away from dependency of importing petrol. Currently these vehicles are good for near ranges which most of us use. I have been using one for last 2 weeks taking to and fro my daughter to her school. I m happy i m part of our Nation's objective.

Jo 30000ka difference hai wo sip lumpsump me invest kr do 5saal ke liye to 55k ke aas paas return mil jayega.
Aur Petrol Wale Bike Ki baat Hi Alag hai chalane me.
There are also other factors to be considered, like what is durability & reliability of vehicle after 5 years. And i am guessing electric vehicle will not be very realiable in that case.
Another factor to consider is cheap repair of petrol/diesel vehicle. Electric vehicle will have very less repair station plus repair will be very costly.
That was my personal opinion, please correct me if i am wrong or if you have anything to add.

if you drive electric bike more, you will have to replace the battery soon because it won’t be giving you the same range after a couple of years. factoring in that cost vs cost of petrol over year, it will be more or less same in today’s scenario
After 5-6 year battery replacement should also be considered and resale value of bike

Why battery replacement cost per year. ? Revolt gives 6years of warranty , so u dont worry about battary replacement cost.after 6 years if u replace your battery it would cost around 50 k...
1) Battery ki life 50000 km (10k * 5 years as you have said in video). Ab jab aap 3k/year chalate ho toh aapko battery 5 saal me badal ne ki zarurat nhi padegi. 8-10 saal to battery chalegi hi.

It's totally depends on petrol/disel price as today it's make a milestone crossing 100 rupees may be after one month they will achieve another milestone like 300

Bike servicing, maintenance, insurance, PUC etc should be one more factor added in the table.
What about replacing batteries? They are still costlier than the regular maintenance and spare changes of a normal petrol bike. Don't you think so?

I don't agree. Only cost of purchasing and ownership is not the factor for making the purchase decisions. Range and charging availability is a factor as well. E bikes are still half baked

Electric vehicle has tyres, bearings, sensors, wire cables, cone sets, shock absorbers, lights etc. They need service and some times replacement.
For them if ridden regularly the cost exceeds 5000 and maybe costs above 10K in a span of 5 years.
Agar runing kam he to battery cycles bhi kam use honge and jo 30k ka cost lagaya he 5 yrs ke bad battery replacement ka wo 7 yrs tak aaramse chal jayga ye jaruri nahi he ki 5 sal ho gaye to battery change kardo
And wese bhi 5 saal ke bad kya battery technology hoga and uska cost kya hoga wo abhi batana mushkil he
