It was amazing how shocked the world was when HM Queen Elizabeth II passed away at 96 years old; I think our collective subconscious just didn't want it to happen. God Bless Queen Elizabeth! God Save The King!

Princess Anne stayed by her mum through all of this. King Charles aged during her death and funeral. You could tell her loved and truly mourned her death.
I wish the Crown would go this far but from what I’ve heard they are only going to 2003 in season 6. RIP Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Long live His Majesty King Charles III.

I remember a tv anchor saying last year ago while discussing about her health and age, that we will never forget the moment where we will be when the news about her death will break.
It will stay with me for all of my life. I was home, 8 pm evening, and suddenly.... The news broke.

My late father & I passed her in traffic in Lexington, KY in '89 when she was visiting a horse farm. There's a castle here between the airport & the horse farm. I was so young I thought that was her castle. After seeing what American democracy has been going through lately, a constitutional monarchy seems like a wonderful idea.

Great video, but just a point of detail, she lay in state in Westminster Hall, not the Abbey. The funeral was in the Abbey.
She died One year and One day after my Mother. Crazy thing is, my mom was born in 1954, when Elizabeth was already Queen. Elizabeth was Queen for my Mothers entire life, from start to finish. Do not tell me she wasn’t important, my Mother idolized Queen Elizabeth II. She said, “That’s the classiest woman I’ve ever seen.”

Her late Majesty did not lie in state in Westminster Abbey. She lay in state in the Great Hall, the oldest part, of the Palace of Westminster (The Houses of Parliament). Westminster Abbey is a short distance away but is not part of the parliamentary complex. Her coffin was carried from Westminster Great Hall to Westminster Abbey on a gun carriage for the funeral service.
